So I ALMOST attained full lucidity. In this dream, one of my dream characters had been attacking me and while anticipating that attack, I suddenly had this realizing that it was a dream. When she came in and started attacking me, I kept screaming that it was a dream over and over again.. Instead of gaining control over the dream, I woke up altogether. Is there no way for me to remain asleep after that?
Another weird dream this time.. Well, maybe not weird but more vivid. I was actually doing terribly when it came to moving out. As it turns out, I did not move out at all and actually over-occupied the room by having put stuff on my roommate’s side. There were, to say the least, several signs in the dream that should have let me know it was a dream, but I didn’t really think it was out of the norm. First, on my roommate’s side was my stuff and for some reason I should have known that the only way she was able to leave is if she were to have moved out already but she didn’t. My RA was there and I told her I would be able to move out in an hour. There were several things in the room that I had that I didn’t have in real life – a wall-sized poster of Youko from XXXHolic, for one. Sheer pink curtains and so on. I also got lost several times going back to that room… so much that I ended up in a charcoal black version of my dorm full of girls that eventually became prostitutes. Yea, I should have known. I also saw a scene from the Magician’s Nephew for some reason. Well in the end, I was late and as it turns out, someone had broken into the dorm and it had become a crime scene (I was warned not to go beforehand but I didn’t listen) and when I had started packing up, I was told to pay for it because I wasn’t supposed to do that. Long story short, things got so bad that I was like, “Oh my god, I just want to wake up from this dream.” I have come to notice that I become more lucid when it is a bad dream. It's usually bad enough for me to wish it wasn't a bad dream and will myself awake... Maybe over time I can learn to control it, so, any tips for inducing nightmares?
I think I would waste a lot of time trying to name my dreams, so I probably won't do it. Will just date entries as is.. I have a separate dream journal offline (an actual journal) but then I figured it wouldn't be a bad idea to keep a record online too just for funsies. So I had two dreams that I remember... or two interconnected dreams. It's a bit fuzzy because during the dream I felt they were connected. Still trying to do the lucid dream exercises but there's not enough time to sleep and still do what I want during the day. Looking back at these dreams makes me realize there were MANY points, marked by asterisks, during the dreams when I should have realized that it was a dream... but nonetheless, you'll see why - So for the first dream that I remembered, I had been sleeping over at my aunt's house with a few nameless and faceless cousins of mine* and she was living with a a boyfriend*, Adam Levine* (yes, the singer), and ironically he didn't go by that name - Lik Levine*, and she went by Something Eh*. They didn't have kids, they weren't all that affectionate with each other, and their house was really weird. They owned an apartment building as a house and so when a friend* and I went to the roof to hang out, the building started tilting and it would be hard for me to maintain my balance*. Then the boyfriend came out and started talking to us about something and then next dream! I was squeezed in a small car with a bunch of friends and we were going on some kind of road trip. We had been staying at this old couple's house and frankly, they were getting a bit too creepy for us so we decided to leave. When I was going to leave, I realized I didn't have my shoes on and apparently spent half an hour looking for my shoes because there were a bunch others that were my size and looked similar*. Apparently during the road trip to that couple's house, I had been sitting on the driver's window (a really weird place to sit) and so after we decided to leave, I had to squeeze in because we got a bunch of food and had to leave some behind (like a crate full?).. well, then we stopped by a fried ice cream shop and got onto this automatic shop cart and tried to talk the ladies into frying our eggrolls. It... was a crazy dream and that should have easily become a lucid dream but somehow it didn't. Too many crazy things happen to me during the day and it's hard to tell the difference. :[
