Zombies!

Yesterday I had a dream that I went down these basement stairs that just kept going and going. There were other people there, and somewhere down the stairs they encountered something that turned them into zombies. I got upstairs and lured the two zombies following me into a trash can, but they got out and turned me into a zombie (I think just by breathing on me). The dream kind of shifted and I was talking to two guys, then I remembered I was a zombie and breathed on them, making them zombies (their skin turned kind of dull and plastic-looking). THen I was afraid of them, cause they were zombies, even though I made them that way 0.o I know it was a chasing dream, which usually means issues you aren't facing, and there seemed to be some kind of fear-of-corruption thing going on there. Anyone else have input on dream-zombies?

Thats very interesting, zombies are one of my most common re-occuring dream images (way before I had ever seen any zombie movies too). Remember, that only you can really interpret your own dreams, but heres my two bits. Since you yourself became a zombie it is very likely that the zombie image refers to something about your own mind. I don't know what your personal history is, but in my case the zombie dreams occured in a time of severe disconnection with the world, indeed, I shambled through life looking like something out of a Romero movie. Have you had feeling like this perhaps? Something that has made you unfulfilled or "dead" inside. It's interesting also that the zombie transformed you by its breath, breath is a powerful symbol, often of the soul, and the stealing of a soul through breath is a very common theme in folklore, you've probably heard the stories of witches cats stealing babies breath not to mention the superstision of holding your breath as you pass a cemetary, to keep the dead from taking it. Like I said, only you can know what your dreams mean, but I hope I gave you something to maybe think about.

I have been having lately dreams about zombies too. I never had such dreams until i watched the movie "Dawn of the Dead" which fascinated me and i have watched it over 10 times till now I had some terror dreams before, but never with zombies. Anyway, i used to see the exact same dream... being chased by zombies but never getting me. Always the same scenery, always the same faces, always the samer sotry. Last night i had another dream of zombies, different this time, chasing me at the basement of my building when finally someone opened his door to let me in and escape. Apart from tha fact that i am totally a freak (kidding!), i wonder what else it means dreaming that i am chased by zombies but always finding ways to escape!
