A while ago I became lucid, I sat up and looked into the hallway and saw 2 mysterious figures just standing there.. It was dark so I was scared. I just stayed in my bed an let the lucid fade away.. |

That reminds me of a book I read where the main character was trying to teach a girl how to use a knife to defend herself. But the girl was too afraid of the knife whilst practicing (encase she fell on it or something). So the main character made her walk around holding the knife for a week without ever letting go of it, by the end of the week she was completely at ease |

Regarding the 2 figures, the best thing to do is remember that they're not real. You can command bad DCs or creatures to go away and they probably will, brownie points if you have enough conviction and expectation that they'll go. As for the dark basements, I'm the same way. I simply look away (making sure it's completely out of my sight) and when I look back, I expect the lights to be on. Either that or I just go for it and pretend nothing bad could be down there. It's like walking around the house with the lights off, just on a higher and more supernatural calibre. |

We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

I was afraid to when i had similar experiences regarding lucid dreaming, my solution was my great interest for lucid dreaming. I stopped lucid dreaming for 1 month but after it i was still interested and started again. even do i was still afraid, and later i lost all my negative thoughts about lucid dreaming. |

spend allot of time in your basement during the day, become very used to it then youll know its safe at night |

1.What lucid environment would you most prefer? |
|
next time youre lucid and you feel like you dont have any control over what is going on, do your best to just stay calm(you know its a dream) and see where the dream takes you. some of the best lessons ive learned in lucid dreams have been where i just let go and rode it out. |

ha, fair enough |

You can try lucid dreaming in the early morning when it is getting light outside. You could also try it on a weekend when you can sleep in until 10 or 11am. Things aren't so scary in the morning. |

It's nothing to be afraid of, for some reason I've never really had an emotion during an Lucid Dream. Once in an Lucid Dream I was walking with some guy and it got dark, almost pitch black. We saw a little Cafe. We saw three black figures with helmets from Dead Space. Then I found out that the guy I was walking with was hiding behind me. That's so funny. |

I know the fear you speak of about the two people. When I was little and WILDed (way before I knew what LDing was) I would always see people in my bed room or the hall way or monsters from under the bed would get me. To this day I have a hard time walking in a dark room because of this, but I make my self do it all the time to help control the fear to a point. I still freak in total darkness when alone. For this problem just try to remember they are not real and they are only there to scare you out of being lucid. Think of them as guards of your mind keeping you from achieving your goal and banish them next time you see them. |

Just remember that nothing can hurt you, you're basically Superman. I would reccomend venturing into your basement in a lucid dream when you feel ready, LaBerge reccomends seeking out the shadow (dark figures, monsters, and other such things) and reconsiling with it in order to overcome factors, concious or subconcious, that are limiting you in waking life. |
