I'm curious if anyone has had a similar problem as mine and how they dealt with it. I'll explain:

One thing I've noticed with my lucid dreams is that my bedroom is almost always the setting in which I begin within the dream. I lie down for a nap or something and sleep paralysis sets in. Next I pass through the hypnagogia stuff and enter into the lucid dream state. Then I get out of bed in the dream realm and I'm standing in a dream version of my bedroom.

The problem for me is that the setting is rarely different and can be difficult to change. Usually I go outside into the street or into the backyard or something, which is still a lot of fun in the dream realm, but it takes time to leave my room and go there. I have to walk down the hall, open doors, and navigate through the house to get there. If I try to go somewhere further away I will sometimes wake up before I get there which is annoying. It feels like I'm in a rush when this happens. Attempts to intentionally manifest a new setting usually fail and I'll get stuck somewhere or start falling through the floor or something and wake up.

I've had some exceptions. I hardly ever have dream-initiated lucid dreams, but the few I've had were set elsewhere. I'm better at inducing wake-initiated lucid dreams though and I enjoy them more because my WILDs are more vibrant and give me a greater feeling of ecstasy than my DILDs. It would be nice to add the same variety to my WILDs that I have in my DILDs. How can I be somewhere else when the dream begins?
