Have you tried closing your eyes and spinning on the spot? This not only focuses the dream but (apparently, i don't personally know) also allows you to change anything if you concentrate on it while your eyes are closed. |

I have experienced lucid dreaming just for 5 times. But in ALL of my Lucid Dreams, I became lucid in my home, usually in my room. But ALWAYS in my home. Therefore i always have the same surrounding, my home, my neighbourhood etc. |

Well i've tried closing my eyes and trying to focus and i think i have achieved focusing. I didn't spin though. Nevertheless im %100 sure i was concentrated. |

First, think of the place you want to go. Like mentioned before, close your eyes and spin, while concentrating on the place you plan to teleport to-tell yourself that when you open your eyes you will be in that place. Works for me. Good luck! |

Thanks for your reply monika |

How about, |

DILD [3] WBTB/MILD [1] DEILD [1]
That's is a really creative idea! I'm so going to try it! Thanks! |

I've had the exact same problem, it's alright the first time but then (because of my poor dream control) I might as well just be awake. I finally managed to get out of this last night though. I was in my bedroom again but then the dream started destabilizing. I went with it and eventually got into a white void. Once I was there I managed to slip into a different setting. I don't know how well this works for others but maybe you could let it destabilize a bit then try imagining somewhere else? I'd be interested to know if it worked for anyone else. |

DEILD [5] DILD [12]
Why you just don't go out and explore? I would do that in stead of trying to get somewhere in particular first. That definitively will change the place. It's awesome the stuff my mind sets once I go beyond my real life boundaries. |

I have had this very same problem everytime I acquired a LD through some other method than DILD or MILD but what I did recently while in a LD was call up my Dream Guide (I just shouted for him and he appeared) and he showed me how to go anywhere. He said all you have to do is imagine the place you want to go then turn around and it worked. |

"A dream is like a pen; it gives you a chance to ponder, draft, sketch, scribble, spark, draw a conclusion and make your mark."
According to the story, there's a train station behind a wall or some... it's not big deal to walk through walls if you want! |

If you want to actually search for Hogwarts, then you have to find a train station in town or at least pretend there is one. At the train station, go through one of stone walls between platforms 9 and 10. You will then be at the hidden platform 9 3/4. Just ride the Hogwarts Express and ask Hagred to give you a boat ride to the castle. |
|
Walk out the door imagining where you want to go, go on your computer and search for a location on something like Google Maps, jump out the window screaming the location of wherever it is you want to go, etc. |
|
I'm still waiting to get lucid. Normal dreams are so boring |
|
One method I have for you is this: You said the surroundings in your lucids always end up being your home, correct? So if that's the case, I'm assuming there's a few doors in your house. Look for the door that leads outside of your house. Before opening the door, imagine where you want to go. Believe firmly in your mind that the door leads to whatever place you want to go. Then, when you open the door, hopefully it'll lead to your intended destination. It doesn't work all of the time, but it's one of the more common methods of changing your surroundings. |

Don't know how many of you have played Portal, but I've found I can get anywhere, from anywhere, by pulling out a portal gun and abusing the second portal placement archetype I've built up after so many hours of gameplay. It's hard to explain the process accurately, as it's so abstract, but the gist of it is you place the portal knowing where the other end is already set up, and the archetype takes care of the rest. All in all, it's basically like using a door, but much more reliable/powerful/easier, for me anyways. |
|
What worked for me was to use a door. Just go to any closed door and concentrate really hard on where that door is going to lead you, visualize what (or where) you want to be on the other side. You'll kinda just know when its time to open the door, and with any luck it will work. I used this technique to go from a store in an unknown location, to walking directly into my own house and it was my first time teleporting. The DC who was with me thought I was nuts, because I stood there and stared at the door for like 5 minutes |
