Dude yea I really think so. I havent tried it your way but usually all I have to do is not pay attention to the time and my LDs get longer. its wierd, but awesome. Im gonna try your technique and see how it goes. |

A little while ago I remember I has this random ld where I didnt Want to wake up... So i said "clarity now", then yelled "lock me in this dream... I dont want to wake up for at least... 45 minutes, and sure enough that dream lasted easily 45 minutes... Or at least Thats what it seemed like... Is it really that simple? Has anyone else trieds something like this? |

Goals:
-Become Lucid in every dream every night
-Perfect the time dilation watch
-Continue to have a dream plan for most of my lucid dreams
There are other threads singing the high song of verbal commands - congratulation - didn't read about this kind of a success with it up to now! |

Hmmm, I am with Sageous. I had to learn mental discipline and the ability to focus on minute detail or any one of a few methods that take practice. I need to focus on something and truly remind myself I am in a dream every few minutes. I wish I could tell everyone easy ways to reach advanced ends (LDs longer than sleep cycles), but like so many things, the answer is usually work on it for years. |

I used this again and it worked for the most part... for me it's not so much staying in the ld as it is getting into the dream... |

Taking a moment to analyze my hands (while willing the dream to stabilize) usually works to keep me grounded in the dream for longer periods of time, even after it feels like it had started to slip away. Repeating (saying or singing) a reminder to myself that "I am dreaming. I am dreaming..." tends to help me keep my lucidity in situations that might normally make me lose that focus. |

haha, after a few months now that I know sort of how to get into a dream, actually doing things rather than just walking around is the big issue. Funny, I could almost swear that they do last pretty long, but whenever I go over it it all seems really brief... Its like you've been abducted and have no clue what went on... |
|
I've never tried verbal commands before, but I have tried feeling my dreams with my five senses, and it was quite a bit more vivid after doing that, didn't prolong it, though. |
