Welcome Harklin! Those 3 things that you mentioned "reality checks, a dream journal(In a note book), and trying to raise my awareness" are a great start! Try to find a way to keep them up at your own pace so that you don't get tired of doing any of them. I also took a quick peek at your other post and that possibly could be counted as a lucid dream where you were lucid for a few moments and then just got caught up in the dream and lost lucidity...which is the way they can often be early on. If you remind yourself that you are dreaming, rubbing your hands together and repeating that you are dreaming you can maintain your awareness in the dream longer. A lot of my early lucid dreams were like yours with some beautiful female and a strong connection to them and I just knew I was dreaming(they still are, haha). Here is a nice thread where a lot of good advice was given for beginners: Link>>http://www.dreamviews.com/general-lu...-all-over.html |

Thanks, I will definitely look into that forum. Yeah I just didn't want too a reality check at that moment! I wish I had more will power to do so instead of just a normal dream, but at the time in a dream what ever happens just goes |

Ok, let me know if/when you do have questions. For now, I will add that it is an advantage to have that naturally! Usually to turn a WBTB into a lucid dream it helps to be after ~4.5 hours(could be a little different for you) of sleeping and getting up and activating the mind a little and perhaps going back to sleep saying a mantra. If you find yourself coming out of the middle of a dream back into your bed you may be able to DEILD right back into the dream lucid if your REM cycle is not over. |

Ok, I will definitely try that if that happens! So in this thread we just post questions right or what else? I didn't get to much info out of the starter guide for it. |

Sure, you can definitely use it as a place to ask questions. You can also use this space to log what you are trying, what works and what doesn't work so that you can refer back to it...you would be surprised how easy it is to forget doing something that was working for you, so logging it here can be a reminder. |

Ok, so it has been a little bit, but last night I had what I would call a true lucid dream for me. I do not remember the first part of the dream but I do remember saying "Hey, you know what? I'm Dreaming!" and then for what ever reason I gained full lucidity. I then proceeded to do a reality check to confirm I was dreaming. The dream continues to me and my family driving and I make the car go way faster than possible and my mom who is driving takes is surprisingly well. After that I "Spawned" one of my good friends by using a technique I read on the forums. Soon after that I tried to fly but fail. The dream started to fade, so instead of saving it I let myself wake. I did an RC and went back to bed. |

Congrats! |
