I don't know what things about me or my life are relevant in order to interpret this dream. I am 18, a female, just finishing my senior year of high school. I have health anxiety and my dreams are often related to my fear of illness. However this wasn't a particularly unpleasant dream and I don't think this has anything to do with my fear of illness. Mostly, in the dream I felt calm and happy. Until the end, where I was just very confused.

Dream: I was in my old school, at an assembly. The principal showed some old drawings and said one of them was from a student who was sitting in the audience. He said it was a drawing I made as a child. The drawing was a very childish drawing of a flying animal which he then explained was a dragon. The words "spirit animal" were written above it. Then he said, "to overcome obstacles, your spirit animal will give you strength." Then he came close to me and said, "Do you know what your spirit animal is??" And he showed me a plate of hot food that looked like some kind of white meat. The first thing I thought of and said out loud was "rabbit", then I said "deer". Then I was shown a pinboard of crumpled up notes that my mom had left for me in the past,(she sometimes leaves notes for me before she travels or just randomly) and then I read them, all of the papers were grass green. Then I said, out of nowhere, "My mom is my spirit animal??" because i thought about it and thought that she could help me to overcome obstacles and give me strength. But it still didn't entirely make sense that she was a "spirit animal". Then I was at a beach house. My grandfather was there, lounging in a chair. (I should mention that he passed away a couple of years ago). He was speaking to me but I couldn't hear or understand anything. Then my dog who died a few years ago came running to me and I was so happy when she jumped into my arms... Then my grandfather said something like "Here. I will give you something that will help." He reached into a pool that was near him, and he gave me a little black feather. ((Now, after thinking about it, a few months after my grandfather died, we went on a trip to a beach, to cheer my grandmother up. It was raining and kind of cold though, at the time. At night, we closed the door, but in the morning there was a little black bird there, waiting by our door. I said "maybe it's grandpa..." and my grandmother was really happy, idk the little bird really cheered her up. Even after the trip she kept mentioning the bird. Maybe she really thought it was him. I hadn't thought about this much until I had this dream and I was trying to figure out what the feather meant..)) Anyway, after that dream, I had another dream. I was in the same beach house, where my grandfather was. Except this time, I was at the front door. My grandmother and my mother were there too. My grandmother left some silver necklaces on the front door. One of them had a silver starfish pendant on it. Then she started to get upset and started saying stuff about my grandfather and how she missed him. I was about to tell her about my dream where I was in the same beautiful beach house and that one day they would reunite there. But suddenly before I could say anything, my grandmother kissed my mom on the lips! It was very disturbing, because it was quite a long kiss and I just stood there, like, wtf is going on??!? That was the end of the dream...
