    1. Not much going on

      Sunday, 3/10/13

Have been working pretty much non-stop last couple of weeks, including at nights. Not much dreaming/recall going on.

Yesterday and today had some bad dreams.

      Today

DR- I'm in a dorm like setting. My auntie and uncle are visiting?

I just woke up and I'm telling my auntie that I almost got LD, had she not woken me up. (IWL I remember having "white screen" and some headrush, so I probably did almost get a DILD). On the white screen, some letters were showing up, all mixed up, but I know they would read lucid dream (ing).

They are asking about some names I have on the wall. First one is my signature, rest of them, I tell them are signatures of my friends. I'm not telling them the whole truth, because I know it's somehow LDing related.

They tell me it's dangerous to have whole names on public display and I know they are talking about LDing also.

I'm in bed, cuddling with my brother, trying to flip my hair that's falling in my eyes and covering my view. I hear some stomping sounds coming closer in the hallway. I know this is it, I should have erased the names from the wall, and I was going to, just didn't get a chance yet.

Then I'm with a friend of mine in some building. It's a long dream. We are in some room, looking for higher safer ground, because I hear the stomping again.

IWL - is it possible, I was hearing HH while about to LD?

    2. One of the strangest nightmares I've had in a while.

      by , 02-23-2013 at 01:13 AM
I am with my father, and we are driving to his new house that he recently bought. Although it is in the middle of the day, there is absolutely no one else to be seen. I keep on thinking in my head "Maybe I can stay here when my father is at his other house", and this makes me very excited.

We arrive and it is a very standard house. We both go inside and once again, very standard. My father goes into another room, and I start examining his pad. As I am going through the rooms, I trip over a pile of books laying on the floor. My father is agitated and tells me off. As I am putting the books back together, I look through them and find that they're about monsters. Not scary or hideous monsters, but the very strange and actually kind of funny kind, like you would see in Yu-Gi-Oh. One of the monsters was called a "Side-Mouther", and all it was, was a pair of ordinary looking teeth with electric probes sticking out on either side.

We are sitting down in the living, when suddenly I start to hear strange noises that my father is completely oblivious to. At first I thought of it as nothing, but then I ask him: "Are we being robbed?". We look out on the driveway and we see a white van pull away with two cocky men inside. Another car is set to follow and infuriated, my father yells profanities to the driver. The driver who is angered by this, starts approaching the front door with a machete. My little sister appears out of nowhere, and I tell her: "Quick, hide!". My father quickly picks up a hammer, and starts hitting the door in an attempt to scare the yob away. This makes the yob even angrier, and he starts hacking away at the door with his machete. The hits are very accurate and nearly hit my father. I am able to block some of his attacks, but one lands squarely on the head of my father.

      End of dream.

I know it's been a while, but I feel like this dream is worth writing down. I'll try to get back into the schedule.

I'm waiting for a ship at it's port. I don't specifically recall what my destination was, but I need to get on it. It finally arrives, and I get on. It starts out as a peaceful voyage, but as time goes on, the sea begins to get rough. Soon, we find ourselves steering away from waves and trying desperately to stay on board and keep the ship afloat. Sadly, we don't succeed. As a mighty wave crashes against the ship, our boat capsizes, sending us all overboard. I find myself swimming through the rough tides, searching for others. I finally find a few of my friends and we begin to swim to shore. After a while of swimming, we come across an odd, carnivalesque island.

We're greeted by an odd looking man, who's tending to the entrance of a roller-coaster. He welcomes us and informs us that the only way to reach the center of the island is through the roller-coaster. As I get on it, I can't help but feel that I've been on the ride. The ride is horror-themed, and pretty basic, providing weak scares and basic horror elements, up until the end. We round a corner and see a bloodied woman, whispering to herself in the dark, when she sees us, she lets out a blood-curling scream. Our trail then turns away and goes down a drop before ending. While I'm exiting the ride, I awake.

Haven't had notable dreams lately. When I do, they aren't as vivid as they usually are. Go figure. I start a dream diary and I stop having dreams. I'm almost hoping for nightmares.

Anyway, as fain as this one was, I'll try to give it the best description possible. I was somewhere in the mountains, strapped to a table with some kind of force preventing my escape. I don't recall if I managed to escape or if I was tortured there, but I remember a strong sense of terror. I also had the faint idea that I had been there a long time, perhaps my entire life.

