Disturbing dream
Hi. I had a very disturbing dream which made me want to understand and interpret it. As I have no knowledge of dream interpretation, I was hoping someone might shed a light on what they think this may mean.
I Saw (from a small distance) 4 or 5 black crows moving along in the waves of a very dark sea/ocean. They were (what looked like) riding the waves. Wings spread right out but keeping on top of the water whilst being pushed by it. They didn't look scared and looked straight ahead, but as I was looking at them I was terrified. Then I saw myself being lifted out of the same water, (although this time there was light everywhere) I was on a cross and rushed upwards from the depths up to a few metres over the water. I was terrified and I woke up feeling very scared, stressed, sweaty/hot and with my arms by my side almost like being on a cross.
If anybody has any suggestions on what this may mean I would really appreciate your input as this dream has left me very edgy. Thank you :-)

Oceans in a dream can represent our emotional life..as it interacts with the emotional life of others, humanity. Birds in general can suggest messengers....crows however are known to be the deceptive messenger. Seeing 4-5 crows riding the waves could mean that you need to be alert right now to anyone who would have a reason to deceive you be it business or personal life.some facet of your life. You being lifted "out of the water" surrounded by light shows that the outcome with be ok, but during the process of what might come, you intuitively feel it , but don't know the source yet. Being "on a cross" suggests someone might try to "crucify you" "blame you" or in general throw you under the bus so to speak. To sum it up.....be calm, stay calm, surround yourself with light, stick to your truth, and be alert to anyone's attempts at deception. If they succeed, know "what goes around comes around".

The crows are your negative thoughts that you see ahead of you, pushed along by your dark emotions, or maybe depression.
Your own thoughts terrify you. Because they are negative, or fears.
Then you lifted yourself out of it, seeing the light or seeing clearly, and either crucifying the negative bullshit, or being crucified by it because you were terrified, indicating not in control.
So I think maybe you saw you had to crucify - or sacrifice - your sins or negative thoughts to be lifted up out of it, into the light of understanding.

Superman....I hope you are right on this one and not me for the dreamer's sake.

I think the fact that Easter just happened should not be ignored. Crosses are on a lot of people's minds around Easter time. Are you a Christian? Perhaps identifying a bit too much with the crucified Christ during this season? If not a Christian, perhaps Christianity disturbs you, and thus Easter brought on this disturbing dream?
If you are a Christian, then maybe the cross is not the only Christian symbolism in this dream? Being lifted out of the waves could be like baptism or the resurrection, anyway being born again into life through Christ's sacrifice for you.
If you are not a Christian by the way, and you feel that my interpretation is too Christian centric, please feel free to disregard that.
If you are Christian, since the symbology in most of the dream may be Christ centric, I would consider the crows from a Christian symbolism point of view as well. Now personally I was not familiar with crow as symbol in Christianity, so I looked it up and found this site ChristStory Raven, Crow, Blackbird Page - I would however suggest that when you read through this you only consider those interpretation symbols as plausible which you likely had heard of before even if you had forgotten. Personally I do not believe in universal symbols, and I think the crows in your dream likely mean something that you had already heard of at some point. So if you have never heard of the idea of crow as a symbol for Mary, than that is probably not it. But maybe you heard of crow as a symbol for bad omen or for certain sins? If those ring a bell to you when you read the possible symbols, consider those symbols that sound most plausible to you to be more likely - you are the judge of your dream's meaning.
