Strange, rather vivid dream?

Hi, Just wondering if anyone can help me figure this out? (Seeing as I really haven't a clue?) Last night I had a rather vivid dream. Vivid in that I felt conscious throughout the entire dream - my perception, and everything around me was crystal clear. Almost liquid in how the dream flowed. Usually when I dream, things seem rather hazy or foggy, and generally something feels off or surreal, and I usually have little or no control. In this case I had perfect control over myself, although I was unaware that I was dreaming. The dream itself appeared to be set at some kind of party, although I have no idea what the occasion was, although it did feel like I was the host, or had played some part in organising it. The party in itself was rather unusual; it wasn't your typical loud music, dancing and drinking party, at night. Rather it was set it the daytime (for the most part. towards the end, it became night somewhere down the line). As for the location, it appeared to be in a park somewhere in america. It looked rather like central park, which is odd, in that I've never set foot in central park in my life. There was a very wide footpath, at the top of an even wider, very shallow slope, going down towards a lake. In the distance, behind the trees on the other side of the lake, there was a skyscraper of some sort. The party was being held in the middle of this pathway, in what appeared to be one of those wedding tents (Sorry, I forget the proper name for them!). The interior was fairly similar to this: marquee-hire.info/photo-gallery-images/cream-ivory-wedding-tent.jpg [sorry I can't post links yet!] Most of the people there were dressed up; most of the guys there wearing shirts and ties, and the girls wearing the prom dresses that I saw them wearing last year (I have a good memory!). Most of the guests consisted of people that I know, the majority of them all being friends. I myself was wearing my new charcoal grey suit, with the black velvet trim, and matching crombie overcoat. (all of these details are parts of what made this dream so vivid and feel so real I believe) The first thing that I remember is showing one of my friends to a seat at a table on the edge of the tent, and speaking to her for a while. After which, I recieved a call from another friend, on my mobile, and proceeded to walk down the said pathway to meet him, walking for a good 10-15 minutes. Then finaly getting there, I vaguely remember something about him tackling me, before standind around talking to me for a while, before we proceeded to walk back to the tent where the party was being held. This is where it started to get interesting. After arriving back, I sat my friend down at the same table as I had the other friend, on the opposite side, and turned round to find myself face to face with a girl who I... used to have feelings for? I sat her down next to the first friend, and went to get them bottled water (rather expensive looking bottle water!). Upon returning, I found that the other seats had been taken buy a group of guys a few years below myself in college. One of them, wearing a trilby for some reason, was talking to the girl that I'd had feelings for. Finding that there were no seats left near her, or indeed at the table at all, I found myself suddenly feeling rather upset and hurt, but tried to hide it from them when they asked me. Feeling hurt, I quickly wandered off, round the corner (No idea how the layout of the tent actually was, but apparently it was large and had different rooms). By this point, nighttime had set in although I don't recall exactly when. Going into the room next door, I turned round to find a girl sitting in the corner of the room, on the side of the room closest to the door. Although I can't say I know her personally, I straight away knew who the said girl was. A girl in her first year at college named Alice. She's aged 16 (I'm currently 19, as of a few weeks ago.) and was wearing a cream, almost white prom-dress. I have only seen her in person a handful of times, and have never spoken to her in person. I've spoken to her once online, via facebook, although (probably due to the fact that I've never met her in person, and I'm effectively just some stranger who goes to the same college) she deleted me. I'll admit that my first reaction when I saw her was to think how incredibly cute she was. However in the case of this dream, she looked straight at me, with a smile and said "hey!", as if she were a close friend. She grabbed my by both arms and forced me to sit next to her. This was followed by me talking to her for what felt like hours upon hours. After a time, some of her friends arrived. I remember feeling vaguely surprised, although pleased to see them there, as I don't remember them being invited. I then remember something (It started to get hazy at this point) about her friends and her talking and joking with me, and Alice sitting on me (In that friendly annoying way that people do to people that they know), and laughing about it. After that, the last thing that I remember is thinking that she seemed to be a nice person, and that I'd made a new friend. And of course, at this point I woke up, feeling most bemused. And since waking up, this girl has not left my head, almost as if burnt in there somehow! I'm really not sure what to make of this, so I was wondering if anyone had any ideas? Normally I woulnd't so much at think twice about it.. but this seemed more significant? I don't really know how or why, but it does?

I was tired when I was writing this.. I seem to have missed the point a bit. During the part where I was "talking" to Alice; this seemed to be the most important part of the dream.. almost the whole point of it? It went on for far longer than any other part of the dream, and it felt like I was having a real, indepth conversation with another person. This part of the dream was incredibly clear, and really felt meaningful for one reason or another. I can't describe it, but its as if I was actually talking to her. Most of the other people in the dream didn't feel quite.. real? Minute details were off, or the way that they acted just wasn't quite "there". But in her case, that was gone; quite the opposite infact - it was like I was actually talking to her!

This might sound strange, but when I read your post my first thought was that you had a converstion with your angel or guide and symbolically in order to relate- you put her in the form of this "Alice".

Sorry for the late reply! Possibly - I hadn't thought of that. But it was more like I was actually speaking with Alice. And its not like we were speaking about anything at all profound either - just general every day talk really. What made this stand out to me more than usual though, was how much I felt that I "connected" with her? As in, only in a way which is possible when actually conversing with someone.
