Lighting problems.

Hey, first of all, how is everyone? Boy I love this community. Filled with so many friendly people who help me so much. I hope you're making progress, I know I am. Slowly, but surely.

Anyway, I wanted to ask about lighting. Last night I had several lucid dreams and in all of them the lighting was rather dim. Anybody have any good tips for increasing lighting or overall clarity of vision? Any help at all would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys and as Mr. T would say, "Keep dreamin' fools!"

To increase clarity, just try to engage as many of your senses as possible. Feel things, taste things, smell things, use vigorous movement, listen intently. Of course you'll have to be lucid to purposely do that.

Say "Lights on fool!" snap your fingers and expect it to happen.

You might try to increase your lighting/vividness by confidently stating aloud "increase lucidity" or "clarity now" . Remember that there is no "try" when you're lucid.. only "do". You must KNOW that there is nothing you can't have nor perform while in your dream.

I don't think you can change lighting conditions in LD's (at least indoors).

For example today I had a lucid dream where I was in a rather dark basement only lit by moonlight, so I thought, hey I'll try the lights,and the lighting remained the same. The only thing I had control over light wise was my ability to see in the dark.

I also remember watching in a movie that stated you can't change light levels in lucid dreams.

It's possible to change lighting in lucid dreams if you go about it in an unusual manner if the other methods don't work.

This is untrue.. I've changed the light levels in my lucid dreams (both while indoors and outdoors).

I can only change the light levels by using magic. Switches will never work.

Try imagining yourself with a bright ball of light in your hand and then releasing it into the sky/room.

Awwwwwwwwwwwww!

I will definitely try to be confident about it being clear and light. One interesting thing though is in my most recent lucid dream I tried to experience as many senses as I could so I could make the dream more vivid, mainly touch; to say the least I was thoroughly impressed.
