My favorite way to teleport is to get one of those black holes like they have in cartoons and jump into it :D

i like dematerializing everything in the environment and then slowly rematerializing everything in a place i want to be.
Dragon ball Z style. :)
I "create" a portal, like the frames of a a painting and then I jump inside. :D
Either dream-spinning, simple teleportation (I just teleport) or portals.
I've only used portals one, and I find them very hard to use. Need more control.
lol Why not create a giant soap bubble and inside, see where you want to go and just jump in. Nver tried it but definetly will on my next LD :)
I designate a nearby door as my portal.
Walking through a door <- boring.
I spin, close my eyes and think where I want to be, and I'm there.
The only time I ever teleported was when I used a portal, but I didn't decide the location, it decided for me. I want to try to use a magic wand in my next LD, though.
Doors are good for me, but last LD I had to go back and forth through an open doorway (every time I did, I sensed/saw a spark in the "inner structure"), and turn around to see if it worked, but when it finally worked I accedentally walked into a video game and there was a japanese fighter with an afro that was angry because I wanted to have sex in his domain. Long story short: I got sent to my grandma's house.
yeah, dream logic is always funny, but it really frustrated me! Even though I was in my grandma's house, I still wanted to summon some girl... But dream logic comes in again and since if I tried to use the TV, I would recreate "the ring," I was forced to draw a portal on a piece of paper. As soon as I got done with my carefully drawn spiral, I WOKE UP!!! :bang:
I've not mastered any solid LD skills yet (like willful teleportation), but the times that I do become lucid I usually just shoot up into the sky when I am ready for a change. That exhilarating feeling of gaining altitude so quickly never gets old for me!
But I am looking forward to the time I can walk through doors with full lucidity and enter other places...although I think it would be cool to have a PDA-type device in which I can enter the name of the place I want to visit, press "Send" and then transport there.
Only teleported once, but it was definately alot of fun. It included time incubation, but basically, I'd walk into a door (it has to be wooden), and say where I'm going to go, and how long I'd dream for. I'd enter the doorway, get squeezed into a plastic envelope, which would send itself to my destination and deposit me there. Gonna try to Apparate next time.

I am going to try generating a ball of blue energy whilst looking at my hand, and then throwing it down at the ground.
When it hits, the ball of energy turns into a bright whirlpool, and I jump into it to take me to the place I want to go.
This technique forces me to focus on my dream hands (to stabilize), concentrate on an action (throwing it to the floor), and then provides that falling feeling as I jump into the unknown...(or hopefully, the known as it will take me to somewhere that I want to go).
Now, to make this work somehow...
:)
Ok if anyone has played the game shadowrun for xbox 360, that is how i like to teleport because it's pretty easy. I just make it go for longer distances.
(Most of you won't know what i'm talking about)
This is a really random first post, I know. But what I want to try when I get an LD that I can control well is sort of draw a portal in the air with my finger. Sounds stupid, I know, olol. 8)
Yeah, I always thought a 'subtle knife' as in Phillip Pullman's book would be a great way to change scenes.
That's a cool idea, Vortex, however I'd feel guilty about creating a spectre each time! D:
I'm horrible at teleportation, transportation, anythingatation. I fly, but the scenery only changes to fields, forest, or residential areas. I want to go to a beach, a skyscraper city at night, another world, a city in the sky... Cool places. But my doors end up opening in closets, my spinning transports me to grocery stores, and my portals are shrink before I can enter.
Find a television, turn it on, change the channel while imagining the place I want to be. The picture of the place appears. I jump into the TV and I'm there.
Im partial to using hand motions, so personally, slamming my hand against the ground, then having a bunch of "signs" appear in the shape of a circle, assemble a bright light, then teleport.
Oh I've played that game and know what you are talking about (I'm the only person I know who actually liked that game).
But yeah that would be cool, I sometimes try and run through walls while dreaming, and most of the time my teleportation involves just floating up through a ceiling, in a similar fashion to Shadowrun.
hmm...i hate to relate another strategy to video games but... lol.
Really though i just image opening up a menu, then hit save/load etc.
like in the show "blues clues", i look at a picture or tv screen then say, "blue skadoo, we can too!"... you had to of seen the show to understand.
My hand starts glowing blue and I draw a circle, which then (hopefully) becomes a portal. Doesn't always work for me, but it's my favourite way.
I do it Myst style.
Open up a book and touch a picture. Comes with sound effects.
my favorite way, and I have tried a few, I have done the tv one and the making a portal one, but my favorite way is I just let my eyes go out of focus and think about the place I want to go and when I refocus my eyes, im there
i have also tried the fly up into the air and when I look back down at the ground im at the place I want to be, but that one I dont like so much, its kinda dull for some reason
paint a picture of where you want to go and then "fall" into it
Whenever I want to teleport I just think 'teleport' . Another way is to find an item that I think of belonging to the place I want to teleport to, then I touch the item and I'm teleported there.
hm...
-I would just dissapear all of a sudden and reappear where I want to be.
-Or summon up a portal just by think(in a second), walk through it, and directly walk out where I want to be.
Those I like most certainly. :D
i usually start flying, then in the blink of an eye *literally* i am there
My brother just thought of an excellent idea.
Ever seen that advert for the car (forget what car it is) where the guy has a door handle, and opens invisible doors to different locations? That would be a cool way of teleporting. just remember when you become lucid, to carry around a magic door handle!!!
It is quite unglamorous for me. The scenery changes instantly with no special effects. It is, however, extremely quick.
Just thought of another one.
I don't know if many of the members at DV play any of the half-life games and those related, but a new game comes out very soon (10th) called portal.
The idea is you have a gun that creates a blue gateway where-ever you left click and an orange gateway where-ever you rightclick. Using these two portals you enter the blue and come out of the orange! (and vise-versa) So in essence you could use this in your LD's.
What seems even more amazing though is it sounds to me as if it adds a new dimension to dreaming, where in you can now have a paradox of rooms in say for instance a mud hut!!! (that is of course if you haven't done so already. I'm just creating ideas.)
...... Enjoy?
I tried walking through a mirror once, but it didn't work. It seems I have quite a ways to go in the art of teleportation.

