I'm having a hard time with flying and levitating as well. In my DILD workbook I was told it is nothing but a mental block, just knowing that alone has helped me. Maybe it will help you too. But other than that, I could use tips also |

So in my most recent lucid I ran into this problem when I tried to levitate I couldn't control how far up I was going or how far down I went, and also for some strange reason when I was levitating i went up waist first. |

To me it sounds like you are trying to hard? lol for me it is literally, the thought/intention of doing so does that. If I wish to levitate, I do so. If I wish to fly, I fly. It is more simple then you believe, there are no tricks. There is nothing to it, you just have to get yourself out of that limited mind! Don't try just do |

Levitating is curious for me, because, sometimes i wish to levitate and i can't get past a couple of meters. But there's some dreams that i wish to just walk but the "dream" forces me to levitate. And it's difficult to control myself. There i am in the dream, in a street, levitating like a baloon and i'm trying to grab something to go to the floor. And i have a hard time to go to the floor. |

reminds me of the first time I flew |

I've always been able to fly in dreams without much effort, but only recently have I taught myself how to levitate properly. For me, a lot of it came from watching how Marceline levitates in Adventure Time. My subconscious just seemed to latch on to her ability and allow it to manifest in my dreams. A lot of my lucid powers are based on the abilities of fictional characters, come to think of it. Maybe this could be beneficial to you as well? Study a character who is able to levitate until the power bleeds over into your dreams. Giving an ability some context in this way makes it a lot more passive and therefore much less of a struggle to perform. |

Thank you all for your advice, sadly I couldn't respond sooner due to my re-enrollment into school but I was able to become lucid ( |

I used to have problems flying in my dreams too, constantly losing control and falling in mid flight or undertaking a very sluggish/lopsided flight. However, with experience I was able to perfect my ability to fly, and now it comes effortlessly. I suggest that you think of it as being weightless, as it often feels to me like I am free of gravity. In the past I overcame flight difficulties by taking a deep breath or closing my eyes before attempting, then I found that it was a simple as willing myself to be lifted from the ground - like being carried away by a mild breeze. |
