Dream of: 15 November 2013 "Elite"
I'm at an event taking place at Shawnee College in Portsmouth. A big crowd of people is gathered outside. A woman has a little girl (around two years old) which the woman entrusts to me to take care of during the event. I carry the little girl around for an hour or two. The girl is easy to care for and I realize how intelligent she is. She's able to talk and I'm a little surprised to hear her use the word "elite". I'm thinking to myself that I didn't even know that word until I was probably 20 years old. It certainly seems strange to hear such a young girl use this word in her speech.
At the end of the event, the little girl and I are inside a building. I'm still holding her in my arms. One side of the room is completely covered with a glass window. We are sitting in a row of seats, almost like an auditorium, which faces the window so that we can look out the window at the street. Other people are also sitting around us. As the other people and I look out the window, we are all shocked to see a huge black funnel cloud coming down the street right toward us. Just as the tornado reaches the building, however, it dissipates. Then another funnel cloud forms, heads toward the building, and again dissipates. The same thing happens four or five times. I don't feel any fear from the tornadoes. My only concern is protecting the little girl. I think if a tornado actually hits the building, I'll fall down on the ground on top of the little girl and try to protect her. Fortunately, however, none of the tornadoes ever actually hits the building.
I finally set the girl down in a seat while I take care of something. I still remain close to her the entire time. When I finish, I walk back to the girl just as her mother walks up. The girl looks as if she is about to cry. I hope her mother doesn't think that I wasn't watching her the entire time. Her mother picks up the girl and walks off.
I walk outside. During the course of the event I've met a fellow who I now see is walking toward his car. I hadn't known him before, but we've spent some time together here today. When he and some other people reach his car and climb in, he hollers back at me and asks me something. Then he asks me if I'm a lawyer. I answer, "Yes, I am."
I walk toward him because it seems as if he wants to talk with me about something. When I reach him, I tell him that I am a licensed attorney, but that I'm only licensed to practice law in Texas and not in Ohio. It turns out that he's going to another event in a few days, and at that even, for some reason, he needs to introduce a lawyer. I asks him if he knows a lawyer and he says that he doesn't know any. Obviously he wants me to go with him so he can introduce me. I tell him I'll go with him. I think to myself that this will give me the opportunity to formally introduce myself to the lawyers in Portsmouth. I already know quite a few lawyers in Portsmouth, but I've never been formally introduced to them. I think to myself that I should probably also take a lawyer whom I myself can introduce to the crowd at the event, even though I'm still not even sure what the event is about.
