Anyone else think this is weird?

Normally i never come 2 interpret my dreams, or try for that matter. Basically because i find there is no reason 2, I find dreams 2 have no paticular meaning like most people think. However the last 5 dreams i have had always repeat itself in different ways -
I'm constantly fighting w/my mom on everything & nothing, & @ the end of each dream i run away from wherever it is i am having this fight.
@ first i thought nothing about it but i haven't had one new dream yet, so something has 2 be up!
The strangest thing is me & my mom r getting along fine & i have no urge 2 run away @ all.
Any dream interpreters out there that might have a clue of why this is happening? :?

Strange how your dream doesn't seem to be reflecting reality. What are your emotions during these dream fights? I would guess anger/rage that leads to an urge to run away from the fight. I wonder if there's anyone else in reality who might be pushing your buttons.

I had a fight with my mom and sister in a dream last night. My feelings were rage at being made to feel immature/incompetent/worthless. I think my mind is simply integrating the feelings I've had recently when I screwed up at work. Just like my mind integrates the things and people I've been dealing with lately.

I would need to know more about your reality before anything close to interpretation can be made. The biggest thing that comes to mind is that there may be some conflict or feelings in reality that your mind is sifting and sorting and integrating while you sleep.

One major theory about why we dream is to deal with strong emotions that would be inappropriate to express in reality. Maybe it has been a long time since you've been in a heated fight, and now it's time to consider these feelings. I bet you see your mom regularly don't you?

Let me know how close I've got.

First off, i see my mom every second of the day! we r very close & hardly ever fight, but when we do fight it can be quite bad as in BAD.

In the dreams i often feel like my mom isn't giving me enough credit , nor understanding what i'm going through, & just isn't on the same page as me. Leading into me often running away 2 make her feel guilty & want me back.

It is a li'll confusing c-ing as how i am not feeling this in my actual reality state.

What i do now is: recently i often feel i haven't been doing enough help around the house, or enough 2 assist my mom. Could this is in any way be acting out in a different parttern in these such paticular dreams?

So at first I thought the dream conflict was about anger (like disagreement). You're saying the conflict was about misunderstanding.

I also thought the running was about escape. You're saying the running was meant to be ensure reconciliation (via mom's guilt).

To attempt to answer your question: Perhaps your mom misunderstanding you = you dissappointed in you (for not helping enough), and you running (to ensure reconciliation) = you accepting not helping enough.

It's hard for me to express. It makes sense that in dreams you might confuse your identity with you mom's (an important/admirable figure). I would guess you might have been slacking in you helping for some time now. Also, I suspect you've only recently been feeling guilty/aware of it. Maybe you've been slacking extra bad lately--but I feel this is less likely.

What would happen if you suddenly increased the amount of helping you mom?

P.S. I was pleasantly surprised to see I was accurate in predicting you spent a lot of time with you mom. This interpretation section is a lot of fun.

I guess i will try 2 think more of these guilty feelings & conclude how i feel. I shall also put more assistance into helping my mom & see what happens...

This is a Dream of Rites of Passage. You are going from that time where you loved your mother with almost a total worship, to being an independent Woman of your own. Ofcourse the Ties must be broken. Of course the fledgling bird must leave the nest.

And yes, it often appears that hard feelings are created in the midst while these necessary separations, in the cause of advancing maturity, occur. I'v actually been out on my own for a while now....over the last year i have made decisions w/out my mom & have been moving out....i just feel down for not being there for her recently...

But i guess that makes some sense

Oh, sometimes it takes years. People in their thirties and forties set up these elaborate "Cutting the Ties that Bind" ceremonies in order to finally exorcise negative parental influences.

It took me a long time before I could shake-off the childhood and teenage dynamics I had had with my own mother. It was not until I was in my forties that our relationship could be normalized to that of two adults who could talk about most everything without some hot button being pushed.

I've noticed in my dreams that my relationship with my father has been largely rehabilitated. As you go through these dreams, everything seems to get worked out.
