Rather than rubbing your hands, try splashing them in cold water. It provides a quicker physical stimulus. |

Walk around slowly in the dream and touch many objects. |

This is what works best in my experience, too. This morning I had a lucid dream where I was on a beach, so the first thing I did was bend down and touch some sand, put my hand in the water and listen to the waves. I think taking in your surroundings with different senses helps to stabilize dreams best. |
