Thread: Finger through your palm.

I've acomplished it in my last LD.
If someone else ever done it, can you send me a private message, describing what you felt?
I'm really interested in comparing sensations...

i do that just about every time i have a lucid dream. it feels weird, like i can feel my bones in my hand with my finger. the other night, i decided to stick my hand through my head, and i ended up taking out a piece of my brain...needless to say, that freaked me out a lot.

Wow!! You were the one who told me about it. It's weird, it doesn't feel like anything. I can't really push it through, but it "stertches" my skin and it looks like a vortex.

You know, i've been trying this finger through palm thing for over a month in the waking world as much as i can remember...it's not workin in my dreams...

Why I asked this question in first place: It felt like a forcefield for me. Like I was pushing my finger through energy. It felt absolutely amazing, slight resistance, and I felt a buzz throughout my body.


I know, I've never experienced forcefield in my life , but that's how it felt...

I was trying to push it through before in my dream, it failed though, so my concious decided I wasn't dreaming...

It was very weird experience. It did happen to me a few months ago. It is weird so many people have had the same dream. My finger though my palm didn't feel like it had a bone in it. It was more like a blown up sterile rubber glove blown up like a balloon with an extra finger in the palm. Only the extra finger was on my palm.

Tried it with a mirror, and it felt pretty much like you were describing it, Ev.

Pretty intense feeling, woke me up...

The finger through the palm is my most reliable RC and it didn't work last night...

I just realized you guys meant the palms of your hands. For months I have been thinking you were talking about a palm pilot...thus the can't materialize object comment....

What i meant is you know when you blow up one of those rubber hand gloves doctors wear? Well the finger in my palm was like that.

i have done it once but i don't remember anything special about it. It just felt like my finger going through my hand but it did take very little effort to push it through.

I remeber it kind of felt like rubber. My finger didn't go through my hand, but it kind of pushed in father than it should of.

I can never remember any tasks that require doing when I lucid dream. I had a lucid dream last last night, but only a short one. I'm still on a measly 7. This is the first one in a month. The goal of lucid dreaming at will has been steadily climbing my lifetime to do list though, and is currently at number 2. It comes so easily for some people, and I cant help feeling a wee bit disheartened by it all.

I know it takes effort and commitment and all, and the results aren't garanteed, but it is worth the effort once you actually get some results. I would recommend that you try working on elongating your lucid time before you try out any of the stuff in your list, if you can remember it. It will help you a lot in the long run.

Have you tried to wake up after 6 hours of sleep, you know for you large REM periods? Personally I have found this really helpfull....

I try it as a reality check and it worked for me once so far.
I haven't done it in any dream again so far...

just a few nights ago, i tried it as a RC too. it worked.

my RC is just putting my finger through the wall

Ive used the finger thru palm too. Thats my normal RC whenever i remember to do it lol. Like u said Ev it felt kinda like energy to me, not like it hurt or anything just like I was pushing my fingers thru my hand and thats what happened.. if u know what i mean .

I once put my finger through the wall, it felt kind of like you described it. I remembered the feeling for a long time, but it's been quite awhile since it happened, and I can't remember as well. The best I can think to describe it is like a little buzz or shock.

I'm trying to use finger through palm as my RC, since your palm is generally more convenient than a wall.

never doen the whole firnger through the hand thing but whenever I pass through objects its like i fuzz out, and its sorta numb but I would call it tingly. My head also feels sorta wierd to....I have to try and have some LD's again, ive been on a break, due to a lack of interest

I find a good way if you wish to pass your fingers or hands through objects is to imagine the surface as being in a liquid state, the feeling I get when I pass through glass and walls is like a cold sensation or my hand not being a part of me.
