Tigress then said there was more fun to be had, she said if these guys liked forced fighting so much, let's see how they do. She said she proposed a tournament, they would be fighting for their lives, and she chuckled evilly. I felt like I was losing the dream, I tried Allura's time dilation, and since it was technically a new dream I was able to stabilize the dream so it would continue… Since Tigress seemed to know where she wanted to go, neither Nomad nor I interfered when she summoned up a stargate and used a small remote to dial up a destination. The stargate opened, I commented it was cool, and then we went through it. On the other side we were in a neighborhood that was actually rather nice. Tigress said there were still gangs in the area, just that these ones have more expensive toys… and purebred fighting dogs. That made me mad that they were using dogs like that, and it made me want to kick someone's ass. Tigress said she had other plans, though, it would start with the rescuing of the dogs and then continue to the fun part. The area was clearly divided by a river running through town, as were the territories of the two gangs. The gang members weren't making any effort to keep a low profile, either. They displayed their colors proudly, driving through the street in tricked out cars blasting their music everywhere. I spotted one of them that looked like he was in charge, and went right up to him and asked if he was the one in charge around here. He asked what if he was, I said I had some product I was interested in unloading, but only to the guy in charge, I didn't want to deal with someone too low on the pecking order to make any decisions. He eyed me suspiciously, then apparently decided that he wasn't in any danger from a girl, and came with me. He said he would have to see my product first. I saw he had a gun tucked into his waistband of his jeans that he was fingering. I led him back into an alley, he looked around and said the product had better be really impressive or he was going to put a slug in me right here. I said there was no product. He looked at me like he thought I was nuts, he called me a filthy cunt, and fired his gun at me. The bullet hit me right in the chest… and right in the Witchblade as it instantly formed, he did a double take at the fact the gun had proven useless. I walked right over to him and consumed him before he realized what was happening. Now having his form, I returned to the car and his buddies, I leaned on the door and peered inside, one of them, Johnny, asked what had just happened. I said that bitch had been playing games with me, so I'd plugged her. I told them to go ahead and go, I had to take care of things, make sure the right person was blamed for this killing. They drove off, though they looked a bit confused about the whole situation. Tigress and Nomad came over to me, they both said they could recognize my energy, I said I wasn't hiding it. I said I knew where their kennel was, so we could go take their dogs. All three of us went to the kennel, there were a few gang members there but none of them questioned anything much since I looked like Marko and I said the others were new to the area, new initiates. One of them told me that the dogs for noobs were in the kennel on the right. Nomad said he wanted a really mean one. We went into the kennel, and while Tigress and Nomad teleported pit bulls and other assorted dogs back to my inner world I spray painted the tags of the opposing gang all over the kennel so it would look like their rivals had been there and taken the dogs. We even left a taunting note, issuing a challenge to take place on the main bridge between the two neighborhoods. So now we just had to repeat that process on the other side of the river, and it went just as smoothly over there, even smoother… because when one of the higher ups of that gang saw me he came to challenge me himself, so it was easy to consume him. Finding their kennel and stealing their dogs went easily, and now we left another challenge letter and there was nothing to be done but wait at the bridge. I was scanning activity on both sides of the river, and soon some centralized movement formed. There was a growing group of people heading towards the bridge, the gangs were gathering together on both sides and approaching the meeting place, no doubt all very pissed off at the other gang and looking for some serious revenge. It wasn't long before they started arriving. I took my normal form, as I didn't want to be identified as being with either of the two gangs, and they met in the middle with murderous intent. The one group, called themselves the Black Flames, asked the other group, calling themselves Blood Dragons, where their dogs were. The leader of the Black Flames, Jack, said he had no idea how they had gotten the dogs, but the Blood Dragons had better return them or it was going to get ugly. Stefan, the leader of the Blood Dragons, said they hadn't stolen the Black Flames' worthless mutts, and he wanted the Blood Dragons' dogs back immediately. Everyone there was getting both confused and angry, not sure who was telling the truth since both groups were adamantly denying involvement in the dog theft while just as adamantly accusing the other group. I stepped out between the groups, they looked at me as if I was mad, I asked if they had considered that neither of their gangs were responsible for the disappearance of the dogs. Jack asked what I was talking about, talk before dying, Stefan agreed, it was most likely the first time they had ever agreed on anything… Nomad said they were mistaken by blaming each other, Tigress said yeah, it was us who had stolen the dogs, and those dogs were now somewhere safe from the abuse they had been subjected to. Stefan said he knew an animal rights activist when he saw one, now we would be dog food for those poor innocent puppy dogs. Tigress said she had the perfect idea now, and we were all teleported… To the middle of a Roman type coliseum where gladiators of old fought epic battles to prove who was the strongest and the most skilled in the land. Now the coliseum was full of assholes and the three of us, we teleported to the best seat in the place which would be reserved for royalty. All of the gangsters down below were really confused and disoriented, they were looking around. So now Tigress got up and told all of them the rules. They would fight to the death, and the one survivor would be allowed to leave the coliseum alive. They didn't have any problems fighting, so they fought. Black Flames vs. Blood Dragons, there was a lot of violence, knives cutting, guns shooting, fists flying, any weapons they had on them for the fight at the bridge were being used here. After a brief but brutal fight, there were seven Blood Dragons left, including Stefan. Stefan said they had won, so let them out now. I said no, it wasn't over until there was only one survivor. They didn't want to fight each other. So we turned up the heat, literally. Now the Blood Dragons down there were bitching about the heat, about how it was unbearable, they were also getting cranky due to the heat. Really cranky… until a fight broke out, some of them still wanted to work together, others wanted to fight, a couple thought they were going to die due to the heat soon. Stefan tried to break up a fight between two of them, but was cranky himself… he got carried away and killed one of them, now they all got into a free-for-all, it ended when Stefan had the last of his pals pinned to the ground, he had a knife at the other guy's throat… The guy was pleading, "Don't do it, it's me, Richard, your brother!" Stefan said only one of them could leave, and he buried the knife in Richard's neck, Richard died with a last gurgling breath. Stefan stood up and looked at us, he was a bit cut and bruised, covered in blood that was mostly not his, and he said he was the winner, let him out. Tigress said of course. I didn't want to, Tigress said we had to keep our word… An exit opened and Stefan limped through it. All I heard was Stefan's screaming, and that was cut off by a bunch of barking and growling and snarling, I barely heard Tigress beside me, "Just beware of the dogs…" She laughed. Back at the door Stefan had left through, several pit bulls came into the arena. Tigress said they had wanted a little payback. She said they were ready to go join all of the other dogs now. I wondered how many dogs total we had brought home tonight… it seemed like a lot of them. I was thinking that as everything faded and I woke.
