Sounds strange to me. If you focus on how it should feel in detail, it would work, but so wii any body motion done that way. |

It works well because it uses some of your senses, and almost all of your body in the dream. |

Follow your dreams.

Spoiler for Goals:
In my LD a few days ago, I decided to give it a try. I started commando crawling all around, and I found it was waaay easier than in real life. I can't really explain it, but as I'm moving all parts of my body, I felt so much lighter. My dream ended short after that though |

I would say give it a try and see if it works for you. Personally it doesn't work for me because yes, I would be using more of my senses but if I do so this will lead me to wake up. I much rather fly or float as a way to move towards more lucidity. Too much awareness and using using all of my senses too much will lead me to break out of lucidity. |

I had used this technique in a lucid this morning. Stayed lucid for about 20 minutes, but I crawled like two times. |

Out of the 8 LDs I've hard, I've used this technique 3-4 times with massive success. It's great because it separates your dream body from your waking body because most people do not sleep on their stomach. |
