I'll describe my main DG, her name is Claire, she looks like this. (and you can also see from my avatar hehe)

She is super fun and she always seems like she knows what she's doing. And I am pretty sure that she really does always know what she's doing.
She's not too talkative but she's not shy whatsoever, if she has a goal in mind trust me it's going to get done no matter what.
She's kind and not a ruthless killer. lol
Yes! She does actually have pink hair! Although it seems in some dreams it's a little on the blonde side.
You can't have her! >: D HA!

I understand that a lot of people's dream guides are human... Mine is a dragon for some reason

I have found i have two DGs so far... and both of them i have only met once.
The first was a horse, with wood grain patterns all over its skin, but it felt kind of like reptile skin. That dream threw me for a loop, i dont really have any particular connection to horses.
The second DG of mine i found, was a woman who looks surprisingly similar to the one melanieb is trying to illustrate... Maybe i will try to help bring her to life =)

I've met two.

Auntie Fairy. She is a short old business woman with thick makeup on. Her business clothes were teal. She quit being my dream guide because she said she was pregnant.

New one, Jenna? I think her name is, I've only met her once so far. She's really pretty, I can't exactly remember her face, but I know she was wearing Lara Croft's clothes.

DG's have this permanent appearances?

My dream guide is male, he is good looking, in a business kind of way, and can do tricks by shape shifting before my eyes and tests my abilities in dreams.
We have a business only kind of connection, there is no emotions or closeness between us. A "don't mix business with pleasure" attitude.
^The reason why i can decipher between him and my dream guy, and because they both almost have a similar facial and hair similarities and also the reason he was training me before i can fully know how to notice a shape shifter and the person behind it (which is my dream guy).
I had to be trained before i could really face my dream guy, and how i noticed this is, now i am not getting much tricking dreams from my DG for a while, so i'm guessing i have passed the test and i am now facing my dream guy who has shape shifting abilities at the present time.
Usually my DG comes only when needed, other than that i am not bothered anymore after i learned my subject.

My DG looks similar to this and a few of his shape shifting looks, his original look is the 1st picture:

I've only seen her once. I didn't really meet her, but I became lucid (After a lucid dry spell of about a year) as soon as i saw her.

Just as lucidity hit me, I turned around and saw her. She was there smiling, but at the same time she wasn't-- it was like she was a ghost, and none of the other Dream Characters saw or acknowledged her. I didn't get to speak to her, but I've always had the feeling that was her. Never seen her since.

I name her Julia, because she looks VERY similar to Julia from tekken. Except she was wearing jeans instead of a short skirt like in this picture.

My dg is a man. A 40-50 yr old man, wearing white clothing, and drives a white car. just looks like an average guy lol, nothing special, maybe my subconscious is a boring white man.. lol

If it's what you mean for a DG, I think it's like a presence more than a DC. perhaps It's that voice in off which tells me things about the dream it self. I don't know if some time I will be able to see it, but I don't think it could have a constant shape anyway.

My dream guide is an old, leathery man with long hair. He is tall and thin, and has long hair, which is sometimes black and sometimes grey. He wears exotic clothing and seems to be a type of shaman. I have another recurring DC, which is a DG of sorts. She is a beautiful woman with long blonde hair. She always wears a flowing blue dress and usually appears to me in a field.

My dream guide is a cute blue haired girl. Most of the time, she just looks like a normal human, but sometimes, she can form into a water spirit. Her hair turns into different colors like blue, green and purple. She then has some awesome purple and blue clothes.

Water form is the best :3 Not sure what her name is yet, she's pretty new.

I'm very curious how everyone finds their dream guides? I've hardly had any contact with any DC's at all and I've had 15 lucids :S Do you just yell out "WHERES MY DREAM GUIDE!?!?!" and they'll show up or something?

Mine just appeared and held significance in the dream(s).

There are two types. Those that are projections of your own mind, and all others (real dream entities).
To create one from your own mind, you can use a mantra and picture them as you go to sleep.
For real entities, I have this advice: They are often irritated by cruel or evil behavior and will avoid violent dreamers. They are drawn to dreamers who try hard to develop control and skills. They will normally only respond if you call out to them and ask for help.


First DG about 20 years ago: Older strean woman, often in a toga. Very judgemental and rigid.
She had two companions: A young big body guard she ended up marrying about ten years ago. He was always trying to push me into violence. I think she put him up to it to teach me control.
Also she was with one of my current DGs: A calm peaceful man, who appears very sophisticated and mature. He never raises his voice, and was a human monk 40 some years ago. He is still teaching me. I stopped seeing the other two soon after they got married.

About 10 years ago: A very pretty woman (looks 40ish) with light amber eyes, and her two young daughters (young women). She has been the most helpful in a way. She often just wants to hang out, and I learn a lot about dream life with no pressure to train or drill. Sometimes we just have dinner and tells me things. Her and both her daughters will some time make out with me, as where the first DG would be pissed off if I even wanted to touch a DC. The daughters are slender twins with medium long dark hair. Only one of them seems to like me as a person. The other may or may not mkke out with me if she is bored, but is often ignoring me.

Last year the woman with the two daughters introduced me to a monk. He and his kind were often following me, and forcing me to train my skills and control, by collapsing the dream any time I tried to screw around. He was actually in the standard eastern monk robes. He said they screw with me like this, because I am supposed to be some reincarnated monk they know. He is just trying to keep me on a monk like path, but I would rather hang out with (and fool around with) the woman and her daughters.

Thanks for the response That helps alot, especially knowing its coming from someone with so much experience. The reason I want to meet a DG is for that very purpose, to teach me how to control my dreams and such. I'll try calling out for help in my next lucid I hope my DG is cool

I met my dream guide through several adventure typed dreams. In each of them, we had some sort of relationship, where I would either have to find her or I would get paired with her for something. In the newest dream, I told everyone that I had dated her before in the past .

Mine is a male, about my height, even thinner build, wearing a pink jumpsuit with pink spikes on the head and bendy at the knees.

I guess mine would be the "goblin" that shows up in my LDs. I've seen him several times, always in my front yard. He's short, maybe 4 ft tall and always wears a dark hood. He's helped me once or twice, but never speaks.

There is also a female who is with me a lot, even in non-lucids. Always doing what I am doing.

It's a guy roughly my age with longish brown hair who prefers to be called "Coach." I've only met him once and it was only because I summoned him.

Mine is a crayon stick figure. I've only met him once.
