Dreamed I Was Bit By A Dog

Lucid Night Flight

In this dream I was petting a small dog when he bit my index finger of my left hand. For some reason I didn't think that he would dare to bite me, so I persisted to pet him, thinking that my finger was hurting for some other reason. However, then he bit me again on that finger and I looked at it, but instead of blood I saw brown pus come out of the bite marks. I know that dreams are often symbolic and I've read somewhere that seeing a dog in a dream is a metaphor for a friend - so could this mean that I will be hurt by a friend or something along those lines? If anyone can interpret this dream for me, I would be very grateful.

I think you're right. That probably means something connected with friendship. Not so bad omen to put yourself about it, but caution is recommended in relations with your so-called friends...
The left hand relates rather to emotions than logic, and you were bit in your left hand, so your feelings are vulnerable to get hurt.

Yes Dog Bites in Dreams are supposed to indicate someone being loyal to you would utimately betray you in some way, but it could also indicate repressed anger or even fear considering dog's usually bite people and other animals as a defense mechanism.
