    1. The Game / Theft

      by , 10-31-2010 at 12:15 AM
Again, I only remember 2 dreams, and I was trying to WILD before bed, and screwed up and fell asleep. I'm going to post the interesting one second, even though it came first. Just because.

      The Theft
      Non-Lucid
We were in some kind of large house, maybe a funeral home, but it was huge and had many levels. I remember we were attending some kind of gathering with two main groups. The white family and the black family. (I'm not racist, Idk why I dreamed this) Anyway, someone from the black family stole something. Whatever it was it was very valuable. I got the impression that it was some kind of magic crystal or something. Anyway, everybody freaked out majorly, and we separated the two families to the two sides of the house. We (the white family, though it wasn't my actual family) started searching for whatever it was that was stolen, and came across some black members. For some reason they started beating them with anything they could find. It then became a massive battle between the two groups. We all started fighting with pool cues and stairway banisters, chair legs, anything we could find to hit each other. After a while the groups became mixed, it wasn't the white vs black family anymore, they both had white and black members. Anyway, we led squads to go secure rooms and areas still searching for the ... whatever it was. I was a leader of a small squad and became separated from them. When I walked into a room, I found my girlfriend (who I understood to be on the other side), and I pulled her aside and gave her a hug. I then continued searching for the missing item. I had a few encounters with some enemy ppl. Wonked them on the head with my banister and continued on. (I can't remember what happened for a while) Eventually I found a bunch of them, including my girlfriend, in a study with what I recognize to be the stolen item. By now it had manifested itself as a pad of paper (Lol this is probably because I've been working so hard to remember to write in my dream journal) Somehow I decide to become a double agent, but still recognize the need for me to return the lost object, so I warned the family that I needed to call in my team and most of them left. I woke up now.

      The Game
      Non-Lucid
In this dream some other young adults (18-22ish) and myself were attending some kind of academy. We had regular studies and then periodically we had this game. (The whole thing reminded me of the book Ender's Game, where they had studies, but the game was extremely important as well) Anyway, in this game we were transported to this barren, half destroyed city, and were given weapons. (I know it wasn't real to us, it may have been some kind of virtual reality or Matrix type thing. No plugs though) We had present day weapons: MP5s, AK47s, SAWs, Grenade launchers, all kinds of good stuff. Anyway, I think it was everyman for him self. There were mostly guys, but there were several girls. We just ran around blowing eachother up. Our class leader/teacher/whatever was a 30ish black woman with short dreadlocks and silver+topaz beads at the end of each. I don't remember specific skirmishes, but I do remember the end it came down to 3 of us. There were me and a friend, and then this girl with long, straight, black hair and was armed with a RPG. She killed us both with 1 rocket. I remember comming back to the training center laughing about it, and joking that I got killed by a girl. Fun Fun.
    2. Riding in a Car, Sleep Paralysis, and Getting Hunted

by , 09-05-2010 at 06:04 PM (Dreams I can Only Dream.)
      Date: Sept.5
      Time: 3:00am-12:30pm

I awoke to my alarm several times, I woke up naturally one time, and got into a full blown SP that was quite the rush.
SP Description: As I laid there trying to do a WILD, I got this rushing feeling throughout my body, I started hearing stuff, and also I got some HI. I kept entering the void, and coming out. It felt as though my body was in free fall, the same feeling I get from going down on a roller coaster. I found it kind of hard to breathe cause my chest felt very heavy. Then at one point I saw this window with a dream in it, but it faded, then I must of fallen asleep as I entered a fascinating, but scary dream.

Description: I had a couple of normal dreams, then I got into SP and ended up in a really weird dream, where I was being hunted by this zombie/human. This person was able to speak clearly, and didn't have trouble moving.