#16 My class is having a lesson, we're by a lake or something. Something about gummibears flying in the air. Also something about fish being thrown into the lake. Me and P need to practice something with the fish while a plane is flying over above us, ready to land on a track not far from where we are. The plane crashes, there's panic, half a plane and lots of fire. We rush to help, someone asks us how we're going to help, I reply "Well I guess we'll see" and shrugged. There is an unknown girl with a green jacket on the plane which is still on fire, her face is hidden by her hair. I yell for her to jump, she jumps and I catch her. The second she's safe, I move on. Apperantly, a few people from my class is there, on the plane (Maybe on the wing?) but I didn't try to help them, as I thought they looked safe enough. I helped another unknown girl exactly the same way as before, she was wearing a blue shirt and her face was also hidden. Now, the fire is sort of under control, and everyone has gotten out of danger. I walk into a room not far from the plane, where my classmates are hanging out. There's a fridge and a few sofas. A guy from my class and a girl, B and Z are talking about what happened, seems like they were actually on the plane. Z says they heard a crack before the plane crashed. B says nothing too bad happened, just a guy broke his leg. But I had seen people on fire. I'm following N over some fences, doing lazy vaults (parkour) over them. N says something to me, I reply in german trying to make a parody of Nightcrawler from X-Men 2. I feel like I need to see those two girls I helped, so I walk around a little aimlessly, trying to find them. There's those magnetic letters sticked to the fridge in that small room. A small boy wants to change the letters to his name. A woman helps him do it.
Note: Having not have accomplished any of my goals from last night, those goals just carried over to tonight aside from the fact Nomad warned of a Templar attack last night and there was no such warning about tonight. Unfortunately, I was not successful in entering a WILD… I was in a city, moving around amongst some buildings. It seemed I was in a neighborhood at the edge of a downtown area as there were both single family homes and a few tall buildings around. I was there with Tigress and MoSh, and we all had large caliber weapons with us. Since I'm not familiar with fire arms I'm not sure exactly what kind of gun I had, but I know there were shotgun shells involved… and another kind of bullet… my knowledge of guns stops with pointing them and pulling the trigger. >.< The reason for the weapons was quickly revealed as zombies came from around a corner and at us. As I said above, I know how to point a gun and shoot. So I did that and fired at the approaching zombies, aiming for the heads. The heads literally exploded as the bullets hit their mark. I found I was actually a better shot than I had realized, so far I hadn't missed a single shot. Tigress, MoSh, and I entered a tall building where we knew there were people trapped on an upper level. We had to fight our way through the building and up the stairwell to the tenth floor where the people were trapped. They had become trapped as they had been trying to escape, but the stairwell was completely blocked by zombies and they hadn't had enough ammunition to even try to get through. The three of us shot our way through the zombies until we got to the tenth floor door, then we went onto the floor. Someone pointed a gun at us, but then showed their obvious relief when they saw we weren't zombies. We told them that the path to the bottom floor was clear of zombies now so they could get out of the building and to the shelter. They quickly left. I wondered if there might be anyone else on the level, and apparently Tigress and MoSh had the same idea because they continued searching. I went with her to cover them and to help them look. Upon opening an office door I saw a man in the corner, crouched there with a clearly wounded leg, he raised his gun reflexively and fired. He saw we weren't zombies at the last minute and pulled the gun to the side, which caused him to shoot a golden retriever lying at his feet. He shot the dog three times before he stopped shooting, then yelled in horror and grief, and started sobbing over the dog. The dog was just injured, not dead, so I went over and healed the dog right away. The man had been bitten by zombies several times, and it was surely only a matter of time before he turned to a zombie. He said he knew that would happen and he wanted to die before he turned. I put a bullet in his brain before we took the dog and continued searching. There were only a couple zombies left wandering around on this level, and we quickly dispatched them. The dog searched out several more survivors in the building before we heard a loud roaring noise from up above. That sounded like our cue to get out of there. The rest of us went back down the stairwell and into the main lobby area. The survivors ran out the door and disappeared into the night, no doubt heading for the shelter, as the crashing sounds from above got louder and closer. The dog had its hackles raised and was snarling menacingly at the elevator door. With a loud crash and a blast of dust and debris a huge creature hit the bottom of the elevator shaft and crawled out… or at least part of it crawled out… this thing was like nothing I have ever seen before, it is really hard to even try to describe it. But as close as I can come, the thing coming out of the elevator shaft was like a long tentacle with a mouth in the end, that mouth was filled with razor sharp teeth, and it was pretty clear that the main mass of the monster was still partially up the elevator shaft… Well, no matter what the whole thing looked like, Tigress, MoSh and I opened all up on the thing with all the firepower we had, I found my gun also fired grenades as I shot the grenades up towards the damaged wall where the main mass of the creature would be. There were many explosions, I wasn't sure who had shot what, and finally there was a huge and messy explosion within the elevator shaft, the thing let out an unearthly screech of pain or anger or both… and then the entire building started to shake. Tigress, MoSh, and I barely got out of the building before it collapsed in a massive cloud of dust and debris. Now the three of us split up to search through the neighborhood for any other survivors. We stayed together for a while because the dog was leading us to everyone who needed help. As we found a few more dogs, we split up to search faster By the time we reached the other end of the neighborhood I alone had rescued 12 people, 15 cats, and 10 dogs. Somehow the cats and dogs knew to stay with me, and the three of us came back to the shelter being followed by all of these people and animals. The golden retriever with us seemed quite pleased with itself at having led us to all of those people and animals. I was petting some of the cats when I noticed everything seemed unstable, I was beginning to consider doing a reality check but I woke up before I could.

