Just something I've been wondering for a while. Is there any general meaning for dreams about losing something or someone and still be happy about it?

To resume the specific dream: I was somewhere near where I live, and I noticed I'm chained (chained with ...a chain) to a girl whom I don't even know all that well. The only thing we had in common was the same tutor, and we only actually met there like once or twice a week, but never talked to each other or anything (in short, a stranger). Then I can't really recall how the chain broke off, and I saw her leaving on a bus (it seems my dream self knew she was leaving forever). And after I couldn't see the bus anymore I jumped around all happy and laughing, I even said "I'm finally free" ...and woke up soon after.

Like I asked before, just wondering if there's a general meaning for this kind of dreams, but in-depth meanings are also welcome
