is there a good reason for it? y dont i just close my eyes and wish for it to happen? (going to try it tonight..) |

Well From what I read in Exploring The World Of Lucid Dreaming. Stephen Laberge discovered that spinning helped him to stay in the dream. So that's the main reason for it. But there was a side effect. Sometimes spinning caused the dream scene to change. So sometimes people try changing scenes that way. |

Problem with closing your eyes is that it cuts off stimuli, leading to a high percent chance of waking up or going into a false awakening. |

It is possible to close your eyes and change scenes by visualizing a new one. |

Never tried spinning, which may be why I don't see the point. If I want to change scenes, I just change scenes, but I guess I'll have to try spinning sometime for the sake of science! |

If I feel a dream begining to fade I find that spinning will pull me back into it. |

I tried spinning the other night and it woke me up! |

No, nothing special about it. I don't know, occasionally I will try something with the dream body and the physical body will respond and that will usually wake me up. Any chance that this is what happened with you? Maybe your dream spin caused your physical body to jerk? |
