Thread: Dream About Trying To Get Hom

Hi,

I keep having this recurring dream where I've been out having fun or doing something somewhere, and then the dream ends up being me trying to get home and it's always complicated and difficult. Usually I get lost on the underground, sometimes my car won't start, or I realise I'm much further away from home than I thought. I can be in the UK or abroad, the details change but it always ends up the same - I can't get home.

Any ideas, or is it obvious?

One of the most common reoccurring Dream Motifs is getting lost, losing things or people, and then trying to find them or return to wherever or whatever.

I think the point of such dreams is to allow us to get over our obsession with such things. We are supposed to move on. Ultimately we will all die someday, and when we do, we will need to move forward, and not always be trying to get back to the things we had 'lost' in life.

Now, you don't have to necessarily be Lucid in order to cure yourself of the obsession of trying to return home or finding lost things or people... you can simply suggest it to yourself that you behave differently in your dreams. Go over these dreams in your head and contemplate different choices.
