      Question My poor, poor head!

I need help learning to fly/walk through walls! I tried in my LD last night, and I ended up banging my head dozens of times (which really HURT, by the way!) Is there any technique that can help with this?

It's all about determination, and believing it will work. Of course, once you've started having a little trouble, it's difficult to start believing.

What I've done that has worked for me sometimes is this. I attempt to do something, but it doesn't seem to work. Instead of trying again or giving up, I tell myself that it DID work, and insist on carrying forward the dream as if I had succeeded. It reinforces the notion that you are in control.

I did this recently with conjuring a person I was looking for. When I initially failed, I just told myself that she really was there, and eventually I started to see her there.

      A few suggestions;

Try a mirror first - it seems easier for me to sink into a reflection than into a solid.

Try placing your hands on a solid object like a wall and then just pressing in rather than just trying to walk through. Push through. You'll feel it give way and then it will get real interesting!

As far as flying, try imagining that you are swimming at first. Take a little jump and then work the "air" around you. Once you get up there, you'll find it much easier to gain control and style.

      Good luck!

Ouch! It's all about believing but yah, sometimes other people's ways will help out more. I've always imagined that I was a ghost or that the walls were thin enough to let me go through, it's always worked for me.

      Thanks for the info everyone!

LOL I didn't mean I didn't know how to fly, I mean I couldn't fly through the wall. I would get up into the air fly straight at the wall and then BANG! I'd hit my head. I was really shocked the first time it happened, because I really had believed that I could do it.

      I would:

      1) Tell myself that I am not solid.
      2) Use a device to help like an amulet or ring with powers.

Or you could summon up some ghost spray or something [for those good with object summons] and put that on and go through the wall. I imagine it'd smell like glue but taste like dusty air...

It mostly boils down to willpower and expecting it to work. Once you do it the first time, it will likely be easier. Try pj's method of just pushing through slowly first.

If that doesn't work, try imagining it as something other than a solid. Perhaps a liquid that happens to look like a wall, and walk through like it's water? That might be a tiny bit too complicated, but I guess it could work.

If all else fails, use your telekinesis to blast a hole in the wall. If brute force isn't working, you aren't using enough.

Haha! That's the first thing I thought of, blowing it up! But I don't think it'd be as cool as slipping through a wall...

Walking through walls is about the easiest thing for me to do. I don't think about it AT ALL. I just keep walking. Brick...plaster...glass.....cardboard... every wall is unique! :p

When you think too much about something that gives you trouble you begin to doubt yourself; if you think about how much it hurts to walk into a wall then that's what will happen.
Start with a wall made of jell-o. The worst that could happen is you'd get all jiggly.