Note: I fell asleep with very little in the way of goals tonight… MoSh had said he was going to come over to do a healing on me, although I told him I felt ok. But then a little extra positive energy never hurts anything, so I figured if he wanted to do it, we could share some positive energy, most likely with Basara involved since he usually shows up whenever someone mentions the idea of healing. Unfortunately I was not successful in entering my WILD this night. I was in a clearing in a forest. I could see there were buildings around, it looked like a small town was hidden amongst the trees. I wondered where I was. I didn't even consider the idea I might be dreaming. I noticed that there were quite a few people around, and then I noticed they were Templars. What the fuck was I doing in a Templar base? I figured I didn't want to be there, so I went to leave. That was when I noticed there was a big guy on either side of me holding onto me tightly. Their grip was like iron, and I could not make them budge to get free. I was a prisoner of the Templars… that couldn't be good. I heard another Templar say they were ready. One of the big guys holding me forced me to the ground so that I was lying on my stomach with my face in the dirt. I felt someone lie a long wooden pole on my back, and I was quickly bound tightly to that pole. When the large Templars moved away from me I couldn't move at all except to turn my head and look around a bit. They turned me over onto my back and ripped my clothes off… I called them a bunch of fucking perverts. I was now naked and tied to a metal pole… I could hear people around me laughing and jeering. The Templars then stood the pole up and I realized I was bound approximately in the middle. I saw they had a fire ring in the middle of the clearing, a rather large one. It was long and fairly narrow, there was a rotisserie stand on each end of the fire circle, and a pan sitting on top of the wood that looked like it was there to catch the juices of roasting meat. It looked a lot like the picture here, except the pan was on permanent metal legs and the fire pit and pan looked long enough to accommodate a very large piece of meat… or a person… It was about then that I realized what they might be planning to do. Since I believed that was my waking life, this resulted in a feeling of ice cold fear at the pit of my stomach… I fought against my bonds, desperate to get away now, to avoid what it seemed they had planned. The bonds were too tight… I couldn't budge them even a millimeter. And my worst fear was confirmed when they carried the pole I was on over to the fire pit and placed it where the spit of the rotisserie would go with me hanging on it, looking down into the black pan. There was a quantity of grease in the pan, which was hardened right now. I was noticing every little detail… a fly stuck in the grease and trying to get free, but it was no more able to move than I was. Templars preparing to light the fire. This couldn't really be happening. I think I might have done a reality check if I could have even moved in order to do one… I found I kept repeating the word 'no' over and over, and I was ashamed of the fear I heard in my voice. Then I said there must be some agreement we could reach that would allow me to get out of this. A couple of them laughed. But one of them said there was. He said if I could present one of my friends to take my place, they would gladly roast up my friend instead of me and I would be free to go. One of my friends? He said yes. Any of them would do. Either Nomad or MoSh would be their first choices… but if I presented them one of the others I have shared dreams with it would be sufficient, too. Markus, Tigress, or even Loaf… someone laughed that they could have toast… just choose one and teleport them here and I would be free to go while my friend was executed in my place. I told them they had to be kidding… there was no way I would betray a friend like that… I knew perfectly well I could never live with betraying a friend in that way, so in spite of my fear I told them to go fuck themselves. The Templar said it was my choice, and told the other one to go ahead and light the fire under the pan. I didn't really notice anything at first. Then the pan was heated and it was getting a bit uncomfortable as the heat was rising off of the pan and into my face. The heat continued to increase, an intense and dry heat that made it feel almost like I was on fire. How long could this last? Wouldn't I get heat stroke and pass out from that heat before long? They let the fire die down a bit and the heat faded to a lower but continuous agony. For some reason it seemed to be imperative that I make no sound to let them know the pain I was in, so I kept my mouth tightly closed so I would not let an involuntary cry or moan or pain escape. I saw as the grease below me melted and the fly was consumed by the heating grease, killed. Another thought I was having was that the heat would burn through the ropes that bound me to the spit… then I could get free… but they were thick and sturdy ropes that didn't seem to be suffering from the exposure at all. A Templar came over and looked at me, then he poked something on my leg with a long fork, causing a sharp and excruciating pain… somehow I knew he had just popped a heat blister… that area of my leg was now in much more pain than the rest of me, and other parts of my body felt like they were beginning to blister, I could actually see a few blisters starting to form on my breasts… When would I finally get heat stroke and pass out?! Another short while… and several more popped blisters later… a Templar came back over. I was expecting another popped blister… but instead he had a cup, which he used to scoop some of the now sizzling grease out of the pan. He proceeded to pour the sizzling grease all over my back… where it burned unbelievably hot. The Templar poured a couple more cups of blazing hot grease on my back, laughing when I was unable to contain a cry of pain… these assholes were basting me! And even after he walked away, the grease on my back was continuing to cause an unbelievably intense agony… it seemed I would surely pass out, but somehow I didn't… even though I wished I would, prayed that I would pass out or die from heat stroke… Instead I just hung there in agony, all hope seemed lost… "Raven!" I heard a familiar voice and forced my head to turn, although that caused heat dried skin to crack and bleed, bringing with that another wave of pain… I someone standing off to my left a ways, and a portal opened behind him. My sight was fuzzy… I wasn't sure who it was… He continued talking. "It's time for… what the FUCK?!" Apparently he had taken a look around for the first time since arriving and noticed things were not as they should be. I wanted to call out to the man for help, but my throat was too dry and cracked to speak… and all that came out was a small squeak… As I have stated, my mind was really foggy from