      Dream Character Convincing

Im a little new to this lucid dreaming thing, but i wonder what would happen if you tried convincing a dream character that they weren't real, and were in fact just a figment of your imagination?Or if you tried convincing them that they were in a dream and could do what they wanted.Would they accept it or try to deny it?And if they accepted it, would they be able to control certain aspects of your dream?

I was thinking about this last night and was wondering about it.

I told a kid (about 13 years old) that he wasn't real, and he was just in my dream. He ignored me so I gave up, trying to talk to him. But I don't think i've actually sat there and tried to convince someone that they were a character in my dream though.

I've gotten a mixture of responses from dream characters when I tell them that. One time, the DC just looked at me with a look of horror and ran away. Just last night, I had a DC argue with me that it was not a dream.

      Yes.

All the time. At first they don't believe me, but I prove it in almost every way. They usually freak out, cry, beg me not to wake up. They always try to convince me it is real while they are in denial. They'd say, I remember my whole life, what happened today, etc. Usually if I feel sorry for them I transport them places to help them fulfil their hopes and dreams. How ironic. Or I just erase them knowing it was a dream from their memory. Like I'd reverse time to before I told them, or hack into their mind and remove it, etc.

One of the first times I had an LD I told A DC that they weren't real and they just ignored me. Recently I told one of them and they said they knew and guided me through my dream and I asked them questions.

Well if i ever have another lucid dream, im gonna try my hardest to get at least 5 people in my dream to belive they are in my dream. No one did ever answer my other question:

Could they control certain things in your dream if they realize they aren't real?

Good Question, i have been playing around with this idea for awhile now.....

Could lucid dream characters become self-conscious upon telling them they are just a character in someone’s dream? thus be able to effect your dream?
