    1. Swimming in Colors

by , 03-15-2015 at 05:13 PM (Second Reality Experiences)
I was walking outside in a neighborhood full of houses and all of the sudden the world I was in suddenly became underwater. I felt peaceful though. At the same time this beautiful song started playing in the background.

It was the exact same song but instead of the lyrics "Put your back into it" it was "Paint the world red and black"

At the same time the houses, buildings, and architecture dissolved into threads of black and red paint that danced around me in artistic graceful movements as I swam. It was incredibly beautiful and comforting. I was in bliss and felt so happy.

After the song ended I became lucid, the trigger was me realizing that I was breathing underwater.

I sank below into the darkness of the water and soon felt my feet hit a wooden floor. The water had somehow vanished and I was in an old home. It was a bit dark and lit with candles. I walked out the front door and saw my sister.

"Did you know I was dreaming this whole time?" I asked her.

She smiled and nodded reassuringly, walking down the road past where I was.

I yelled after her. "My keyword is...Asshole! Remember Asshole! (I couldnt think of anything but the first word that came to mind that would be easy to remember was asshole. Because it was shocking and 2 syllables.)
I hope that one day she tells me that I told her to remember this word in a dream...

I went back into the house and started dancing. I'm a pretty great solo dancer in the dream world. I was just mainly happy to be lucid again. It's been a long time. After a few minutes Ray walked into the room.

"I'm lucid Ray! Isn't this amazing?"

"Yes," he said. "Make sure to write this down."

      Then I woke up instantly.

When I woke up a lot of the dream was lost. It was much longer than this and more detailed. So much of it left me when i woke up but I think I got the most important parts and I am so glad that I was able to do it again. I was starting to think I lost my ability..

    2. Zee and the Monastic Temple

by , 09-28-2013 at 09:11 PM (Second Reality Experiences)
I am driving on a road while talking on the phone with my mother. She sounds very upset and she keeps talking about how she is not able to find a job, how she thinks she may have to declare bankruptcy, and how my dad won't help her with her bills. I was trying to help comfort her, but as I am talking the entire road I am traveling on unravels and causes me to crash into some brush. I hung up on her because I needed to get out of the current mess I was in. I get out, the car is destroyed, and I try to make my way to find some help.

There is a lot of greenery. Everything is lush, and almost tropical, like I had been transported to India or something. I come to a backyard with a lot of junk in it. A brown pit-bull is in the yard that keeps barking at me. Thankfully the chain fence keeps him from actually attacking me. I walk around to the front and open the gate. When I do this I hear yelling and a man comes out of the house trying to chase me out. I don't know what to do so I just start running from him. I get far enough ahead and I see a shed that I quickly jump into and hide before he sees me. The dream fades out.

I'm in my bed and I realize I am really deeply tired and know I can stay in the dream awhile. I close my eyes and I'm able to do a WILD. (I am lucid, but it goes in and out a lot. I'm only semi-lucid.)

I am back in the big shed I ran into. Near the doors I see another person. It's another guy, and thankfully he is not the one that had been chasing me.

"Hey, come with me." He motions me forward.

When I reach him he kind of brushes against my chest before grabbing my hand. I get the feeling that he had more than friendly intentions - But it is gentle and completely non-threatening. I feel a comfortability around him that is rare when I meet people. He takes me out of the shed and out of that junkyard of a place and right up to another building. When we pass through it there are a lot of auctions, of people. I don't know why but people would get up on platforms and others would bid for them. I couldn't really process it because before I knew it we were leaving and on the steps of another building

I look around and it is actually a Monastery-like place. The architecture is beautiful. I see lots of people sitting on pillows around an elongated table. They all wear ceremonial robes, very eastern traditional garments that monks normally wear. There were women too so it was a co-ed spiritual place. I really enjoyed it as it felt incredibly peaceful.

The young man that brought me here looks at me, "My name is Zee. Normally outsiders are not welcome here, and I brought you against regulation. Come quickly and try not to be seen."

