    1. First lucid dream

I joined this website after having my first lucid dream. I wanted to record it so i never forget. I am working towards lucid dreaming but for now I have been expirimenting with WILD because that is short term. This dream happened after I attempted WILD for the first time. I had accidentally fallen asleep and what seemed like a few minutes later I was on a street somewhere. I looked around and took a few steps. Suddenly I stopped, put my hands in front of me, and went, "I'm dreaming." I was shocked. I had gotten my information from a website that wasn't that descriptive, so at the time I didn't know about dream stabilization. I didn't know what I was doing, so I ran to the nearest place with a balcony. I remember looking down and thinking, "this is not tall enough.." So I went to another building, and got to the roof. I looked down, and then around. I was hesitant-but not scared. I stood at the ledge. Before you say that this is crazy, I had a reason. For some reason, i thought that i could teleport to a different place and time by jumping. So, that's what I did. I jumped. As I fell, i sheilded my face in my arms, and right before I hit the ground, I woke up at 221B baker street. This was where my idol, Sherlock Holmes lived. So. As I had planned, I made my way down the street. The noise of the traffic was cut off by my sister saying, "You have to wake up now." My response was annoyed, "Why did you wake me up?! I was having a good dream and you ruined it! Ugh!" So i slammed my head into the pillow, and went back to sleep. A little bit later I woke up, did a reality check, and knew this was real. I was amazed and confused on why I would jump off of a roof. Anyway, I went downstairs, and asked my sister again why she woke me up. Her response,"...I didn't wake you up..." So that means that I had a false awakening. I did not do a reality check when I was woken up, because I didn't think I was dreaming. My first lucid dream showed me the power that your mind has, even to fool you into believing your own dream is real. Ever since then I have been fascinated with lucid dreaming, and have been trying WILD every night. So far my alarm clock decided to wake me up 1 out of 3 times, which is frustrating, but tonight it will work and I will try again to continue the dream I was fake woken up out of.