Dream 1: I walk from the New Sub, to my house. There are a bunch of kids in an old charger. I walked up to the car, it had leather seats, a modern dashboard. It had a sunroof, which I opened. The car was orange, inside it was black. There were about six of us in it. I get in on the left side closest to the window, and the driver takes off. He starts speeding through the neighborhood, at the end of the street he has to turn right, so he spins the car a full 360 degrees, I say we are going to die nonchalantly. He continues, we see a cop car at the stop sign, and he passes and speeds past the cop car. The cop never gives chase, but we end up around the block and we all get out of the car. We walk back to my house, and this girl comes up and grabs my hand, she is about my height, black hair. A nice body, but she is kind of emo, but I don't care. She takes me to a hair salon place made for the emo haircuts, she sits me down in a chair, and a hairdress that has crazy black hair starts to mess with my head, making a couple of shave spots, tries to dye my hair black. I insist she stop, but she won't. She keeps telling me to trust her. Now my hair is completely ruined, or so I think. I then see my future self. We are in a scene, were I am going out with her, and we spot a person she used to like. But that guy has a girlfriend. That dream ends.

Dream 2: Now I am in my basement with my brother Jarred, we are sitting playing video games. He asks me a pot related question, but I don't answer. He then asks me if I have a pipe, I say no I don't, nor a bong. He then gives me a pipe, and some pot to go with it. He hides it in this white plastic case. He then tells me never to smoke alone, but to smoke with others. Also not to get caught with it. He leaves. Now the scene is I am outside, nighttime, I am with my brother Josh. We are walking down towards the New Sub, and I ask him if he wants to smoke out. He says sure, so I rush back to the house into the backyard to find my dad awake. He is looking for something, I am not sure what, but I say something along the lines of it having grass that catches fire, and makes an explosion. He says yes. I go inside and the case that has my stuff in it, is in the kitchen. My mom is talking and the kitchen has a lot of stuff in it it. So I say I will look in my case for whatever they are searching for. But I keep getting interrupted by my parents. I finally grab the stuff, and then I walk outside, I look at the pipe and its very small, it has a dog design on it. I can't find a lighter, but I wake up.

Dream SP: Okay it is night time, and I am in this giant field. I can see a broken down cabin in front of me. But I am on a fence at the top. So I jump over and cross over a dirt road, I then begin to climb the second tall fence, but I hear a voice behind me. It said "I am going to find you." It is a man, about average height when I look at him. So I struggle to get over the fence I am on now, but do so, just as he starts looking for me. The fence changes a wooden pick fence. I can see my shadow through the cracks, but the guy doesn't notice, I was just about to get down, but there is a giant dog laying there sleeping. So I swing my way down the fences, and he steps through the gate of the fence, I jump back over the fence I was on as the guy walks towards the wooden cabin. I wake up, but it was incredibly vivid. To bad I didn't WILD into it. I had the SP and everything, but it wasn't enough.

Well, after a day full of reality checks and a watch of Avatar before bed (you know, for lucid dreaming inspiration ) I was decently set up for some good dreams...except for recall. It still stinks after going so long without working on it. Oh well, I'll get better again.

I'm actually not sure if the RC's helped me out any last night or not. I know they will as they become habitual, so I'm not disappointed, but to be honest, I can't remember any of my regular dreams. So maybe they did help and I went lucid and totally don't remember it; I don't know.

But, at 6:00 I woke up to my WBTB alarm, and that's when things took a turn for the better. I went for a WILD this time, and it half-worked. I went right into a dream, but I wasn't completely sure of if I was dreaming or not. I was looking for confirmation either way, but never once remembered to RC.

Before long, I was caught up in a group of DC's comprised of both people from real life and fictional characters. I cannot recall exactly what they were doing, but I believe they were looking for something very important, and although they weren't enemies, there was a lot of competition to see who would find it first.

I only had to go with them a very short while for it to sink in that this was a dream. The terrain was weird, for one thing. We had moved along from a very realistic looking place to something like a video game from the late 90's. And then of course the Na'vi in the group were kind of a dead giveaway

Knowing it was a dream, the DC's bore no weight on me anymore and I didn't care to stick around their group any longer. I just stopped and took some time to feel things around me, and before long the realism of the place increased tenfold and I grew more lucid as well.