I follow him urgently to his room, which was incredibly small. Just a bed and a tiny set of drawers. As soon as he closes the door behind him I hear an older lady yell, "ROOM INSPECTION!!"

      Shit

I look under the bed to see if I can hide there but it is standing only about 3 inches from the ground and there is no way I could fit.

      "Stay there!" Zee says.

I stay and curl into a ball next to the bed. Zee dumps a bunch of sheets over me and makes it look like I am just a bundle of unfolded fabric. The dream fades out and I wake up.

(I'm back in my bed but I am really excited about this dream so I keep my eyes closed and I am able to WILD again). I am back in Zee's room but he is gone. I look out the window to check and make sure I am in the right place. Sure enough it is the same temple. I think about trying to magically make him appear but then feel that that would be "cheating" and the dream would lose it's authenticity. In the corner of the room is a young pretty blonde girl who has features similar to Zee's. It clicks in my head that she was his sister.

"It's a good thing you disappeared when you did. You weren't found out. Zee could have been in a lot of trouble you know."

"Where did he go?" I ask.

She shrugs her shoulders, "He's outside of the room somewhere. You should go look for him."

I am already wearing ceremonial robes like the others. That's a good thing because I will blend in more and it would be less likely that I was questioned outside. I walk out of the room and down the hallway. I come to a room where there is a large circle of people weaving different fabrics.

The dream ends and I wake up again. This time completely.

    3. 2 Interesting Dream Fragments

by , 09-28-2013 at 05:18 PM (Second Reality Experiences)
      1. A ghostly hand touched my hip on bare skin as I was sleeping. It was so icy cold it woke me up and even when i got up and went to the bathroom I could still feel the prickly cold where the hand had been.

      2. I was in a room doing an experiment with bees. There were several containers with bees in them and I was measuring the frequency of sound that the buzzing produces. According to the dream, the frequency directly correlated to food scarcity and happiness of the bee. The higher the frequency, the more content the colony was, and the more abundant their resources. Lower frequencies linked with problems.

Looking back on that I wonder how "true" this dream experiment was. I don't know where my brain came up with that but it sounds like a valid hypothesis.

    4. Zuri

by , 03-14-2013 at 03:28 AM (Second Reality Experiences)
The dream begins with a nightmare. I am in a place where I cannot touch the floor or I will fall through and get eaten by sharks. It's much like the childhood game my sister and I would play called “Lava” (in which we would pretend the floor was molten lava and we could only touch or step on furniture to make our way throughout the house). I don’t remember much of it except that 2 creepy old men were chasing me and each of them died. At some point I become lucid.

I am in a house. Now that I know I am dreaming touching the floor is no longer a concern of mine. I go up to the first window I see. Outside it's raining and there's a boat dock that has a canoe in it. The window has a latch on it which I undo and push open to hop out.

I walk on the wet pavement..There seems to be no one around.
"Hello? Is there anyone there?" I yell out.
There's no answer. I go up the road trying to find someone to interact with. The dream is very stable and I am much more calm than I have been in the past after becoming lucid, and I know it will help keep me in the dream longer.I get to a downtown area where there are many people going about daily business. A couple of girls in the distance are staring at me excitedly and whispering. One of them has long straight black hair with straight edge bangs and is very tan. The other is pale and blonde. The black haired girl is really excited to see me but I find her to be really annoying. She talks like an annoying girly sorority girl. She asks if I want to stop by her place, but she motions me toward the area where the nightmare started. Hell no. I tell her no thank you.

"It's ok," she says, "I do have to get going anyway though!"

She waves goodbye to both me and the blonde and runs off.

The blonde laughs at me,"Don't mind her. She's a little spacey."

      "Who are you?" I ask.

At first I think she tells me "Laurie" but I can't quite hear her.

      "Hi Laurie," I say.

She corrects me, "Oh, not Laurie, it’s Zuri.”

