Question Help me with SuperPowers Please.

Okay, So I am getting Pretty good at lucid dreaming by now. I've been working at it for about four-five months, and tallied 13 decent Lucid dreams.

Now, ever since my seventh Lucid, I have had a growing Collection of "Spells" either made up by myself or given to me by my dream guide. And when I try to use them, I either get a next to nothing failure (It just kinda fizzles), or complete failure, and nothing happens. The only ones that do work are the ones that involve stabilizing the dream, and as useful as that is, by now, I was hoping I could do a lot more cool stuff.

I really have two things I try to tell myself to get the spells to work. First off, I remind myself that It's a dream, and anything Is possible, and that I am in control. And second, I try to Imagine the effect of what I am doing while saying the spell, but even with these techniques, I am still not getting anywhere.

      Any Advice?

Try to influence the dream more passively. Don't force something to happen. Just expect it to happen, imagine the result you want, and don't worry about the mechanics of how it should happen. Think of it as a wish instead of a spell. Wish for something to happen, and let your subconscious figure out the details.

So what your saying is that I should just say a spell and expect it to work without a second thought, or what?

Yep, just expect things to happen, and they will. The strange thing is, they will normally happen in ways you wouldn't normally imagine. It can be surprising and hilarious. Try to integrate it into whatever narrative or situation is currently playing out.

Yeah, but these have failed me so many times it's going to be tricky to not doubt that they will work and just expect it to happen. What can I do so I don't doubt the spells?

Things like super powers are something you have to allow yourself to do. It's a lot easier if you give yourself an archetype to work with - Harry Potter, Merlin or something. Use the idea from that archetype to create the effect you want.

Don't think 'how do I shoot a fireball from my hands?!'

      Instead, think "KAMEHAMEHAA!

I use a magic wand. And when things are bad to me, I kill them. With my wand.