I might start trying lucid dreaming to see if I can trigger a more vivid dream, but I see that as a last resort. I will turn to it if these weak dreams persist, though.
    5. The Lit Match

      by , 01-01-2013 at 02:25 AM
My last entry for the year... I woke up in a stranger's home during the night. I did not know most of these friends but I feel like I saw one of them on television before. Me and my family were hanging out here for the night.

There was one room where I saw my parents and another married couple sleeping in the same bed just enjoying themselves. Now that I think of it, it's sort of creepy... Anyways, later on I ended up all by myself in this very dark room. There was no one in there at the time, so I expected something scary to pop up. This room also felt like one of the dreams I had before, one where I had to spend a whole night living a ghost town with demons.

I walked around this room for just a few minutes. I was also smoking a cigarette and laying down on a bed at the time. I threw the cigarette to the ground a few seconds later after realizing I knew it was bad in reality. I had no idea how it happened but, I turned lucid when I first threw the cigarette to the ground. I still thought the dream was real and if I let that cigarette lit up, the house might not be able to make it alive.

I couldn't get up from bed. I felt paralyzed to it. I tried using all my force to get up and destroy the cigarette but failed. I then laid there closing my eyes hoping it wasn't real.

    6. Yelled at by Demons

      by , 12-22-2012 at 05:57 AM
I'm laid under the covers on my bed in a very comfortable position. I was also very sleepy and didn't feel like getting out of bed. At times it felt like I went to sleep for a minute and then woke up. I laid there for a few more minutes and heard some weird noises entering the room. I closed my eyes and started to feel something scary coming up to me, like Spider Man. All of a sudden I hear a loud scream in front of me. I covered both my ears with my hands but the screams still annoyed me.

I continued to go through this for about 3 more times. I'm guessing it was sleep paralysis, so I just tried to remain as calm as possible. I thought about trying to go to sleep to see if that can get me a lucid dream but when I did, I woke up.
    7. Nightmare

      by , 12-07-2012 at 10:23 AM
So last night i woke up for about 10 minutes due to heavy wind.. then i fell asleep and got into a nightmare.

I was on a parking lot with scary vampires, and immediately i knew i was dreaming already because of the feeling.. and before i did a reality check i woke myself up because i didn't want to continue...

    8. The Rocket, Cannonball , Sliced in half

      by , 11-13-2012 at 07:39 PM
This is my first dream journal entry. Though i've been using a DJ for a couple of years , I think I will start fresh on this site.
Last night I had a couple of disturbing nightmares, 3 which I remember the strongest.

The first one is a dreamscenario which happens now and then when i'm lucid and flying. I start flying as always, you probably know the feeling, everythings perfect and it's really liberating. Though I sometimes fear that this ''Rocket'' scenario is going to take over. So it's simply me flying through the air in the quarters of my old apartment, feeling the wind through my hair , when I suddenly stop and gets paralyzed in mid-air. I no longer have control of my body as I start to soar in a extremely high speed, up to the starry skies. Panic takes control over me and I cannot exit the dream until i'm in dead-air space, choking.

The second one is a new. I was not lucid in this one.
I'm standing on a broad ledge with my mother and uncle, when I look down I see floors scattered around my surroundings on multiple levels, at each floor there's a swimmingpool, and the floors go down maybe 200 meters.
I look across the swimmingpools and I see that this ''compound'' is surrounded by extremely tall and dark trees, almost like a fence. So I get somewhat nervous of what might happen next, as my uncle starts walking toward the edge of the ledge we're standing on.
I try to stop him ,but he jumps down yelling ''Canonball'' and I look down as he approaches a swimmingpool maybe 10 levels down. Of course he misses it and you can hear a wham as his body hits the surface.
Behind me my mother starts screaming this horrible, endless roar, and I jump down the ledge to wake up.

The third was really short and the last nightmare I had that night. I was not lucid in this one.
I'm with two of my friends drinking beer and laughing, when we decides to take a walk. And as we walk out from my friends house and into the street a man comes at us. We get freightened because he's holding a giant machete and is threatening us, we can not run away and he slices me in half, literally..... I can feel myself peel of in half , like i'm suddenly two bodies.. It didn't hurt ,it actually was kind of interesting, but scary yes.