“That’s a unique name.” I reply. I feel so comfortable and also feel strongly that there is something special about her. It's rare when I can really talk to a DC like this and have it feel so normal. Zuri is such a great name too. One that I had never thought of before. The dream is also very stable compared to the last few I've had which only causes me to feel more intrigued by her. I study what she looks like (so that later I can draw her). Her hair is shoulder length and wavy. She's wearing dangling pearl earrings. Her outfit is a white men's style jacket with a tight dark blue dress that stops just above her knee. I didn't look at her shoes but I assume she is wearing heels.

She grabs my left hand,“I think we’ll head over to my place, and I think you’ll find it much more comfortable anyway.”

We begin walking through the city. It’s modern and clean. Everything is well-kept. There is no trash or litter. The lights from the windows make the place seem to glow as it grows darker outside. Zuri is so pretty too. I resist the urge to tell her though. I want to find out more about her, but more in the way I would actually try to get to know someone in person than treating her like another random DC.

“It’s just up ahead around the corner,”she points out, “I live in Park Place.”

Once we turn the corner we enter an apartment building. We walk down the hall and stop at the first door on the right. I look at the numbers above the door.

      They read “208 Viloire 08”.

Zuri takes her keys from her purse and begins unlocking the door.

Just as that happens I wake up. Damn it!

    5. Dream Sirens

by , 02-26-2013 at 01:48 AM (Second Reality Experiences)
I am at what appears to be a large outdoor festival at night. There’s a bonfire with big open air tents scattered throughout the area. I notice that there are quite a lot of beautiful young women. Interestingly they are wearing armor so I assume it is some kind of renaissance festival.

Anyway they are very seductive with people that pass by. One of them grabs me by the hand and presses me against the wall kissing my cheek. She looked kind of like this:
      What do you see?-warrior-angel2.jpg
“Tell me your dreams,” she whispers in my ear.

Something doesn’t feel right. I look over at another man that was enamored with one, and as he speaks to her, a blue energy leaves his head and is absorbed into the girl. Then it hits me. They feed off of the memory of people’s dreams. If I told her any dream memory – she would steal it from my mind and erase any recollection of the experience I had.

“No,” I say and push her away

“Please!” she begs and grabs my hand. I just shake it away.

I decide to fly above the crowd and notice there were a lot of these women. I wonder what they are. I dub them “dream sirens”. There is a big contraption in the middle of the gathering that they would turn on when they pushed people in - to forcibly suck dream memories out of their souls.. It’s actually kind of scary. I have a hard time remembering what exactly this machine looked like.

My dreams are obviously extremely important to me so there was no way I was going to allow that. After a while of trying to escape from these girls (each kept trying to pull me toward them) a bell rings.

“It's time for the final and most important extraction,” one of them looks at me. “And we choose you.”

Now all of them are grabbing me and pushing me toward the center of the pit to force my dreams out of my head. I scream and kick, trying to get them off of me but it didn’t work and they keep pushing me toward the center.
Before I reach it the dream ends.

    6. Museum of Ancient Culture

by , 02-18-2013 at 10:47 PM (Second Reality Experiences)
I wake up for a brief moment and then go back to sleep, and am able to do a WILD

I'm in the middle of a downtown city. It looks to be about midday - the sun is out and it's bright. The clarity is fantastic. I can see the individual leaves on the trees. I remember from reading Stephen LaBerge's work that in order to keep the dream stable I need to be constantly participating. So I try to take in everything I can. I begin to run down the street. There are no other people in sight. It's like a ghost city. I come to what looks like an Art History museum. Behind Glass is an ancient statue of an elephant. It's a humanoid elephant and it's style was strongly reminiscent of Egypt, India, and Greece all kind of melded into one. I remember studying the details of the white marble and marveling at how intricate they were. I even turned away and looked back and everything stayed the same. It was that stable!

(I drew a depiction of it)
      Good ol' Snes.-307376_10101821451558322_800239256_n.jpg

I walk inside the museum, and feel like I own it. I mean essentially I did own it because it was my dream. But I walk around and look at a few things. I see another statue of a horse belonging to the same civilization that was intricately decorated with a headdress and feathers. I am pretty amazed at the beauty my mind had came up with for this civilization. I feel like I could derive a whole culture just from the statues that had been placed there for me to see. I walk into a darkened room and begin to hear an ominous static noise that reminds me of the game "SlenderMan". And as soon as I begin to fear seeing him he shows right up - just as expected. I quickly try to ignore him and he disappears.

