    Memorable Dreams

    1. Medieval Castle

This dream is basically a video game inside my head. In fact, I actually remember seeing a flat top-down map from a video game growing into an amazing 3D castle in seconds.

I remember being in my house. Suddenly, we realised that my little brother wasn't there. Immediately, I went into the lift in our house (which doesn't exist in real life), and went down underground into a crazy mystical land. Well, it wasn't at first. At first, it was just like an infinite nothingness, with a 2D map on the totally flat ground. Suddenly, in front of my eyes, the ground expanded into full 3D, building up from the ground.

I don't remember too much from inside the castle, but I do remember being inside the castle in a room with stone walls around me, and a moat of lava between me and a bunch of enemies (who looked surprisingly like Goombas from Mario).

I think I woke up after a couple of minutes of battle.

One thing I can say is that this was by far the craziest of dreams that I've had, and I'm shocked that nothing about it seemed strange enough to go lucid. In some ways, though, I'm quite glad that it didn't. It was a great dream, and by far the strangest that I've remembered yet.

    2. My First Dream Recall

Well, last night I had four dreams which I remember. However, only in one (the last one) can I remember what happened and what it felt like. It's all non-lucid, but I got pretty close.

Background knowledge: around once a year, I go to America with my brother ('J') to see some family members - my grandfather (from now on 'G'), and my cousins (only one is in the dream - 'E')

I had just arrived in America with my little brother (although my mum wasn't with us), and saw E. She looked nothing like she does in real life, however. If that wasn't strange enough, the airport which we had just arrived at (in America) was my school - in England. We walked outside and entered a strange building made from orange steel cylindrical bars, so each room looked like a prison cell. There was very little light. J commented that my school had a strange repair facility (?). We then walked past a cell, in which was imprisoned a young, blond member of my school (whom I did not recognise). We then left the strange building.

We were back in natural sunlight. I have no memory of seeing J after that.

E and I walked into a car park. We entered a large black car. She went in the passenger seat, and I went into the back.

At this point, I attempted my first in-dream Reality Check. I bite my arm and feel nothing. I also hold my nose, and continue breathing. Just as I am about to conclude that this is a dream and become lucid, the driver (G) turns around, revealing himself to be a character with a face not unlike the clown from Stephen King's 'It'. This surprised me enough to wake me up.

Waking up so close to lucidity was a massive disappointed, but at least there's always tonight.