    9. Creature Under My Bed

      by , 11-11-2012 at 10:02 AM
I could see myself sleeping. I looked peaceful. Everything was dark in fuzzy like how it would usually look when I was going to sleep. I thought, this is going to be okay. I don't know where I am... I don't know how I got here but you know, this is alright.
I wasn't completely sure I was dreaming or not. It seemed so realistically deceiving. I realized it wasn't reality. It was some type of dream. But then I though, maybe my spirit was pulled out of my body, and I could see myself, like in those shows?
I know, it was a ridiculous thought.
I saw a dark, what seemed to be burnt hand. It was just a blank dark figure, in the shape of a deformed hand. It no nails, that I was aware of. But it's fingers were big and sharp. I tried to scream out, to scream out for help. I tried to blink hard to wake myself up. Sometimes, when I'm barley awake, it wakes me up. Like that's going to work in this situation. The hand was coming out from under my bed. It grabbed me and pulled me down. For a quick second, I saw my bed. It was... the same as it was when i was asleep. That's what scared me, because everything was so...real.
I was then brought onto a horrifying, yet fun adventure.
But I think I'm going to say that one for later.
    10. Fair of Nightmares

      by , 11-11-2012 at 09:52 AM
It was a lucid dream gone wrong.
I guess it was about my first lucid dreams I had in months. I turned out fine, and not to mention romantic.
But then, I freaked out and just decided to think about all the scary stories I read before and all the movies I've seen. Then it just screwed with my head and turned the whole, wonderful dream into a terrible nightmare fiesta. I started to think about several things at once. Then it wasn't a lucid dream anymore. It was it's own, uncontrollable nightmare.

    11. Wasted Lucids, amusement rides (Nov 1)

by , 11-03-2012 at 05:19 PM (Realm of Insanity)
Dream 1- I am laying down on a bed and it is dimly lit with just a single lamp on the right side. While laying on this bed I become lucid. I don't get up off the bed but I sit up. I then say that I want a man with a gun to come attack me and the door that I'm facing opens up and a man pokes his head in. I reach into my pocket expecting to feel a gun but it's empty. I panic and wake myself up.

Dream 2- I am in an amusement park and I am trying to get on this red train but it's unstable and I keep flipping off and when I almost make it on the person driving it starts moving and I start to trip. When I finally do get on the train I become lucid and the first thing I do is wake myself up. For what reason I don't know.

Dream 3- I'm in an amusement park on a spooky ride which goes slow but it's supposed to be scary. If I look behind us there's is someone on a wagon cart trying to catch up to us which I beleive to have been snoopy.

The first time I have ever been lucid twice in one night (besides my first Deild) and all I did was waste it for whatever reason.

    12. Nightmares, showers, and burning things. :/

by , 09-28-2012 at 06:53 AM (Awake to take in the view...)
This entry should've been written on Wednesday, but I got lazy. >: (

According to my hastily scribbled notes on my bedside bookshelf, "Looking photos family." I can't remember this, but apparently it happened, so I'm recording it now. xD Now for what I actually remember. It may have been two dreams, but I'm uncertain; they sort of blurred into one another.

I was at the beach with my family. I was trying to take a shower, because there was a building with a bunch of individual shower rooms there and I wanted to get cleaned up. The building was brown with a lot of different doors on it. The day was sunny, and I remember the sand and watching people come in and out of the rooms. But I think all of them were taken, because I didn't up taking a shower, and I was uncomfortable because I was all sandy. It was really annoying.

Then this is where it turned into a nightmare. Ugh. Sometimes I wonder if it would be better to forget these...:S

We were having a campfire outside. It was nighttime. I think all my family was there. We were in a pine forest, and we had just come out of this cabin thing to go out into the woods and have the fire. We were sitting on picnic blankets, and then suddenly I felt this really hot sensation on my legs and rear end and I realized that the ground under my blanket was on fire. It was on fire under all of our blankets. Then it caught a nearby pine tree on fire, causing it to fall over. I tried to warn my mom, because she was right by the tree, but before I could it fell and hit her on the head. :c Thank goodness it was really skinny and didn't crush her. Of course it was just a dream, but it still freaks me out.

Then - get this - my dad looks around the forest and started laughing. I think it randomly changed to daytime or early evening, but the fire was still burning in random patches throughout the forest. He yelled out something like "THIS IS HOW NATURE WORKS!" as everything was catching on fire. This is NOT how my dad usually is, I promise you he's a lot less...spooky? Then this creepy oversized yellowish-brown frog thing was staring at us, with blank green eyes, and by this time I was reaaaally freaking out. I wanted to go back into the cabin (as though that was actually going to save me, lol )

And I woke up after that with significant relief.