I notice a guy in a security uniform standing in the museum. I walk up to him and feel like he shouldn't belong. His eyes shift away from me, and he has a look on his face like he is up to no good. I tell him he needs to leave and he promptly replies "No."

That's fine, so I try to erase him by waving my hand in front of my eyes and hoping as my hand passes he will disappear (this has worked in the past for me). But, alas, it does not work and he is still standing there.

I turn around and see a couple of other guards (who seem legit enough) by a door. I wave them over and tell them to escort the guy I didn't like out of the museum. They immediately follow my instruction, grab him by the arm and take him away. I feel pretty satisfied, and then the dream ends

    7. Conscious Dreamers

by , 11-16-2012 at 02:45 PM (Second Reality Experiences)
I am in some sort of futuristic communal living area. My mom is with me. I get into a heated argument with my sister (I do not remember the details of the argument at all – I just felt really angry). This causes me to look around the area for a bar because I want to get drunk – preferably on a mango daiquiri that I am craving. My mom is there and follows me in an attempt to distract me and help calm me down. She asks if I know of a place where we can get a nice dinner and we can relax. It turns out I do know of a place. It’s a restaurant that is part of a dance club I know of. It is daytime so the place is relatively empty. We walk inside and there are many party favors scattered about the club. One of the rooms was a sitting area made to look like a huge bedroom. We go outside where the restaurant is. It is made up of sitting areas on the floor with small tables that are each floating individually on a river. It reminds me of India.. and was relaxing to go to after being so upset with my sister. My mom and I sit down on pillows which they used instead of chairs for the atmosphere. My mom asks me if I knew the waiter who was talking with a different table – I tell her no.

Our table section starts going in circles and breaks off from the restaurant. It starts floating down the river – which increases in speed quite quickly and becomes a rushing series of rapids. I tell my mom to hold on for dear life. I scream for help and start waving my hands at an older couple I see from afar. Soon my mom and I are thrown off of our table ‘raft’ and we are flying down a canyon, the river water is no longer there – it is just a dry riverbed and something keeps pushing us along in mid-air at what seems to be 100 miles an hour. I scream at my mom to be careful. I can’t see her and don’t know if she is in front or behind of me. I see the elderly people trailing after us.
Soon we are ejected into the open air over a cliff. As we fall my mom and I are able to grab hold of the edge of the cliff. The elderly couple fall behind us and both grab and hold on to our feet – and I physically remember having to pull harder to hold the man up who had latched onto my ankles. He climbs up my body and gets onto the cliff. Then he and his wife help pull me and my mother up. In the back of my mind I realize I have been dreaming and the elderly wife knows this. She and her husband both seem lucidly aware.

“Thank you so much for saving us,” I tell them. “Did you know this was a dream?”

The wife nods, “We are conscious dreamers having a shared dreaming experience,” she tells me. “It’s lucky we found you when we did.”

My eyes start watering. I feel very emotional for some reason. I feel convinced they are right even though I have no way of proving it and I feel very validated by this. Not very many people or DCs I meet in dreams readily admit to the dream reality. I feel around for my cell phone in my pocket and it is missing. I jokingly tell the lady that I wish she could call it. That way I could have proof of this and it could be authentic. She and her husband laugh. Then I wake up. I wish I had asked for their names.

    8. Video Game/ Lounging in a Pool

by , 08-01-2012 at 02:10 AM (Second Reality Experiences)
The dream starts out in which I am playing a video game, but I am seeing everything in the perspective of the game itself (I don't see my hands on a controller). The game is an interesting one. The main playable character is a girl with flowing black hair. It reminds me of Assassin's Creed, but a female version. The setting takes place during the renaissance and I am walking through cobblestone streets and alleys. As I level up my character her appearance changes, her hair becomes longer, and the design of the clothing she wears changes patterns and becomes more intricate. There is a quick cut scene and some unrecognizable pop music plays, although I would say it was dark gothic in style...like this

The character gets in what i can only describe as a big metal trench that water flows through and that people use for washing their laundry in. She hides by swimming through it into a sewer system where the water empties out. As the character gets out and starts walking I realize I am dreaming.