Lucid Dreams: 2
1) Creating portals with my mind and then going into them.
2) Kind of like the Keymaker in the matrix opena door to a room full of doors and pick one.
3) DBZ style ^_^
Ack. I haven't have a true lucid dream in a long time. I mean I'll be aware of my environment and be aware that I am dreaming, but I'll have no control of the world around me.
That's not to say I can't TRY teleporting, the only problem is that I'll wind up screwing it over by waking up, sadly.
That being said, I'm going to see if I can't Lucid tonight, and if I can (Which I'm not sure if I will be able to) I'll try out the walking thing, or driving, whichever is more convenient. Because I don't want to screw it up, for sure.
I enjoy getting to my destination almost as much as being there :)
I always reach up to my neck and there's a necklace there. It's an intricate silver key on a pure white chain. I take it off and it starts to glow. i let go of it, and it hovers in the air. I say a word (which i'm not going to tell you, because it's embarrassing >_> ) and the key flashes forward with a blinding white light, and stops abruptly stops a few yards away. Light seeps out of the key, slowly taking the shape of an arched doorway. The light dies away, leaving a tall double-door of some whiteish wood, with silver tracery (it's purty :P). I walk up to the door, say "Reveal (destination)!" and push the doors open. Once i'm through i turn around and close the door. there's a keyhole on the left door, and my key necklace is in it, so i take it off and put it around my neck. Once i forgot to do that, and i couldn't use my door in my next lucid. :( I couldn't teleport at all, actually. The best i could do was put on magic pants that made me run really fast XD
Luckily, my key came back in my next lucid.
>_> this post makes the process seem really long, but it really takes about 30 seconds.
...Everybody should do it my way. Because i think everything should be done my way. :D
I create portals by spinning my hand in a circular motion to create one big blue swirling portal. Then I just step in. I also like mirrors, except I've gotten into some sticky situations using them. I really like foolish's necklace idea; very cool, maybe I'll try that next lucid. also, domo-kun! :D
Actually, not so much. I was bored in school one day so i started doodling in my notebook, and i ended up drawing a key and a door, so i daydreamed about it, and i thought "heeey...i could use this to move around in dreams!" and the next time i had a lucid i instinctively reached to my neck, expecting the key, and it was there.
I think the reason i couldn't use it the one time is because i got it in my head that it was still in the door, and i couldn't get to the door without the key, and i had never tried any other kind of teleportation, so i didn't know how. I suppose i could keep a spare under a doormat :P
Lunalight: you should definitely try it! you should sketch up a key and a door first, though. just to give your mind a hold on it. And yes! domo-kun!:D
I usually just ''will'' it. *Hmm.. I want to go he..*SNAP*re* Hey, i'm there.
That, or something with making vortex / portal appear from which I move to my destination.
