Thread: can you meet new people in your dreams?

Sure it's possible to meet Bob Marley. I've encountered whole load of famous people in my dreams despite never meeting them in person. I'd say nothing is impossible in dreams.

thats awesome! but would he actually 'be' bob marley? would i be meeting him and his true character?

What would also be fascinating is meeting someone that doesnt exist. Someone you made up with distinct looks and personality traits.

I have met quite a few people from my dreams. My current employer is someone who I met in my dreams long before I ever met her in real life. I have also met others some of which are physically focused and other not.

My favorite was a meeting with the Dalai Lama. It was brief but very cool!

It could be a dream character, or it could actually be him. Both possiblities exist.

Dreams can be very original.They can and do come up with new DCs whenever "they feel like it". A DC can also be your idea of what a real life person is like, even if you don't know him or her.

I feel obliged to add that the second possibility only exists because there's a possibility that modern science is seriously wrong about the supernatural.

This depends on what you believe. If you believe in shared dreams then there is every possibility that it would be him and his true personality. However if you believe as I believe that dreams are just dreams, then you wouldn't actually be meeting him but your mind's creation of him, which could also be very realistic depending on what you already know about him and how creative your imagination is.

Nothing is impossible in dreams.

Yes it is The majority of people in my LDs are distinct individuals I've never actually met. I've never tried summoning a specific person, oddly enough.

of course you could. but like others have said, it could just be how you perceive him. Unless you believe in Shared Dreams, in which case there is a possibility that he could the the real one. Although he is dead, so it also depends on your view on the afterlife.

I've seen random people in my dreams. I've never seen them in my waking life(I think) but I remember being in a hairsaloon and looking at a native american looking guy's face. I was lucid and thought it was cool that my mind could create a whole new face and body.