Suddenly my field of vision shifts from 3rd person to 1st. I am the character, except I am in my own body now. I'm walking walking in this dark passage in the sewer and my sister suddenly appears behind me. Before I can say anything I hear shuffling ahead and get a stab of fear. The sound moves closer and suddenly I see them. The sound is coming from these huge ferocious rat-like rodents.
I know it's a dream but this took me by surprise and I don't have anything to defend myself with. All I can think of to do is pull my hands out and point my fingers into the shape of a gun.

"Bang!" I yell, pretending to shoot them.

Surprisingly one falls over dead, and the others scamper away in fear. That was surprisingly easy. I turn the corner and kill a few more in the same manner.
I see light up ahead and as we push forward the sewer opens up into a hidden spanish terrace with a pool. There is a lot of debris and the buildings surrounding the pool seem to be crumbling away as if they had been abandoned. Dark clouds loom overhead. My sister Ashley dives into the pool and begins swimming. Three white belugas appear in the water and greet me as i come to sit at the edge of the pool. I pet one of them on the head.

"We should get going," I say aloud. "We only have so much time before I wake up."

Then I look at the scenery and change my mind. Usually in lucid dreams I feel like it's a race. I feel rushed to experience as much as possible which in turn actually causes me to wake up sooner. Everything is so relaxing and peaceful right now. Ashley surfaces next to my dangling legs.

I look at my sister, "Don't you wish we could stay in a dream like this forever?"

      "Yeah!" she says happily.

I notice a couple of random DCs show up at the pool, and as I try to figure out who they are everything is gone. I'm awake in my bed.

    9. Meeting Jessica

by , 07-05-2012 at 04:37 AM (Second Reality Experiences)
I am at my mother's house in my sister's old bedroom. I look in her wardrobe mirror and I start dying my hair a darker brown color with hair dye that was sitting on the dresser. As I do this I reach for the hair dye again but accidentally scoop up blonde instead of the brown I was using and coat my hair with it. My hair starts falling out and dissolving, leaving me with a huge bald spot on my head. I start crying because I have to shave my head now. I've been trying to grow my hair out long and this ruined all that hard work.
Out of the corner of my eye I see my sister through the mirror.

"Ashley!" I yell out. "I lost all my hair....I'm so upset!"

I get a sudden burst of lucidity

"Wait a minute...Is this real?" I ask her.

"Yes this is real," she says.

      "Are you sure?"

      "Of course!"

I don't trust her so I attempt to fly. As soon as the thought hits me I burst from the dream scene into the night sky like a rocket. As I fly I hear this song playing perfectly in the background...

It's been a long time since I have been lucid and I'm ecstatic. I'm flying over a very futuristic looking city. It reminds me of Tokyo - except better. I zip through the skyscrapers and then decide I should descend. I want to focus more on an intellectual pursuit than games.

I land in what appears to be a a courtyard park square. It is very well lit by street lamps and clean. There are benches in the center of the square sidewalk, surrounded by grass, fountains, and cobblestone roads. I look around and notice a young lady walking with a notepad in her arm. She has long, sandy-brown hair tied loosely to one side of her head. It looks like silk. She's also wearing a collared white shirt cuffed at the elbows with tight denim jeans. I find her to be very intelligent-looking and pretty at the same time.

I call out to her, "Jessica!"

She stops as I walk up to her. That was weird....I've never seen her before. I have no clue why I called to her like I knew her. She looks at me.

"Wait," I say,"What is your name?"

      "Jessica," she responds.

"How did I know that though?"

"I don't know. You tell me. How did you know?"

"Maybe it's because I'm the dreamer?"

She smiles and nods as if the answer helped her realize something.

"Well...you becoming lucid was not part of what was planned," she tells me. "I'm sorry though I have to get going."

