Uh, my first dream on here, I guess?

My first attempt at this. Just some dream I had few months ago. THEN are thoughts I had inside a dream, NOW are thoughts I have now, recollecting on what I saw. Really very boring. Beware bad grammar.

I was in a city, which I thought to be Seoul (divided between North and South Korea, like Berlin during Cold War, for some reason. ). It was night. I was in 'South' part: I could see big market square, with very flashy lights and modern buildings (NOW: that market was anachronistic for Asian city, only old European cities have markets per se - but its structure did reminded me of market in my hometown city, Poznań). I can describe several things about city in great detail: first, it was mostly completely full of people, but at two instances street got completely empty, only some of the lights remained on and some sort of music was playing. (THEN: I thought it was because someone was shooting promotional video for the city). Second, on my right, there was a very large building with very flashy lights (NOW: its structure reminds me of De Bijenkorf in Rotterdam, built in 1930 and completely destroyed in WW2 - I read about it quite a lot a few weeks before). I remember most of the lights were neon and pink-ish, like in night cities in Alan Moore's comics. Third, adjacent to the building was a street which I remember was very empty, whilst most of the city was, as I said, completely full of people. It was, however, full of very nice buildings, mostly restored old industrial buildings from red brick. And fourth, across 'De Bijenkorf' was a residential building (THEN: I thought about when it could be built, and I concluded that no later than 1945), rather small (just a few floors), from red brick, with very similar building next to it. I thought about how hip would be to live in such a great location.

I walked on the market for quite a while (THEN: looking at neon lights, I thought it was unjust that *we*, meaning people who live here, get to live in such a great conditions, while just a few kilometers across people perish in North Korean dictatorship). I went to the residential building across 'De Bijenkorf' two times. At first, there was no one present - lights were on, but I didn't enter anyone's apartment, and staircase/lobby were just dark and empty and not really elegant. The second time I went there (after quite a lot of walking, of which I don't recollect much), I stumbled upon radio personality Tomasz Mann (a guy I'm currently reading a book about) and some people forming a theatrical group for television. I was somewhat frightened upon stumbling on Mann, but others at the group tried to relax me. They were having a late-night drunken party and watching TV. I talked with them for quite a while (THEN: one of them looked like Marilyn Monroe, and I remember I promised myself to check who she is in some 'not-distant future': I don't remember if I thought about just returning home, or after the dream was over: both are possible). I also talked a lot with some old lady who seemed like she had very rich and fascinating life (THEN: I thought about the streets of Paris, to which I've been only once, when I talked with her).Gradually, the room filled up with more people.

Among them was my friend from junior high and someone i had a crush on him. He was with his real current girlfriend making out (which should maybe make me angry, but didn't at all). (THEN: I remember being surprised and satisfied that he was in my dream). The real party started. Just as I was going to go, someone else forced me to forfeit my hidden bottle of vodka (I know I could read its type from the label and that I was somewhat surprised by what I read). We were drinking quite a lot, and upon leaving I stumbled upon my old history teacher, who turned whole thing into an Amnesty International (or something) event. I helped quite a lot in something and didn't see it as any sort of punishment. At one point, I had to go into the room and demonstratively say out loud misogynistic things, and later I would say it was a joke (she told me to do that). I didn't saw all the lack of logic in this plan; I agreed happily, albeit annoyed that my friends would, for a little time, think I was a hidden mysogynist all along. Just as I was to go in there for the second time to tell them it was a joke, I saw my old school friend freezing in the snow in the distance (I now wasn't in Seoul: it was night, everything around was just desert of snow and aside of building itself, which stayed mostly itself, there were no buildings nearby). I runned to her to help her.

As I was talking to her, a bunch of neoconservatives biking appeared. I immediately was transported to my old neighbourhood (from which I moved out when I was 13). They were riding through my neighbourhood's main street, and we were arguing on economical things (I was running to catch up with them). It was mostly fruitless; they were very stubborn and whole thing resembled flamewar. They had a dog, with which I tried to make friends, but he bit me (neocons on bicycles laughed a lot). (...) I was thinking about my friend's baby; he was living in Brazil, and the genetic material for his baby had to be transported from America via plane, on route approximately resembling Los Angeles-Montevideo (THEN: that made sense to me, I thought there were two ways to have a baby: buying domestic genetic material, and importing it from overseas - more costly, but also better quality, lol). I saw 2D visualization of route his plane is going to take. Shape of the continents was correct, but the cities were mostly imaginary. At one point, between some city on Jamaica and San Jose (which was in east Venezuela, lol) the route curved a lot, kind of like a bagel. (NOW: I TOTALLY SAW THIS SOMEWHERE BEFORE, I mean, the line of something taking exact same shape, but I can't remember where) (THEN: I thought it was very uneffective, because the plane was burning much more oil this way. I also thought it was due to some disability of San Jose's airport which required landing at a specific angle, and was almost angry that they didn't just take different city, so entire travel would be, like, three times shorter).
