[quote]GingGoth,
If you happen to become lucid or you are lucid during these encounters with this guitarest, this may be one thing you would like to consider.
Although it won't be easy, in a dream you know there will be no real repructions or direct interaction with the DC. So maybe in the dream you can break it of. Cut your ties with this person. It may help you physcologically overcome your true feelings that you have while your awake. Because if you cannot be with either person it would seem to recreate the heartache each day.
On the other hand if it helps you to interact with those charachters because you could not otherwise be with them in a literal sense, then leave well enough alone.

Cheers man that helped alot actually, breaking it off in the dream would give me closure, and perhaps I could get that in the other loose end in my past life, I never considered that as an option for LD.

Dear GingGoth,

Dream Characters don't always have to be seen as representing anything. Dreaming is often done for its own sake. A Dream Character is its own Dream Character. He or She is as He or She appears.

One of my sentimentally favorite dreams was with Carly Simon... remember her?... she was hot back in the seventies. Anyway, I took up a minor part on stage at one of her concerts. I even forget whether I was on drum, keyboard, guitar or violin. But most memorable in this dream was that after the concert, Carly invited everybody to her Estate on Martha's Vinyard Island. Everything was perfectly charming. She even tracked me down and sat with me and gave me her attention for 5 minutes with a bit of a little chat. She was a wonderfully attentive hostess.

Now, was that REALLY Carly Simon? Well, yes and no. To be a successful performer, one really needs to project a certain well crafted Persona. Perhaps these Performance Personas can actually take on a certain Life of Their Own.

It puts me in mind of Nicole Kidman, arguably today's most talented actress. It certainly seems that she is able to craft almost completely detailed altar Personas -- the characters she plays in these movies. Then when she comes on the talk shows, she is this thick speeking young lady from Down Under... hardly the same person at all, from all of the Movie Characters whom she has been able to create whole out of almost nothing.

One needs to wonder whether these elaborately created Personas have some real existence on the Pyschic/Spiritual/Suggective level.

When someone 'creates' a character, does that character then exist at some level? Perhaps so.

So your rock band hero may well be the Persona of that rock band hero. maybe not the real self of that man -- the young man that still argues with mom and dad about his haircut when he visits them on holiday -- but the stage persona may have its own reality by now.
Cheers also dude! perhaps when i break things off for sure like ^^^ said.. then I can take advantage of who I'm actually dreaming about