I am about to ask her why but she answers before I can spit it out.

"I'm trying to decipher a word from the book you are reading that you didn't understand," she says with a smile.

Then everything vanishes right before I have the chance to ask her what word it was. I've just started reading a new book series. It's funny how dreams can surprise you.

UPDATE 1/14/13: I recently visited downtown and came across a square courtyard that looked just like the one in this dream. I had never been here before and thought it was pretty cool that I found a place that so closely resembled the dreamscape I had. Of course Im sure there are thousands of places that look similar to this - it still made me do a double take.

    10. Kiss beneath Green Sparks

by , 03-14-2012 at 06:11 AM (Second Reality Experiences)
This dream immediately followed the dream I last posted. After I woke up from that one I immediately laid back down to bed and was able to do a WBTB.

I am in a large unfamiliar house. Nothing is inside. I walk onto a tiled patio out into the backyard. It is overcast and there are random objects and junk in the yard - I remember one of the things out there was a yellow hummer. I also notice that there are no plants in the area at all. The ground is made entirely of sand and dirt. It kind of reminds me of a Fallout landscape. A large white tent stands before me. It's one of those tents that only has a roof and no walls. I think they call them frame tents. When I reach it I see a woman sitting behind a desk inside with her back turned to me. On the floor laying in a sleeping bag is another girl. She wakes up and stretches, looking at me. She's so beautiful looking - in a natural, simple way. Her hair is deep red, wavy, and tied in a loose bun in the back. Her cheeks have a few cute looking freckles. I remember how in my dream "1920s Train Station" I asked a dream character if she knew who I was and got a very interesting response. I decide I want to try that with this girl. She walks up to me just outside of the tent.

"How do you know me?" I ask.

"From...a lost place," she says quietly.

She's so pretty and elegant looking. I lose my train of thought and we start kissing. As this happens thousands of green sparks shower down from the clouds like rain. It makes the whole scene look like a dramatic romance. I don't want the dream to end but it does and I wake up... back in reality.
    11. Into the Cave of Another Dreamer

by , 02-16-2012 at 05:57 AM (Second Reality Experiences)
I am with two people in a movie production. We are the actors. I don't know what the plot is but I know it has something to do with video games (I think I was supposed to be Donkey Kong). We're in an abandoned place that looks a lot like a hospital. I open the door to a hallway and there is what looks like a Silent Hill mannequin nurse at the end.

"Silent Hill!" The actor next to me yells, "That's not original at all!"

We run away from it pretending to be scared for the cameras. Out of the corner of my eye I spot the beautiful Mena Suvari working behind the scenes. We head down some steps towards what appears to be a cave. At this point I realize I am in a dream.

This guy comes out of nowhere and introduces himself and tells us that this cave is his place. He is taller than I am, and has medium length black hair. He seems really nice, and I feel like I know who he is, and that he is another dreamer.

"I want to show you something," he tells me, leading me further inside.

We come to a piece of art painted on the cave floor. It's an animal, comprised of different animal parts. Mostly bird but part lion, similar to a griffin except not quite the same.

"Do you change into this form in your lucid dreams?" I ask him

He nods yes, "Look at this other one I've been working on. I'm trying to perfect it's abilities."

We walk to the right and look at a second painting on the ground. This one is of a raven with huge outstretched wings and flowing feathers. In the image the bird is actually breathing frost like an ice dragon. It looks awesome.

He walks away for a moment and one of the other DCs I was with earlier comes up to me.

"Your friend has a present for you."

He hands me what looks like a candy bar. I pull open the wrapper and see that it's actually some kind of jerky meat. I start chewing on it. It tastes funny, I don't think my mind was quite settled on what it wanted it to be like. But it does the job. It helps me to stay grounded in the dream. I realize he gave me the present to do just that - keep me in the lucid dream. It makes me smile. I run up to him and give him a big hug.

      "Thank you," I say.

      He grins, "No problem."

At that moment I think about my body lying asleep in bed. Everything starts fading out. Crap! I'm not supposed to think about that! But it's too late. The dream dissipates and I wake up.