What happened next is mostly uncertain. I feel like I did something first, but at any rate, I ended up in a false awakening and lost lucidity. I was back in bed, lying down. I thought the lucid dream was over and I had woken up, so I got out of bed to get ready for the day. But no sooner had I opened my bedroom door than I was standing back amidst that group of DC's, and it hit me again that this was a dream. Unfortunately, this time I didn't think to even feel things, so my lucidity was pretty low. I never thought to leave the DC group and do more interesting things. Instead, I just went along with them and showed off all the things I could do while knowing that physics didn't exist.

It gets really hazy after that...I remained lucid for a very long time and did a lot of stuff, but eventually I lost it again and the dream continued on non-lucid for the remainder of the dream.

When I woke up I had been asleep for over two hours, and I'm sure about an hour of that was lucid...too bad it wasn't very high lucidity, and my recall wasn't so great. But at least I'm making progress again!

    4. Wild

by , 07-27-2010 at 04:52 PM (Book of Dreams)
I totally forgot that I attempted a WILD before I fell asleep. Not because I thought it would work, but why the hell not? So I didn't really have one, but I definately felt vibrations. It was surprisingly a bit frightening. Vibrations, and a purple cloud that sparkled across my vision. There were also, at times, flashes of light, and a noise. But I don't remember the noise. Eventually I got up and went to the bathroom, lol. I also really wanted to open my eyes, but I was afraid that would make me too conscious. Any thoughts on how to improve these things??

    5. #117. The Test

by , 07-27-2010 at 06:09 AM (Things to Run Away From Really Fast)
      07/26/10

I try to WILD. I notice the beginnings of HH, let my fingers twitch and decide I haven't reached SP.

I fall asleep. I'm laying in a bed when I feel someone lie down next to me. I freeze, and pretend to be asleep.

I make an impossible jump onto the roof of a barn.

I'm walking along cold grey tiles of a huge grocery store. If I look around, I'll see water flowing past the high windows, held at bay by degrading technology. I catch a glimpse of myself from the third person. I'm a teenage girl with pixie-like features. My shoulder-length brown hair is pulled back from my face.

I turn a corner, shining my flashlight up and down the aisles.

Since I'm a girl, I'm caught up in a rite of passage that all girls in my post-apocalyptic society go through. It's less a test and more of a sacrifice. If all the girls feed the monster a part of our souls, it'll be less likely to kill us.

My flashlight flickers and goes out.

I squeeze my elbow into my side, reassured by the blade I feel hidden under my jacket.

"Come to me, child," says a voice, rasping hollow through the darkness.

The voice resonates like a song, notes ringing through my mind, weaving a compulsion. I let the song flow over my mind like water, leaving my intentions to lie quietly in the darkness.

I let the flashlight fall from my hand. It clatters to the ground, the sound harsh in the relative silence of the warehouse. The music has reached a quiet hum. The flashlight rolls away.

I feel drowsy as I respond to the tug of the song, shuffling my feet toward the back wall of the building.

In one moment, I'm alone. In the next, the monster has apeared before me, a writhing mass of shadows moving toward me and invading my space. It brings me in, compliant, pulling me to the heart of it.

A distant part of me feels panicked and trapped, but I'm ready for this. In one smooth motion, I'm grabbing my blade and rushing forward, slicing through the monster's fleshy heart. Blood bursts from the wound, spraying everywhere.

I lick my lips, and step back, triumphant. The shadows dissipate, leaving the warehouse with the dim, directionless lighting of a dream. The scene starts to fade.

I'm standing in the produce department, wearing a more comfortable dream form, short-haired and androgynous, no longer covered in blood. The dark-haired man across from me looks annoyed as he holds a hand over his heart, willing the wound to close.

My lips twitch. "You lose again, Amon."

      The Test. Scare Factor: 5.