the heat and the pain, but I heard some cursing, a demand to release me, and then a fight. I saw movement to my right and the man who had just arrived shoved one of the Templar's faces into the hot grease in the pan below me. When the Templar's face came out it was covered with blisters and the Templar was screaming in pain. I heard more fighting, some Templars screaming about something… a loud hissing sound like an angry cat or snake… and then silence. The man from the portal returned. He took the spit I was tied to away from the flame and started untying me. Every time he touched me it was excruciating, but I did my best not to let him know that because I knew he was just trying to help. Once I was free I found I couldn't even stand on my own… my legs were about like spaghetti… The man supported me, holding on to me as gently as he could… I heard him say he would get me healed up as good as new. He could heal IWL? Wow… I wondered if there was any possible way I could get him to teach me to do that… but even if he couldn't, he had already done so much by getting me free of the Templars. He lied me down in a soft area of grass. Even as soft as it was, each blade of grass was like a steel blade cutting in to me… I once again did not let him know how much it hurt. He was trying so hard to be careful. The man sat down near me. I could hear him playing a guitar. I could feel healing energy come from that guitar. Soothing healing energy… it felt like a soothing healing salve had been applied to my entire body, and it felt wonderful. I tried to open my eyes and see who it was that had saved me… but I was so tired. Completely worn out. But he was playing a guitar to create a healing effect. I only know two people who do that. Basara and MoSh. And I couldn't see Basara shoving a Templar's face into burning grease under any circumstances, unless he had seen what they were doing and completely snapped, so I was assuming it was MoSh… I tried to ask the man if he was MoSh… "You… MoSh?" He didn't really answer that, he just told me to rest… when I fell asleep here I would wake up and be safe in bed. Safe in bed? Was this really just a nightmare? I let myself relax and slip into sleep. I could find out for sure later if it was MoSh who had come to find me. I fell asleep and woke up.
Note: This was a night of particularly low recall. I was not successful in my WILD, and I didn't really remember anything for the night until someone mentioned scorpions and that brought back memories of the following dream. So here is my single dream for the night… I was in a desert location. I wasn't lucid, but for some reason my first thought was of graboids from Tremors, and that led to thoughts of getting eaten by one… which didn't make a lot of sense at all. I pushed the thought out of my mind and looked around, not sure how I had gotten where I currently was. Great. I was lost. I was thinking I had taken a walk from my house and gotten completely lost, even though that has never happened. I usually have a really good sense of direction. I walked for a while. I saw some buildings in the distance. Not too far off. They looked like makeshift buildings made from scrap metal. I wondered if there was even anyone there. I wondered if the buildings were at least located on a main road where I could get my bearings… The entire situation seemed so weird that even though I didn't do a RC, I gained a low level of lucidity… I went over to the buildings and looked around. At first I didn't see any sign of anyone there, but then I heard people. So I had found someone. I wondered if they would know which way to the main road. I would have preferred to avoid them, but I saw no sign of a main road anywhere. The people were cheering and yelling, sounded like quite a party. But I also heard disappointed groans… I wondered what was going on. I followed the sound and looked out into a fenced area. In the middle of the fenced area there was a crowd of people gathered around something I couldn't see. They were the ones cheering and groaning. I saw money being exchanged. Most likely those who were cheering had won a bet, those groaning had lost a bet. There was a wide variety of people there, men and women, old and young, though there were no children, so I didn't see any problem with approaching them. When I got into the open, a woman spotted me and eagerly invited me over. "Come on over and join the fun!" she said, "Don't worry if you don't have any money… not everyone is here to place bets. Some of us are just here to enjoy the action." She seemed very friendly and welcoming, so I went over and joined the crowd to see what was going on. She indicated what looked like a miniature boxing ring. It was empty now. She said the next match was about to start. A path through the crowd cleared, and a couple men brought through cages. A rather attractive man with brown hair, and a bald one who had scars on his bald head. They put the cages in the ring and opened the doors with remote controls, then they removed the cages after the occupants of the cages had left. I did a double take… they were scorpions! Not normal small scorpions, but huge ones! Each scorpion was about the size of a Chihuahua! Both the scorpions seemed quite lazy and proceeded to lounge in different parts of the ring. Whatever action these people had expected wasn't going to happen. The men who had placed the scorpions in the ring didn't seem too pleased. They pulled out cattle prods and started shocking the scorpions, apparently trying to piss them off. Wtf? The scorpions were making loud squealing noises that sounded like pain… I asked no one in particular what those assholes thought they were doing. The woman who had invited me over apparently completely misunderstood my statement and said the shocks would get the critters to fight. People around me were starting to cheer and call out. I didn't like it, not at all. After a couple more shocks the scorpions did lash out at each other, being unable to get to their tormentors, who continued to prod the scorpions to urge them to keep fighting. I pushed my way to the front of the crowd near the attractive man. I grabbed the prod from him. He asked what the fuck I was doing. I asked him how the fuck he would like getting prodded… I poked him with the cattle prod. He jumped back at getting shocked. He grabbed at the cattle prod, but only succeeded in getting himself poked again. He was now cursing fluently at me. A couple men behind me grabbed my arms and the other man took the cattle prod back and proceeded to poke me with it a couple times. It didn't hurt, I just felt a tingly sensation… which wasn't unpleasant. He turned his attention back to the scorpions. The two men behind me were still holding my arms. I told the man with the cattle prod to stop doing that. The woman who had invited me over told me to relax, they don't feel pain like humans do… and they're just big bugs, so who cares, anyway? I was annoyed at her. I told her they are