During this dream I was told the name of the guy who was helping me a few times. I can't for the life of me remember what it was. All I remember was that it sounded like a screen name. Like he came from the forums. And I felt like I knew him well. When I woke up however, I realized that I in fact have never met him before in waking life. I do not know who that was. It's a weird deja vu kind of feeling.

    12. 1920s Train Station

by , 01-30-2012 at 12:08 AM (Second Reality Experiences)
Two poachers had killed a massive lion and it was lying dead and floating in water in a large swamp. They were upset at each other because they didn't know how they were going to carry it out of the place. Not only was the body heavy, it was submerged in water so it felt like a nearly impossible task. At some point I became lucid.

I walked into a large building next to the swamp. It ended up being a 1920's train station. It was decorated nicely. For some reason there were bookcases with large books and odd assortments of things you would picture in a study room - such as telescopes and globes etc. Everything was perfectly new and well kept even though it had a definite 20's feel. Swing music started playing in the background and I started dancing to it counting the correct steps we used in swing dance in high school. Shortly after that an older lady DC walked into the hallway from a seperate room. She was probably in her 50s or 60s but still looked very pretty, like Jessica Lang, and was also dressed to fit the vintage look of the place. I walked over toward her.

"Do you know who I am?" I asked her

She cupped my face in her hands and I could see tears forming in her eyes.

"You don't remember, do you?" she said.

She fell to her knees and just started sobbing. I felt so much sadness and sorrow emanating from her. I didn't know what to do - I really did not know who she was or where I had seen her before. I knelt down and kissed her lips. I don't know why. It just felt appropriate at the time - as if it were to say I was sorry. As i did that, everything faded to darkness and I woke up.

    13. First Dream Entry

by , 08-21-2011 at 08:10 AM (Second Reality Experiences)
Since this is my first entry, I will start with the last dream I wrote down in my physical dream journal.

Ray and I were canoing down a river in the middle of the afternoon. I jumped out of the canoe and swam to shore. In the distance I saw an island (called "Monkey Island" in the dream). I wanted us to go there. It was huge with large mangrove roots sprawling all around and a large central tree bursting from the center. As I reached shore I noticed the water began rising. I was losing places I could hold onto or stand on, and remember being afraid of alligators in the water. That was when I saw my dad on his sailboat and my brother on the shoreline opposite of me. I swam over to them and that is when lucidity hit me.

I decided to do a little exploring so I dove beneath the surface of the river and saw the one of the most beautiful landscapes my mind has ever come up with. I was underwater, yes, but everything was crystal clear as if it were air and it wasn't exactly underwater because I saw birds flying down there as well. To be more accurate there were dolphins, stingrays and other water-life swimming/flying through the area, along with those birds. The land below all of it looked extremely similar to the grand canyon. It was absolutely stunning. I resurfaced and grabbed my sister Ashley. I told her to come down underwater with me and we both went together. We were having a great time. A large group of stingrays headed straight for my sister and I remember she was hurrying to get out of their way - afraid of being stung. But they just brushed by her gently. Several platypi did circles around me and swam away. I can't explain the feeling of it all, just that it was wonderful and innocent, like the feeling a child would get about going to the beach for the first time. After spending some time down there, Ashley and I got out and discovered a nice house built into the cliffside next to the river. We entered it and as we did the house broke itself off and began slowly drifting away, as if it were being held up by balloons. I looked at her and said "Isn't this exciting. Our journey is about to begin.". By this time it was already evening and we were passing over many houses with their lamp-posts on. I looked around the house and made the dream become more clear. I told my sister that I loved her. She replied "Aw, I love you too."
I then said "You know we are dreaming right?"
She gazed out the window and said "I know."
I looked at her and asked "Well...Will you remember all of this when we wake up?"
She just grinned at me and gave me a face that said I already knew. This wasn't the real her. She couldn't remember something she wasn't actually doing.

SO that's that. I woke up shortly after. I didn't manipulate any of this... I just lucidly went with the flow of the dream.
