I'm thinking the key to transforming lies in the ability to control one's perception of what they are. |

It's somewhere where all the shapeshifters here can come to group/place/etc and like...do stuff. We could share tips/tricks or something I guess, or share something useful maybe. idk. Let's just start with this thread. |

This one time I thought I was a sticker. IDK if that counts or not... |
|
Speaking of transforming into a sticker... what is the weirdest things you people have transformed into? For me it was being turned into a washing machine by a wizard I ran into... evil bastard. Still doesn't beat changing into a sticker though! |

I dream many dreams every night, but I remember just a few. I wonder what adventures I've had that are now forgotten?
weirdest thing...probably a humantaur. don't have much to say about it. |

My weirdest transformation is becoming a tree, was very interesting though. |

It was a long time ago now, so I can't remember all the details, but I do recall that I felt restricted: my movements were limited to opening and closing the hatch (which for some reason felt just like moving my right arm) and rock from side to side. It didn't feel weird though, it just felt... unusual. I didn't explore my new form too closely though; I was busy cursing that damn wizard who, after laughing at my plight for a while, strolled off while looking all smug. Damn him... |

I think the coolest/strangest transformation I'd ever had in a dream was becoming pollen on a flower. I know it doesn't sound very cool, but it was pretty damn awesome. |

I say that qualifies as shape shifting, and a pretty awesome one at that! Travelling around in a forest of flowers like that is something I have long wanted to do in a LD, lucky you. |

I still have this guide bookmarked: |

Has anyone tried using invisibility to make shapeshifting easier? Does it work? |

The best way that I've been able to intentionally transform is usually by teleporting. I'll change the scene and imagine myself in whatever form it is I want to be in so I don't have to watch the actual transformation take place. It works pretty well, but not all of the time. |

I'm halfway there, taking form but not appearance. Like, my body would be in the shape, but I wouldn't look like it. |
|
No, I didn't try this. But I think one of the experienced LDers on this forum mentioned something similar. |

This morning I attempted to link a transformation to a common object; in this case, webs. I predetermined a set of possible TFs to occur when I am in contact with at least one web. (I prefer it to be random out of the list) |

I was attempting the bonus task for the month of September last night, although failed, I will post it anyway. |