still living things. One of the men holding me said he had heard of animal rights activists, but bug rights activists? That was a new one on him… Everyone laughed and the two men pulled me out of the crowd and shoved me away, telling me to go cry over bugs somewhere else. Right after that, some of the people cheered and the others groaned, The two men carried the cages out. One was happy and praising his scorpion, while the other was cursing at his bug and saying he would have it chopped into food for his other scorpions. I followed the men, and they went into the same building. I slipped in before the door closed behind them and locked. It was oppressively hot in there. They put the cages in stacks and then went back outside. People outside were talking loudly and laughing. I heard them laughing at my expense, about how I had opposed abusing scorpions… There were stacks of cages. There were scorpions in all of them. I looked at the two just brought back. Injured scorpions, one near death. I healed them, told them I was there to help so don't go and sting me, then let them out. They quickly headed towards the door. I opened the door and let them out into the desert. I left the door open and opened the other cages, staying clear to avoid being stung. They all headed out to the desert. Some of them headed over towards the group of people. Their laughter turned into screams as they saw the scorpions were loose. There was also a lot of cursing. I looked out and saw people running off into the desert, a few of them trying to fend off scorpions with cattle prods… people getting stung. I wondered if I should feel bad for the people getting attacked… but I found that my 'give-a-damn' was thoroughly busted. I waited until the place was clear of scorpions, just to be sure they didn't mistake me for one of the people there to watch the fights, then I came out. There were a few people lying on the ground. Most weren't moving. A couple were writhing… they looked very sick… must be the venom. Maybe my 'give-a-damn' wasn't completely busted, since I found it rather disturbing when one of the women crawled over towards me, reached out towards me, "Please… help… me…" and then vomited blood before dying… um… maybe I should've stayed in the building… The other people around me who had been still moving were now also dead. There were dead people and blood everywhere, and I could hear people screaming in the desert at random intervals… were they still being attacked? And it was a bit disturbing… I didn't try to resist it when I felt that I was going to wake up.
… so I figured to open a portal to get MoSh and myself back to my inner world… where he said he would take a look at the locked book from the Akashic records to see if he could help me get it open… (Continued from last entry…) MoSh and I were in my inner world in my bedroom. I looked around and picked the book up off of my chest of drawers. I looked at the book for a couple of minutes. I remembered that MoSh and Tigress have said they would help me figure out how to open the book. I handed it to MoSh, and he looked at it for a few minutes. He set it on the bed and pointed at it with his pinky. I wasn't sure what he was trying to do, but I left him to do that. Tigress had also said she would help… but she wasn't here. Maybe I should go find her. I was thinking about finding Tigress when I felt like I was going to wake up. But I didn't want to wake up yet, I was on a roll with this nice long WILD. I wanted to know how long I could make it. Wait… it was another goal of mine to attempt time dilation. I would do that quickly before I woke, and maybe I would be able to extend the dream! My plan was to try Allura's method of time dilation. I figured MoSh would try Walms' method, and then we could determine which one works best. I figured I would have to try both to find which one works better for me… but for now, Allura's method. Her method starts with visualizing or summoning a normal analog clock, a digital one will do no good. So I focused on that clock. Soon I could see the clock clearly in my mind. I didn't figure there was any need to summon one, actually I thought that might make it harder. The next step is to increase the amount of time that will fit on the clock by compressing all 12 hours into half the space, then filling the empty half with 13 through 24. At this point the clock displays twice as much time as is normally displayed on it. The resultant clock will look like the 24 hour clock shown here. Since 24 hours are now compressed into the space normally used by 12, this works out to a time dilation of 2 hours of dream time for each 1 hour of IWL time. I focused on using this technique, first vividly visualizing the 12 hour clock and then gradually compressing the time on the clock until it was a 24 hour clock. I continued compressing time until 48 hours fit on the clock. That should be 4 hours of dream time for every hour of IWL time. I didn't know for sure if it was working, but I did notice that the dream had stabilized. So maybe that meant I could call the time dilation of this dream a success? Either way, this dream was going to continue. Since Tigress had offered to help me with the locked book, my next thing to do would be to find her. I focused on opening a portal to find Tigress. A portal opened. I went to tell MoSh I was going to find Tigress, but MoSh was gone. The book was still on the bed, still locked. I wondered if MoSh had woken up. I wondered if he had discovered anything before waking up… I figured I would have to wait until the next morning and find out if he remembered anything. I went through the portal I had opened to find Tigress… On the other side of the portal I was in a green field. There was a fight going on not far from us. There were a bunch of people dressed in red robes fighting another person… it looked like one person against a large number. I wondered what was going on there, and I also noticed the single person seemed to be winning. I headed closer to the fight to see if I could figure anything out. I saw that I recognized the single fighter. It was a woman who looked like a paladin from the Dungeons and Dragons Online game, and I recognized that paladin! It was Tigress! Ok, it appeared that if I wanted Tigress' help with anything I would have to help her out first. This looked like the making of a DDO adventure, so I really wanted her to remember this one. I went over to Tigress, and called to her. She briefly noted me, and continued fighting. I formed Witchblade into a sword and attacked the enemies. I wasn't sure why they were fighting, but I figured Tigress' enemies were my enemies. I engaged the enemies, fighting with my Witchblade sword, blocking attacks, cutting enemies down all around me… with both Tigress and me fighting, it didn't take long before the entire enemy force was taken down. A few remaining enemies fled across the field to a forest. I put my Witchblade sword away and greeted Tigress. I asked her