A New Way to Fly

Just wanted to share with you all a really fun new way to fly. I watched Avatar The Last Airbender awhile ago... The movie was terrible hah, but i loved the concept of bending so i decided i would try it out in my dreams that night. Fire, earth, and water were all fun, but im definitely an airbender The others just don't come as easily to me. So heres the cool part Im lucid sitting in my front yard playing with the air, swirling it around making little tornadoes. Then i think that it would be a lot more fun to make a real tornado. I look up into the sky and start spinning my finger around to direct the air and spin myself a big tornado. There were clouds in the air, which made the visual effect really neat too. It eventually touched down right where i was sitting and immediately pulled me off the ground and suspended me a few feet in the air. i would then just will myself further up or down the center of the tornado to control my height, and will the tornado to move wherever i wanted, and it would take me with it. Gah it was awesome. The air rushing around me was really intense too, but felt very warm and pleasant. I have used this technique several times since i discovered it and its probably my favorite way to fly now. And i feel like such a badass

Yeah its a lot of fun. At the time it actually didnt seem strange at all, it felt very natural. I have a fear of heights and normally cannot fly higher than 30 feet or so before i start to fall, but flying like this also allows me to fly as high as i want, as i put my trust in the tornado to keep me from falling.

That sounds awesome! I'm a huge fan of Avatar the series too (as you can probably tell by my info at the side <<<< ) lol You should try making that air scooter thing Aang does. I've tried it a few times, and I'd use it to climb against walls. Well it's not really flying per se, but it was still cool. :p

I almost want to watch it so i can try all the things they do

Yeah I just had an LD and I was like I can do some bending like in the show avatar, but I only did the water and fire bending only ones that came to my mind, water bending was awesome, but I'll try air bending in my next LD!

I thought that we all decided that if we pretend the movie doesn't exist, than it never happened? The movie didn't even make sense, and I watched the TV show before it. :, @OP That is an awesome way to fly. Something that Nina does (I read somewhere) is fly laying on your back with your head tilted so you can see. It is really trippy. give it a shot when yar next in the air!

I've used wind to fly too. No tornado, just wind. I used my hands a lot to catch the wind and control my movement, much like Iron Man does. It's not elegant, but it is fun!

Hah i bet the artwork is awesome too. i was never much for anime when i was younger but now i love it just because of all the incredible illustration. I've used wind to fly too. I've tried flying like iron man does before but i just kind of imagine a propelling force coming from my hands, as opposed to thinking of it as wind. I bet they would feel a lot different.
