      significance of dream content .. places and people

      Hi,
      I was told once that everything in a dream should be seen as representing oneself, i.e. the place(s), the people, etc should all be viewed as some of some aspect of the dreamer. Is this true?

      I think it is not true in general. It might sometimes be true. But how can a person make such a sweeping statement about the dreams of other people they don’t even know? It is often true to a partial extent for me, but it is most certainly not the whole story.