if she was lucid. She said it was finally happening, we were sharing a DDO dream. I agreed that was awesome… what's the quest? She said that there were some people being held captive in the mountain dungeon, and our quest was to rescue them. I said that sounded like a good quest to me! Tigress and I headed across the field towards a mountain. I could see a cave in the mountain, and that was no doubt our destination. Tigress and I reached the cave entrance in short order. Sure enough, there were more red robed people inside the cave. They were guarding a locked door, but once we killed them, we found a key on one of them and were able to get inside the cave. Beyond the door it was more of a dungeon than a normal cave. There were long halls and large chambers. There were enemies all around, and they all attacked us on sight. Some of them attacked with melee weapons such as swords and maces, others attacked us with projectile weapons such as arrows and darts, and there were even some that were attacking us with energy attacks. We fought the enemies, taking them out quickly as we progressed through the caverns. We searched the underground complex for a while and finally found the entrance to the main dungeon. There were more enemies down there, of course, and there were numerous prison cells. We killed the enemies that waited for us there, and then investigated the prison cells. In each of the prison cells there was a single prisoner. The prisoners were humanoid in form, covered with fur, had fluffy tails, and there was a flap of skin between their arms and their legs that looked kind of like the 'wings' of a flying squirrel. The prisoners were all chained and hanging upside down from the ceiling, dangling about a foot off of the floor. They looked badly beaten, badly injured. It looked like they had been beaten, burned, cut… Allison and I got the prisoners down by cutting through their chains. I did a healing spell on the injured prisoners, and then they were ok to get themselves out of the dungeon. We assured them all the enemies in the upper chambers were dead, and the prisoners headed for the exit. We finished releasing all of the prisoners in the prison cells. We went into the next room and found a nightmare… In the next room there were more enemies, and they had several prisoners in that room, too. One of the enemies had a prisoner tied to a spit and had them hanging over a fire. He was rotating the spit around as if cooking a chunk of meat, but the prisoner tied to the spit was still alive, and already showing signs of serious burns all over her body. Another enemy had a prisoner chained to the wall and was whipping the prisoner violently, blood spraying off with every lash. A third prisoner was chained to a concrete slab and covered with blood, there were several rats chewing on the prisoner's body… a fourth had a noose around her neck and was positioned so her toes barely touched the ground… so as long as she could stand on her toes she would be able to avoid strangling to death… There were four enemies standing around, and they attacked us on sight. We had to fight those four enemies and then the ones who had been torturing the prisoners. We freed and then healed the prisoners, who then headed for the surface, leaving the dungeon quickly. Tigress and I were now in the torture chamber alone, only dead bodies were there now. I felt like I should be looking for a reward chest and then recalling back to the surface… but this wasn't an actual DDO game! Tigress looked around one more time, apparently making sure that we hadn't missed anything. She came back over to me. I asked if she was going to remember this dream. She said we were playing DDO. I said yeah, but we were playing DDO in a dream. So she would have to remember the dream when she woke up. She said she would remember this when she logged off. Logged off? I repeated that it wasn't a game… it was a dream. She said she was going to log off now. She disappeared. Wtf? She must have woken up… crap. I started feeling like I was waking up… but I could dilate time! I didn't have to wake up at all, or at least not until I was good and ready to! I could spend as long as I wanted in a dream! I tried to focus on Allura's method of time dilation again, but between the excitement at the idea I could stay in a dream as long as I wanted and the fact I was already in the process of waking up, I was not able to focus and I woke.
Note: I have never actually been to Houston, but the pattern of my dream and what I saw fit pretty close to the paths I have marked on these Google Earth maps. It was a very vivid dream and I remembered it very clearly. I was sitting on the couch watching some kind of documentary on television. I watched it for a few minutes and realized it was about pilots involved in stressful situations such as equipment failure, bad weather landings, etc. They showed an airliner flying toward Houston. The plane was flying over thick clouds. It was a very calm scene, nothing seemed to be wrong there. I got closer to the television and touched the screen. My hand moved through the screen and into the show… uh… well, this should have been good reason for a RC, but instead I thought this was just a new form of interactive television. I pushed my way into the television and the next thing I knew I was flying outside in the air, keeping up with the airliner with no difficulty, and approaching Houston. The clouds below were what represented the dangerous situation for the pilot of the plane. The plane started to slowly descend through the clouds. I followed suit. I slowly descended into the clouds. This dream was so very vivid that I could feel the small beads of moisture that the cloud was made of. They were cool on my face and exposed arms. I was surrounded by fluffy whites and grays. I lost track of the plane in the clouds. As I descended down below the clouds I could feel larger drops of water. Now I was out of the clouds and into the rain. It was raining rather hard in Houston. The rain sprayed my face and arms, and it still felt good. I was thinking I had just come from a baking hot Arizona day into this pleasant rain storm, of course it felt good to me. I was able to pick up following the plane again. It headed in towards the Houston International Airport… which I looked up and found it to be called the George Bush International Airport… The plane circled the airport a few times and then came in for a careful landing. I didn't see any sign of problems at all. I wondered why that should've been stressful… but then again, I hadn't been on the plane. They might have had equipment failure along with the storm. After the plane came to a complete stop at one of the gates, I got bored of watching the planes and flew off in what I felt was north or north west. I flew in and around some small buildings, not sure what they were. I was just flying in the rain and having fun. The rain was beginning to slow down a bit now. My flight path carried me