Thread: What is a reality check?

Before running across this site I only knew of Lucid dreams, but what is a reality check, and how can I do one?

Well a Reality Check is something that you do to find out if you are dreaming. Two popular RCs would be putting a finger through your palm and breathing through your closed nose.

While this will likely not be possible in waking world it will work most of the time in dreaming world.

Oh I see, well most of the time I just realize I'm dreaming then instead of watching the dream I actually become part of it and are these methods to find out if your dreaming while you are lucid dreaming?

Usually you get lucid through this methods, but I would say just do them if you think you are dreaming and aren't sure. If your finger goes through your palm then thats making you dreaming pretty sure I guess ^^

Ohk thanks =D but when I dream, its like I'm watching a screen and its like I'm watching a movie and then when I realize I'm dreaming I become part of it and can actually control myself, so I dont think I'll be able to go lucid that way o.O

I think you won't need to do them since you get lucid on your own
