I am in a shoe store, I believe at a mall in the Philippines. I ask the sales clerk if I can try on a pair of their shoes. She asks me my age. I notice this is weird and ask if she needs my shoe size. She says no, and asks my age again. I tell her I am seventeen (I am 24 in real life) and she says no, they don't have it. I leave and go to another store. The same sales clerk follows me into the store, and now tells me that they have the shoes and that they are only $1. I wonder why the price is in American dollars instead of Philippine pesos.