    13. Coyote Attack

      by , 09-25-2012 at 09:10 PM
      Non-dream Dream

      Dream 1:

I am house-sitting for my parents in their old house on Pam Ln. My wife is with me and we are sleeping in the master bedroom downstairs. The bedroom looks very similar to what I remember as a child except in addition to the sliding door out to the spa there is another very large window behind the bed. My wife wakes me up. It must be morning because we can see clearly out of the windows. She is very concerned because we see a coyote walking across the window by the spa and our cats our outside somewhere. I try banging on the window to scare it away but this doesn’t work. After this attempt I resort to tormenting the coyote. I am laughing at it, scratching on the walls, yelling at it, and talking shit on it because it can’t get inside.

Suddenly it gets dark outside as if it were nighttime again and the coyote grows bigger. More coyotes are outside now and they are trying to get in. I regret my previous actions and I am now frightened. The coyotes are very intelligent and one of them is talking to me – it called me stupid. My wife and I move upstairs to my old bedroom, closing two doors behind us. We are almost certain that the coyotes will get inside of the house but we feel safe in this room. We realize that we will eventually have to face them when we leave the room and we are scared.

      Wake up.

      Dream 2:

I am in a huge crossfit gym getting coached by coach D. There is some kind of tournament going on. I haven’t been to the gym in a very long time so coach D is designing a special workout for me. I begin with box jumps and he brings out a 12” box. I pride myself in being a great jumper so I tell him that for this exercise I want to use the same box everyone else is using. He brings out a 30” box and I am having a lot of trouble with it. It seems to be as tall as me and I have to use my hands to pull myself up onto the box. Embarrassed that I can’t do it, I call coach D over and ask for the shorter box. Then I move on to a 225lb deadlift and a few other exercises. Coach D and some other people are recruiting me for their football team but I decline. They want me to play the occasional cornerback by I say that in order for me to play I have to be one of their main options for quarterback and wide receiver because that’s what I’m used to.

Soon after my workout I discover that there are hundreds of pigs lying around the gym. They are all dead, hairless and they appear to have been infected with something. I am completely grossed out. We all get white trash bags and go around throwing all of the pigs in the bags. I am now standing in a disgusting pool picking up the pigs. Coach D apologizes and explains that his pigs are breeding out of control and he can’t handle taking care of all of them – that’s why they died.

The horrible pool of water that I am standing in contains a bunch of broken needles. Me and some other guy step on the needles and one goes very deep into my foot. I announce that I have been stabbed in the lymph node and it is very deep. The guy next to me says it will be fine and I reply “you don’t know as much about science as I do.” I have a strong feeling that it will give me cancer.

I am not in the gym anymore and it looks like I am at someone’s apartment. I go through some weird scenes explaining what lymph nodes do. Basically if you leave stuff open then bad things like pollen and other irritants will get into the lymph nodes (?!?). Bill Murray is acting it all out. Bad things are attracted to me now and are trying to get me sick.

      Dream 3:

I am in the parking lot at a golf course. Some guy comes up to me and begs me to play. He tells me that nobody is playing this course because there is some crazy guy roaming the course. He offers to pay for everything: green fees, golf balls, etc. I accept. We go into the pro shop and he purchases a couple of golf balls. I tell him that I’m not very good so I will probably need more than that. We head out to the course and the guy changes into my dad. The course is very difficult and the balls are cheap. They look and feel like balls of mud. I manage to birdie the first hole. On the second hole I out-drive my dad off the tee but he ends up winning. I got stuck in a sand trap that was impossible to get out of. One time I managed to hit the ball from the sand trap and hit the flag stick, but the ball just rolled back into the sand. I eventually realized that there were other holes IN the sand trap that were eligible.

I go back to his house and he administers some strange medicine that makes me very sick but I get better later on.
    14. [All Alone]

by , 09-23-2012 at 11:45 PM (Searching For The Center of Everything)
      [Wednesday, 19th, 2012][12:30 PM]
I'm in a giant open house filled with clutter. The lights are very dim and there are two main rooms. On one side of the house there's just a
windowed wall that overlooks the sunset scenery of trees. The house is slowly getting darker and there are no lights. Alex had just left me- I'm
      alone.