over an intersection where there was a rail road crossing. As I flew down over the intersection I saw a car in the middle of the tracks. Both of the gates were down, and the car wasn't moving. There was a train approaching in the distance. Now if that wasn't just a Murphey's Law moment… I landed near the car and looked over. There was a woman in the car trying in vain to start it. Ok… a cliché moment of a car getting stuck on railroad tracks with a train coming… and now the driver was really going to be too retarded to get out and just abandon the car to save her own life? She finally got out of the car as the train approached. I thought she had finally gotten a brain, but she instead went to the back seat and started struggling with something. What was going on? I went over to her and told her she had better get out of the way… a train was coming… She said she knew, but her baby was stuck in the car. Wtf? I looked in the car. There was a kid in a car seat. The kid was securely strapped into the car seat. The mother was struggling with the belts holding the car seat into the car and the belts holding the child in the seat. None of them wanted to come free. I reached into my pocket and pulled out my knife, popped it out, and cut several of the belts quickly… and then the mom took the child out. We both got out of the path of the train just before it plowed into the car with a loud CRASH! The car was dragged a short distance down the tracks and then tossed aside, a total wreck. The woman didn't seem to be able to stop thanking me over and over again. She wanted to know who I was because she said everyone would know me as a hero… but I don't want to be known by anyone… so I took to flight and left her standing there in the rain with her kid. I flew north, following some kind of a highway, the rain slowed to a stop. The air was still cool and crisp. I flew a good distance. I flew until I saw smoke that was not too far off. I headed in that direction, which involved turning to my left for a while. I flew over a lake, and then there was an area of forest. In the area of forest there was a fire raging. I wondered how the fire had gotten started. A bolt of lightning? I hadn't seen any lightning… a careless camp fire or a carelessly disposed of cigarette butt? Maybe, but with it being so wet I didn't see how the fire could have gotten started. Arson? Maybe, but why? I figured it didn't matter how the fire had gotten started… I was going to check it out and figure out how to help stop it. I flew down to an area not far from the fire. There were animals fleeing the site of the fire. I was hovering over them as they headed away from the fire as quickly as they could go. I could also see the fire approaching. I saw some animals had gotten trapped by the fire… I didn't want them to get burned. I flew in and grabbed a few small animals and got them to safety… but there were animals too big for me to lift. Deer… there were several deer… I flew back and lifted a fawn. It was surprisingly easy to lift. I took the baby deer to safety. I lifted mom… also surprisingly easy… and dad… a sizable buck… also easy to carry… I moved some more animals out, snakes, squirrels, deer… some animals I don't remember what they were, a few of which were rather ugly… but this wasn't helpful… the fire would still catch up soon… getting rid of the fire was the main goal. I wondered how that could be done. I landed near the lake. I could still see the fire from there. If only I could move water as easily as I moved the animals… I tried to lift up a section of water… and it worked. The water lifted in a small sphere. I did only a brief double take (and no RC) before gathering a much larger sphere of water and carrying it to the site of the fire. I dropped the huge sphere of water over the fire. The sphere immediately broke apart and doused the fire in a huge puff of steam. It never occurred to me that I was dreaming… I thought this was easily explained by the fact I had finally developed my telekinetic powers. That was enabling me to fly, enabled me to lift heavy animals, and transport water. I was flying away from the site of the fire when I woke.
Note: Still no luck with my WILD attempts. I am not sure why that is happening so rarely now when it used to be so common. I had one primary goal for this night, and that was to track down Asuka and bring her home. Q found a fake Asuka in MoSh's inner world, so the only conclusion, or most likely conclusion, is she was kidnapped. Other than that there is my usual list of goals… I was lying on the living room couch. My mother woke me up. She said I had slept through half the movie. She suggested I go to bed if I was that tired. I told her I didn't feel tired. She said if I wasn't tired, I wouldn't have slept through so much of the movie. I thought a minute and realized I couldn't even remember what movie we had been watching… ok… she must be right. I must be tired, even if I didn't feel it… or maybe the nap had been all I needed. I got up from the couch and went into my bedroom. Something didn't look right there… there was a desk with a desktop computer on the far side of the room. I thought there shouldn't have even been room for that desk… I did a reality check… and found I was dreaming! Now fully lucid, I focused on remembering my goals. Asuka! Yes, I had to help MoSh get Asuka back. I used my bedroom door as a portal for a change of pace, and I opened it and walked through into MoSh's inner world. I turned around just in time to see the doorway behind me fold up on itself until it became too tiny to see… and it was gone. I looked around for MoSh. I saw I was standing in the living room of his house. MoSh looked over at me. He said he had been wondering if I wasn't going to make it. I said I had, and now we had better get going. No time to lose in getting Asuka back. I was pretty sure I already knew where she was, but I figured I would let my tracking guide my portal anyhow… just on the off chance we were wrong about who had taken her. I focused on opening a portal and on finding Asuka. A portal opened, MoSh and I went through it… On the other side of the portal we were in a strange place. It looked rather nice. There was a swimming pool there, and it was a beautiful pool. There were several women with perfect bodies lying out on lounges sunbathing and a few more in the pool. I briefly felt ashamed of my large belly and second chin before I reminded myself that it is a dream, and in dreams I have neither of those. There was a man standing on the patio surveying the scene, practically drooling over the women in the pool. He looked like a faker biker, dressed in leather, but somehow it looked like he was trying so hard to look cool that he really just wound up with an epic fail. I knew who that was, it was L. I also saw there was one woman sitting on a chair on the patio, she didn't look happy to be there. That was Asuka. I went over to Asuka. I hadn't even reached her before L spotted me and