Thread: Dream that involves the end of the world and suicide

Hello im new to site and this dream occurred last night. I just want to know your insight on my dream.
Dream:
The dream started off with me ascending these flight of stairs on the side of a mountain. My surroundings were covered in fog (not the stairs part but beyond the mountain also it was pretty bright) and there were thousands of people going ascending the same stairs. I looked ahead and saw my mother and little sister talking to each other and smiling as they went up. I moved my way past some people to ask them what's going on, they told me to relax and join them (they never mentioned where). As we continued up the stairs i overhear that this is the end and we would reach the top where we could die peacefully, free from the barren wasteland on earth. Apparently, the force at the top would slowly suck away our energy but it would cause us no pain and we would die slowly but happy. Upon hearing this, i quickly informed my mom and lil sis, both replied with "join us." They began to tell me there us nothing left on earth and chance of life was all but gone. I refused to join them and quickly ran down the stairs pushing people out of the way. Running down the stairs, i noticed people looking at me with smiling faces which creeped me out. As i finally reach the bottom, i see nothing but a barren wasteland of crumbled buildings and small numbers of people that didn't choose to go up and now regretting their decision.
Just as the man from the mountain said, there was nothing left. I walked through the wasteland in tears and shouting. As hope was seemed lost, i found a tree unaffected by the destruction on earth. I said to myself that there is still hope for humanity. I inspected the tree to see how it could have possilbility survived the the force that could have destroyed the city. Behind the tree was a young woman that i befriended and she asked if i would help her rebuild civilization and save the human. I agreed and we set off on some journey scavenging for materials. Next thing i know we have a farm, then it seems to flash forward into time where we have cities and urban environments.

I forgot to mention the part when i arrived back down to discover the destroyed planet, there was this big name corporation, much like the tree, remained the same. The building was pure white with clear glass windows. I see a man in white inspecting the land and went back inside.

After the creation of big cities, i woke up. The dream felt really long and it really felt like a lifetime has passed. Time i slept: 2:00am Woke Up: 9:15am