Nothing is wrong, I'm just alone. I sit down and start to just relax on the couch. I slowly drift off to sleep... I wake up a minute later, a noise
springs to my attention. On the dark side of the house, where the shadow's hugged the corner, I heard a noise. I figure it must have been my
imagination. I shrug it off, but feel a strange alien thought in my head. I feel so alone... so... so alone... I just want something to hold on to- or talk
      to-

I slowly trudge over to the shadow side of the house... I hear dull clicking noises, reminiscent of Amnesia. In the far right corner of the dark side, I
bend down to pick up a stuffed animal... there was a lot of them, but I choose one that I'm most familiar with. It was a cute patchwork animal-
yellow with purple and green... Alex had gotten it from the claw machine. I pick it up and hug it- and look at it. I could have sworn I saw it move.
I let it drop to my side and I pick up another... I set them back down and watched them come to life. I was amazed- but didn't think anything of it.
I must be seeing things, but nothing too out of the ordinary. It's just little movements, like an arm twitching, or an eye blinking.

I bring the patchwork with me into the other rooms and set it on a table. Walking into the other room, I see shadows flicker and move, and things
shift around the room. I'm convinced I'm going crazy. But I'm okay, I accept it. "It won't be forever. And this isn't so bad. It's kind of interesting.
It's like I can control what I see." It reminds me of a lucid dream. My hallucinations started to become more real and vivid. Now I'm hearing
whispers. The patchwork shakes violently in my hand and drops to the floor. It begins crawl around... Oh my... then it stops in its tracks... and...
and it turned its neck to me. It whispered, "Don't be lonely. I'm here for you." I blink a blank stare back at it. (My subconscious didn't know how
to react.) I dismiss it- and forget about it.

With an empty mind, I drag myself across the house, like a ghost haunting eternity. I had no aim or goal, just to exist. Minutes passed and I knew
that I was fully insane, and descending extremely fast. Everything was talking to me now. More stuffed animals were alive, but only ONE at a
time. Next thing I know, I see a human in the room. It's- a waking life friend of mine that I know fairly well, but I don't remember who in specific.
I know it's just in my head, and I'm making him up though, so I'm not exactly freaked out. I'm just so interested in the fact that I have this much
"control" over my reality- I start to talk to the hallucination, "What's up, man?"
      "Not much." He replies.

I take my attention off of him and he vanishes, and I begin to search around the house... playing with my hallucination power.
I could stare at something and focus on it, and it would begin to move. I have "control" over this at least. I scan the back wall again, seeing
stuffed animals that I recognized from real life and some that I did not. The house had gotten pretty chilly in the last few minutes. I can feel the
cold wrap around my skin. It's very very quiet. Dead silent. Not a noise in the place, save for my breathing. Out of the corner of my eye I see the
hallucination take a human form again. It's another person who I know. (but don't remember. I wasn't paying extremely-close, conscious attention
yet at this point. He follows me around the house as I start to pick things up and clean the cluttered house. He watches me closely like a hawk. That's when the
dream becomes extremely real. In fact... It ISN'T a dream anymore. There's no way something this real is a dream. It's a full-blown reality. I can't
tell the difference one bit anymore. I'm semi-lucid too... I have control of my body- but without realizing it was a dream.
I look back up at my hallucinated visitor and he smiles at me.

That smile... it's the most horrible evil fucking smile I've ever seen. One that stretches across the face and make me choke back tears of impossible
fear. I'm descending faster into the deepest and darkest corner of my mind. I'm very uncomfortable
"I can't believe how insane I am." I reach into my pocket and pull out my phone to call Alex- the only person that I want to talk to right now...
even if I was bat crazy, she would talk to me. I call, with my eyes on the hallucination that was smiling so wide, his black eyes were chinked
behind his grin. Straight to voicemail- "We're sorry... the number you-" I hang up.

The hallucination now has a long boning knife in his hand now. He's at my neck before I even have a chance to react-
"Do... you know who... I am?"
      "No-" I sob.
"As long as Alex is... gone... I get to... come out and... play."
He casually drags the knife loosely against my neck. He vanishes when he finishes the knife's trail. I'm shaking uncontrollably. But at the same
time stilled by my muscles. Everything is frozen in fear. My open eyes scan the room and notice new stuffed animals that I don't recognize-
countless of them. The sun is almost gone, the light choked by the horizon. I turn around slowly 'til I'm facing a third room behind me. I watch the
opening for a whole minute... waiting... swaying back in forth in silence... then-

I sprint to the third back room... I jump into the room and stop... panting for second. This room closely resembles my old room of my Mum's old
house. The TV is on and static lights up the room with white noise. I slowly make my way to the far end of the room, where I put my phone on the
charger and try to call again- that's when I saw Alex had left her phone on the charger. I won't reach her at all now. My heart sinks so deep into
my chest. "Oh my god... I just want to talk to Alex... I just want to talk to her... please oh god..." I cry hysterically

My head feels very hazy, and I'm having trouble remembering the situation. What had just happened? I remember a stuffed animal... I'm crazy... a
man in my house... I took in a shallow breath- and walked back out of the room.

