Thread: HELP! Anyone?!

Sorry, it's not as dramatic as it sounds...But I've been dreaming about the same person for over four weeks now. They have appeared in ALL of my dreams, every night for nearing five weeks now!

The person (whose name I'm not gonna mention as that's not fair!) is a celebrity of sorts whom I admire, find attractive, funny, charming etc. and being an aspiring actress, I'd love to work with them one day. (They are older than me, I'm 18)

In my dreams, we are often together having a laugh, being intimate or in a generally positive romantic relationship. In some of the dreams, I have also been slightly older than I am now. The dreams are always positive, I often wake up feeling elated but somewhat confused as they always seem to feature this same person! Nothing bad has ever happened in my dreams, some of them have felt very real in the past too. (I had one instance nearer to the time when this first started, we interacted on Twitter, of all the places!) I also think it's strange how I am dreaming constantly about this person even though we've never met!

Does anyone have any idea what the meaning behind all of this could be? I'm quite confused and can't come to a reasonable enough decision from the research I've been doing into this!

(My research tells me that someday our paths will cross and a relationship could be possible, or that even though I do not admit it I am passively in love with this person, which i think is strange...)

Often what you think is good, is actually quite the opposite. Lucid dreaming is a very hard school. However, the modification of your behavior is not to be found anywhere else than between you and your teacher. Not one of us is that bright yet.

Its sounds to me like your dreams are telling you your distant future. Your subconscious knows you like this person and so it gives you that person in your dreams. I've had the same experience about a girl that lived all the way across the country, eventually we met on a dating website and I made the bold decision of moving all the way to her side of the continent to be with her. So you can look at this from two different views. 1. You can just live life and hope that someday your paths will meet, (cause they very well could) or 2. keep talking to then on twitter and maybe eventually something will happen....only if you let it. dreams can be very truthful and also very cruel. and if it doesn't work out in reality, lucid dream and have a relationship in your dream world. couldn't hurt right? The coincidental thing is, because of the degree course I am studying (Film & Theatre) I have the option to take a year out to study in America with a production company as a performer or in another position...So there may be hope for me yet! (Or just extreme wishful thinking! I should have mentioned this when I first posted haha) and I'm also planning to move to America after my studies...And no, it couldn't hurt to lucid dream at all if things don't work out Could the fact that this has been occurring for over four weeks make the fact that my dreams could be telling me my distant future more understandable? Strange...

Your desire to be flattered will be a useful tool in modifying your behavior. Do you not see that it is your job as mind to forge your own future, and when you see things that will come, it is not because you willed it? Do you not see, in this manner, you worship your own demise?

You have no idea how hard it is to learn to be, and the battle is against you, yourself. But then, even your desire to be a public figure speaks a great deal for your need for flattery.

The ability to see things to come, is not an ability at all. You are simply being told. It is up to you to figure out the good and the bad of such a situation. flattrer yourself as many befor you have. But take a look at the historical results. There is a reason for this madness.

The things we desire the most are used like a carrot dangled in front of an ass. And we will chase that carrot until the day comes we decide to learn to grow our own carrots. You have no idea how hard such a lesson is.

I'm sorry, but I'm not flattering myself in any way (Being brutally honest), I've wanted to be an actress since I was about seven years old! The fact that this specific person has suddenly come into my dreams and has been reoccurring still remains a mystery though, as there are plenty of people I admire. So why aren't they in my dreams too?

I have told you the simple truth of the situation. The rest is up to you.

Every choice in our life we must examine. You chose a life of appearance over a life of reality. That mistake you said you made at age 7. And now, you wish to continue down that road. All I can do is wish you well.

I would be a total ass if I let you go through what I did without trying to get you to consider the consequences of your choices. The good thing is, is that you have been questioning it. That is a very good thing.

I'm sorry Phil, but your responses are just a little too much. Try to sim it down a bit and perhaps she would understand a little better. not to be blunt or anything, I told see your side and where your coming from. we need to talk more, I like your view of things.

I think she understands just fine. I don't believe that she is either stupid or lacks courage for self examination.

However, the distinction between appearance and reality is something hard for anyone. We errect appearances in our mind, ideals, which, as a matter of fact, have little to do with reality. Maturing is the process of replacing appearances little by little, but they can be so strong sometimes we cannot let them go. An exagerated example, take Christ--think of all the appearances in the mind of man, yet I wager not one could speak to him face to face and recognize thim.

It is not possible to love someone you do not know. Desire is instigated by need--it is not love.

Love is all the things two people do together to maintain and promote their life, and certainly, if they have no clear idea of what they are and what they are for, they certainly can never love anyone. Love is the most important concept in life to master, therefore no matter how much it hurts, we get over brutal honesty eventually.

Sometimes we simply are dreaming about a certain person, because they symbolize something to us that we are being called to pay attention to. What does this person symbolize to you?
