I am just interested, for those who have a high degree of control over your dreams are you able to actually remove yourself from the dream. If so what do you do to do it? I usually think about paradoxes, I think they are confusing to my brain and it sort of ends the dream. To wake up I usually say "It's raining but I don't believe it is." What do you do? |

Lost count of how many lucid dreams I've had

You may not feel it and it may not seem like you can control your real body, but you can, it's like you have two set of eyes, just open your real eyes. Although sometimes you may wake up in sleep paralysis, specially now that you've read about it. |

- Are you an idiot?
- No sir, I'm a dreamer.
I just concentrate on waking up. If that doesn't work, I try to reestablish the connection between my brain and my body; I concentrate on sensations that my body is actually experiencing. Then I try to move. |

I just close my eyes. |

So many of our problems persist because we see them in only one way and keep beating our head against the same wall
Uh? I was talking about sex, it's possible to have sex in a dream and not wake up. |

I dunno how i wake up. it just happens sometimes when i have a nightmare. i can only describe it as closing my eyes and concentrating on waking up. this takes about one dream second. after that you can "feel" that your out of the dream and then you simply open your eyes. |

Ah. I thought your reply was aimed at the quote, didn't make much sense. |

Dreams are made of self-generated input. If you shut your eyes (as visual input is more than 80% of our experiences as humans), you will either be ejected from the dream, or put into a new scene (in which case you can repeat the exercise until out of the dream). |

If i am ever in a real problem-one time i accidently got in life-threatining(in the dream) trouble- i know i'm dreaming for a split second but i wake up. i usually find out my eyes are actually closed, and open them. BIG problem when your head is smashed up against the bed. |

My Dream Journal
Closing my eyes ends a dream but doesn't wake me up. I just keep sleeping until another dream or something else wakes me up. It's actually the main thing I used to combat insomnia. I'd fall asleep or go unconscious in my dream so I'd stay asleep longer and have another dream otherwise I'd wake up constantly and never get enough sleep. Instead I think it's time to wake up and sometimes about something I have to do the next day to give it some urgency. Occasionally leads to lots of false awakenings though where I dream myself doing that task instead of waking up to actually do it. |

ive never tried to wake up from and LD truthfully. when im done i just stop thinking about it and it slips into a normal dream and i wake up in the morning |

Staying awake to chase a dream...
If I blink, I usually wake up. Once I close my eyes, it feels like I'm slowing falling back into my real body. I end up in sleep paralysis for a few seconds and then I'm up. |

I close my eyes and try to roll them upwards. Its only failed to wake me up once. |

When I tried to wake up from a dream one time, I stood where I was and kinda fell over onto the ground. Actually, I've notice that when I fall in dreams, lucid or not, I fall back into my real body in slow-motion. It's a cool experience. |

This guy,, and this guy,
, are mine. BACK OFF!
I just do. Although once I wasn't able to no matter what I tried. I was trapped in the dream with a female who was hellbent on touching me. I didn't mind too much. |
