Thread: Strange Graphic Dream, How would you interpret?

All right, this is extremely strange and I woke up very relieved that it wasn't real. In my dream I grew a penis. I was shocked, as I am a woman. I started to get very scared and wore different girdles and things to hide it. Then my body started sprouting more of them! I eventually ended up showing a few people including my best friend, my mom and my ex boyfriend. I was panicking. I still had a vagina, but also by this time 4 large penises and 1 sort of mediocre penis but no testicles to speak of. I went on the internet in my dream to see if I could find a pro-bono surgeon to remove them! I remember telling myself in my dream "You are a woman! You've had a child! You get your period!" I woke up very glad to just have... me down there.

1. HAVING CHILDREN?
It seems the masculine took over for a while. Are you a single parent, doing the job of a father too?
Or are you entering menopause, and realize soon you can no longer have children? That might appear to take your womanhood. Because you assert you are woman who had a child and you get your period. Maybe that period is over.
Whatever it was, it shocked you, scared you, and you tried to squeeze it in and hide it which is when it grew more because you tried to repress it. As to why four, it just might mean more, to show the idea's growth.
Having no testicles to speak of might suggest being incomplete in this area, also is the fertile part. I guess it doesn't mean you don't have the balls in this area - or does it??


2. HAVING A BOYFRIEND?
Eventually you showed your best friend, mom, and ex boyfriend. Now you were panicking.
That makes me wonder why would you confide in your ex as well?
Can the dream be about not having a boyfriend???? One mediocre penis might be explained by that. That this area is mediocre. And maybe you want it to grow much more and are panicking over that not happening.
"You are a woman! You've had a child! You get your period!" in this context might mean because you've had a child, you fear your period is over for getting a guy.

REMOVAL
You finally tried to remove the offending parts.
Looking on the internet probably means where everything can be found, in you.
Maybe because it scared you so much you wanted this desire, or fear, gone.
'Pro bono' means what does not have to be paid for, given for the good of the patient. So maybe you didn't want to pay a price to reverse this situation, or go back to normal.

An alternative idea: you know how in life we go around saying that objects that look like a penis look phalic? What if in this dream the penises stand for something else that is phalic? Four large and one mediocre, that makes me think of five fingers of a hand, growing an extra hand in private where no one should see. Could it be that you are in need of an extra helping hand in some very private matter, perhaps in need of the kind of help that usually a man could provide?

Whenever I try to interpret dreams I try to keep things simple, sometimes I think it is too easy to get wrapped up in the symbology and over-analyzing. Something I think makes more sense to do here is focus on your emotions during the dream. How did you feel?

From what you've told us, it's clear you felt like you lost control. You were also very embarrassed about something to the point that you must hide it from the public, and you only felt comfortable sharing this secret with a very select few people. What alarmed you was that you had grown male appendages... that despite your identity being female, you would now be labeled as a male, or worse, you had actually become male.
