Hello, I am a highschooler who has had experience with lucid dreaming before. I have had about two years of experience in lucid dreaming. I practice on-and-off again, but haven't sustained a journal for longer than a month. I can typically get between 7-8 hours of sleep on a weekday, but on the weekend I usually get 10 hours. I can push to 12 hours if I really want to, but I don't like to because of the effects of getting up on the next monday. I have been a visitor to dreamviews for a while and am familiar with all of the DILD terminology and I have read a lot of material on lucid dreaming, including Stephan LaBerge's work. I can recall 2-3 dreams on an average night, and can wake up in the night without an alarm if I want to. I am joing this class for support and motivation, as well as guidance on achieving lucidity. I feel that right now I have good dream awareness, sometimes recognizing something is amiss, but not becoming lucid as much as I should. |

I think that my strongest aspect is awareness iwl and asleep. I am working on waking up naturally after each sleep cycle. |

Hey, I haven't been able to focus on ld for a while because of some other things getting in the way. I am going to be recording atleast one dream per night. Tonight I'm trying a natural wbtb with the water method that you suggested. I think im going to ld tonight or in the next week at least, I'll keep you posted! |

So I drank too much water and woke up three hours later. Will reduce the amount of water tonight! I think I became lucid, I can't remember that clearly. I did accomplish one of my dream goals to get high. I've never taken lsd and in my dream it blurred my vision and made me see wierd colors. So that was really fun. I hope to get better at flying this week. |

I definitely know what you mean about drinking too much water. I have done the same thing a couple of times recently but last night even though it seemed a little less than four and a half hours, I felt like I woke up at the end of a REM cycle and felt pretty good so I went ahead and did my wake back to bed then instead of risking waking up too late to do one later. Good luck getting the volume of water right! |

My lucid dreaming journey: http://www.dreamviews.com/members/fo...boutme#aboutme
Two nights ago I drank just the right amount of water to wake up six hours later for me, which was 2 cups. Last night I tried to time it up at four and a half hours later, so I kicked up the water intake to 2 1/2 cups, but I cannot remember getting up. I had a strange dream last night, that I thought you would be able to offer insight on. Here's it summed up. I found an ominous presence within my dreams, so I wanted to wake up right away. But I forced myself to remain asleep and become lucid. I teleported away from the presence and ended up in a bathroom, (My numero uno dream sign, they're always huge) but it followed me, I teleported again. This time I was on a cruise ship. I rocketed up off of the ship and hovered a hundred yards above the ship. I look around, disapointed at the lack of sensory input and how I wasn't as concious as I am in waking life. I open up my eyes further and see that the sun is replaced by six yellow elipsis, as if there were six stars all having an eclipse. I focus on my hearing and I hear the waves. I feel the dream become unstable and I feel if I am imagining all of this like I would before I sleep. I feel my waking body and come back to real life. I think this is a dream control stabilzation issue, but I would like to become more aware in my dream without the fogginess. Any suggestions would be great, Thanks! |

I tend to use patience in those situations and sometimes keying in on what visuals I do have and waiting for the rest to form around what is already there. There are tricks others use like calling out loud for "clarity" or "brighter" and some I have used like removing the shroud, blanket or sleep mask that got over your dream eyes. |
