Conkers after a bad date

I haven't posted here before, but I was really intrigued by what I dreamt this morning after a date that ended with me feeling like an idiot last night. I can't see how the dream is related, but I'd be amazed if my subconscious had time for anything else!

So the dream: I was among some huge trees, picking what were basically conkers/horse chestnuts, except they had smooth shells, not spiky. Then I realised I was working - one of the teams I work with was out there with me, and I was showing them how to pick the right conkers (don't know why). I was explaining that only the soft shells were ripe, and they should leave the hard ones to keep growing. I peeled open a soft shell, and I was right - a shiny big nut was there in the middle. But I felt like a fraud - I had actually only figured this trick out whilst talking to them!

Background: I don't think I need to work with this team. Part of my job is to represent their work to senior management, but they do a perfectly good job of that by themselves. Do you need to know about the date? It's sounding less relevant! Can we just say it went well until I chased her out onto the street?
