My first fully aware Lucid Dream, great or

Hey everyone, last night (this morning actually) I had my first long lucid dream.

It was very vivid and I did many things in it such as flying and teleporting. I also realized that when I was put up against a problem, I just thought "This is a dream, I don't need to bother about my granddad.". I'm not done translating the whole dream journal to English yet but when I'm done I'll post it.

On to the question: But I had one problem, i never reached any real speed while flying, I tried but nothing happened, I was still traveling at the same speed. How would I speed it up? Is it a common difficulty for people to fly quickly in the beginning of their lucid dreaming journey?

Flying is all a matter of perception. For a beginner, it needn't be hard unless you lack self-confidence, or are tainted with doubt.

Of course, perhaps it's merely the logic of your mind. When you think about motion, and acceleration, you think of a force needed to increase the acceleration. If simply wishing to go faster doesn't work, try clicking your feet together to activate ROCKET SHOE PROPULSION SYSTEMS. =D

Another schemata that may affect your flight is your experience with acceleration. When you're in a car, you usually focus on staying the same speed. If you use public transport, you don't expect the driver to suddenly speed up, no matter if you're late for work! Unfortunately, unless you're a race-car driver it's hard to picture that acceleration. You can, however, do something just as effective, and imagine yourself accelerating. It works.

      Good luck!

Thanks Abra! I'll make sure to do all I can to focus so that I can fly with ease!