A body flickers into existence and blocks my path. Nathan appears very suddenly in the doorway, like a scream piercing silence. He has a
wicked grin on his face. He cocks his head to the side, and smiles more, almost saying, "Where were you?" Then he vanishes again. I push my
eyes closed to blink a few times- they were getting dry from holding them open so wide for so long. The house is caked in twilight- but this time
I'm back in my Mom's old home. I emerge from my room into the computer room. To my left is the futon. I walk into the kitchen and hear,
      "Unwell" playing by Matchbox Twenty.

"I'm not CRAZY, I'm just a little unwell- I know, right now you can't tell- but soon enough of you're gonna think of me, and how I used to be." I
listen to the words and begin to sob. "This is so real. I can't do this...

The music stops playing and Nathan is there again. He's right behind me, smiling his cold smile. It shocks me again how suddenly he appeared. I
keep my eyes on him and slowly backtracked... then I stop. I'm suddenly filled with HATE for this DEMON. HOW DARE HE USE THE IMAGE
OF MY BEST FRIEND!? Tears slowly well up in my eyes..

...until I scream and lunge for his throat. I use every bit of my strength and force him onto the futon and begin to choke him. I shake and shake
and squeeze as hard as I can. He just smiles. I choke him for a full minute, letting my hate seep out onto his neck, before I realize there is no
effect. I stand back up and take a step back.

Suddenly, the futon vanishes and so does he. It repositions right where the computer used to be- to my immediate left... where we had moved it
the second time, when we lived there. Now, Tyler sits there on the futon with a smile on his face. The lights flicker in the house and then the
power fails. It's pitch black, but I can still see his black eyes. He can change form, but he can't change those beady black eyes.

Alex had gone away and wouldn't be back for three days. Three days of hell... My soul was going to rot here
      <I woke up.>

(I cried for 10 minutes upon waking. I called Alex right away.)

      Non-dream Dream

      Dream 1:

I am in a restaurant on a cruise ship. Each table has its own tv but the remotes work on random tv sets. I keep changing peoples channel.

      Dream 2:

My wife and I are at a cabin in the woods. We go outside to take a walk. We get deep into the forest and I spot a bunch of gun lockers. Upon inspection they are full of not only guns, but fresh meat (hanging deer carcasses). This is very unsettling. It feels like we have been hiding and running from something for a long time and this is an ominous sign that they have found us again. There is nobody around and no sounds whatsoever. I test one of the guns in the locker and it is loaded.

We head back to the cabin and weird shit starts happening. People and images start popping up randomly. We had spotted a large structure out in the woods when we were walking earlier so we decide to go check it out and see if it has supplies. We get to the building and I tell my wife to wait outside while I look around. I go down some stairs into a dark room. There are more lockers here fully stocked with supplies and weapons. I begin gathering supplies but then I start hearing frightening noises coming from down the hall - like someone is being tortured. The more stuff I take the louder the noises get and the scary images start appearing again.

I get a very strong sense that the evil that is present in this building is closing in on me. I am very scared so I just grab a random box of guns and ammo and leave. On the way up the stairs I finally spot someone off to my left. There is a man at a work bench confused and banging things randomly. He doesn't seem to notice me. It hits me that these things (not quite human) aren't sure what their purpose is on earth although I know it is only a matter of time before they realize they are supposed to kill us.

I get outside and some cops are running into the building. They are not quite human either. I yell to them "he is down there and he is crazy" so they go after the guy by the stairs. Since they are also confused I am trying to convince them that I am not the target. I get back to my wife who has no idea what is going on and we start walking back. This is when we notice that there are hundreds of half dead humans (kind of like zombies) scattered around the forest - just standing there. We walk quickly through them to get back to the house. Some of them start attacking us but I fight them off.

We get back to the house and lock up. They arrive at our door and we arm ourselves. We hold them off for a while but one of them eventually gets in. A lot of glass is breaking. I get away briefly but I think I get caught eventually.

This is the first time I have woken up from a dream truly scared in about 20 years.
