Waking up
I need to know how to wake myself up, last night i had two false awakenings and i know you are supposed to take advantage of your LDs but i started getting anxious when i kept having FAs and i couldn't actually wake myself up. I entered my bathroom and even slapped myself a couple of times, i started to get the feeling that i would be stuck in my dream. Then a older man appeared out of nothing and he bent down (is this my dreamguide?) and i asked him how i could wake myself up, and i dont remember what he said, i remember it being funny though, and eventually i woke up.
what are the best ways to wake yourself up?

Hey Gaby. :)
My favourite way to wake myself up is to generate excitement and/or axiety. Do this by shaking all your body parts so fast you get excited. Happens with me 100% of the time of my scary Lucid Dreams. :)
The other way I know, is to close your eyes really hard. This may not work 100% of the time but it's quite successful.
Hope I've helped mate! :goodjob2:

I concentrate hard on opening my eyes.. Its like they are already open in your dream.. you have to focus on opening them super wide until your real ones open :] its a weird feeling tbh. Always works for me

when i was young i had a lot of nightmare LDs and whenever it got too bad i used to keep blinking rapidly which would wake me up in a matter of seconds everytime..
Hope that helps

Yeah, blinking technique has been fool-proof for me.

I just open my eyes...I happen to have a weird sleepwalking disorder. So I don't have advice to tell you, I feel my body when I'm asleep, though I'm unable to move it...however my neck and my eyes seem to be on a different grid than the rest of my body while I sleep hehe.
