Sometimes if I leave the room it's lighter in another one. It didn't work this morning though-I tried to go through my mirror and everything was dark and I got stuck in the mirror! Then either woke-up or had a FA. I can't help expecting it to be dark in my dream now-even when it's bright in my room in the morning, and of course it then is dark. It's very annoying! I might try and find a torch and see if that works, light switches don't work for me, I don't know if a torch would. That's if I can find one in the pitch black!

Last time I used a lightswitch, it turned everything black, but when I turned it on again, everything was blurry and I woke up. Apparently it takes a lot of brain power to change the light levels.

      That made me lol.
I can just imagine some guy, standing in complete darkness, screaming
"IINNCCRREEAASSEE BBRRIIGGHHTTNNEESSSS!" at the top of his voice.

I too have found myself in the dark upon becoming lucid. To fix this what I do is: imagine that I am holding a dial, then turn the dial with my hand to raise/lower the sun or the lights in the room I am in. I have also tried using telekinesis to lift the sun up to a higher spot, which worked okay, but using a dial gives you much more control. Good luck!

Yeah changing light levels is indeed challenging. For me at least. This morning I had a random WILD. After SP passed I opened my eyes and was still in my bed, and it was still night time. So I got out of bed, and looked at a door and imagined both a beach, and sunny weather to appear on the other side. I open the door, and I see the beach but it is still night. Then I try to snap my fingers to instantly make the scenery daytime. But it only makes the sky blue, but doesn't even affect the light lol . It was really weird. Then when I tried to correct the light, as soon as I snapped my fingers I wake up back in my bed.

Funny thing... I remember once stabilizing a dream out on my balcony(training ground)
And the sky seemed to be dark...
"I don't want it to be dark,I'm about to fly and I need some light" I thought...
All I did was look at the sky and shouted out "BLUE!!" and the sky turned blue...
After some time,it turned dark again...and so,I yelled again "BLUE" and it turned blue...
Same thing when I was flying,I was getting quite slow so I shouted out "SPEED" and I flew much faster...
What I'm trying to say is verbal commands are really powerful...Believe and understand them and they'll work...
Sometimes you'll shout things you didn't prepare for...
      Hope that helps man...

The idea is to remain in a constant state of departure while always arriving..

I have this problem often with light and wanting to turn them on or it up. Lately I have taken to just ask out loud for more light like this 'more light please' and the dream with get a few more light levels brighter.

In a micro-lucid the other morning I deiced to ask a DC for a flash light. Naturally the flash light didn't work, but when I did turn it on I got a few more light levels brighter. I spent the last few minutes of the lucid yelling at the flash light for not turning on lol.

Anyways my point is just try asking for more light in the dream and expect it to happen.

      Take Care,
      D.G.

I think I posted here before but I'm too lazy to check... I command the dream to become brighter (it usually works, even if it just gets a bit brighter each time I say it), or I just teleport to a place that I expect to be light.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.