seemed pleased. He said there is always room for one more bathing beauty in his place… I saw in my reflection that I suddenly had on a string bikini that left little to the imagination. I was about to curse at L, but I got distracted admiring how nice my dream body looks compared to my waking body. L told me to help myself to a drink at the bar or dive into the pool, the water was always the perfect temperature. Wait a minute… I wasn't there for a pool party… "Asuka," I said, "I have come to take you home." "She is very happy here," L said, "Now go ahead and enjoy yourself. Don't worry about the others." "I think Asuka can answer for herself," I said to L, I was a bit annoyed, "Asuka? Let's go home. MoSh is worried about you." Asuka looked up at me with a rather blank look on her face. She stared at me for a few minutes before she finally answered. She said she didn't want to go back. She said she wouldn't force herself on MoSh any longer. I asked what she was talking about. She said she knew everything now. She MoSh doesn't want her back. She said he had willingly turned her over to L, not once, but twice. He had willingly given up to L in a contest where she was the prize, and then when he had the choice between her and the alternate Asuka, he had chosen the other one. She said he had been hoping she wouldn't survive the battle to get her flame back. He had been counting on her dying so he could have the better version of her. She said she understood why. She said he had tried to, but he had never been able to forgive her for lying to him. Right now this was the only place she belonged. I noticed that the whole time Asuka was talking she basically showed no emotion. It was as if she was rehearsing a script. I had no doubt in mind that L had put those exact lines into her head. L said the fact MoSh had sent me to get Asuka and hadn't come to get her himself. Wait a minute… MoSh had been with me to come get Asuka… where was he? Had he woken up? This wasn't a good time to wake up… I looked around and headed back in the direction I had come from. I reached the place where I had entered through the portal. I looked around. I saw MoSh. He had wandered off in the other direction. Wtf? I went over to him and asked what he was doing. He looked over at me. He looked a bit puzzled. I asked if he was even lucid. He looked at me. He looked at his hands. He pointed at me with his pinky… and then announced I was real. "No shit, Sherlock," I said, "Now let's go get Asuka." MoSh was wanting to know if Asuka was ok. I said she was fine apart from the lies L had been filling her head with… which he hadn't been there do dispute just now… MoSh followed me over to the pool, seeming much more alert and lucid. Asuka was still sitting in the same chair. L was watching me bring MoSh back. He didn't seem overly concerned about that. I wondered if he had a plan up his sleeve. I figured it didn't matter. Whatever his plan was, it wouldn't work. MoSh saw Asuka and went over to her and said he was there to take her home. She started repeating the rehearsed lines she had given me. MoSh interrupted her before she was done. He said none of that was true. After MoSh's protest, Asuka just continued with her lines. I told MoSh I was sure she was under the influence of mind control. I would have to break the control. "Breaking the silence of the night, can't you hear me screaming?" I focused on the song Breaking the Silence by Queensrÿche, "I look for your face in the neon light, you never answer… I could make all the wrong seem right if you were by my side, I'd gather all the tears you cried and hide them deep underground!" The song played through. L's certainty that we wouldn't be able to do anything to get through to Asuka seemed to be wavering. The song had its effect on Asuka. Her eyes cleared, and she looked over at MoSh. She looked on the verge of tears. She looked at me and then at MoSh. She said everyone kept saying MoSh hated her now. "That…" Asuka stammered, "That's not true, is it?" "Come on, Asuka," MoSh said, "You know I love you!" Asuka got up, looked a bit dizzy, and walked towards MoSh in an unsteady manner. She looked kind of drunk. "Why don't you two just go home?" L said, "Asuka wants to be here with me. Although Raven, if you want to have a swim you are certainly welcome to stay…" "I'd sooner swim in a sewer than in a pool with you," I said, "And if Asuka wants to stay with you, why does she look like she's about to puke?" I used Master of Puppets on L. If he is so fond of mind control, let's do a little on him. "Master of puppets is pulling your strings, twisting your mind and smashing your dreams, blinded by me you can't see a thing, just call my name, I'll hear you scream! Master! Master!" I ordered L to release Asuka. He did. She came over to MoSh. L snapped out of the mind control, I hadn't meant for it to last very long. He got mad at MoSh and me for forcing him to do things against his will. He said no one forces him to do anything! He is his own man and… "And there is an alien pulling your strings," MoSh said. He created a hologram of the alien in this picture. "It's a Reptilian, or a Draconian… and I saw one of them draining your energy. L looked at the picture briefly, having been completely interrupted from his yelling at MoSh and me. He looked at the hologram, then at MoSh, at the hologram, at MoSh… "Are you on drugs?" he asked MoSh, then he looked at me, "He's on drugs, isn't he?" I didn't really have a chance to answer. MoSh was answering. "I saw it," MoSh said, "It was draining your energy. It is controlling your every move. Maybe that's why you're such an ass." "You're making excuses for me being an ass?" L asked, sounding thoroughly confused, "Now there's a new one. Now why don't you just leave these two lovely ladies here with me, and go on your pathetic way?" "I'm not staying with you," Asuka said, "Go back to your stupid DC bimbos," she looked at me, "They are all DCs, you know. Just illusions. He couldn't get the attentions of a real woman if he paid her…" "And if I have to look at your face for one more second," I told L, "I think I'll vomit. So we'll all be going. Have fun with your DCs… which is like using blow-up dolls, right? So have fun with your blow-up dolls." I opened a portal to get us all back to MoSh's inner world. The three of us went through. On the other side of the portal, we were all in the yard in front of MoSh's house. I closed the portal before L could consider following us. MoSh had his arms around Asuka, who seemed happy to be there. I was going to ask if Asuka was ok. I didn't have a chance to say anything.
Morning of May 19, 1969. Monday. My best friend Toby T and I rescue Brenda W (a female friend and classmate) from a burning building in Arcadia. (There does not seem to be any back story - my dream seems to start as we are already grabbing Brenda and fleeing the scene without the otherwise extensive fire being very close to us.) As we are running, the scene becomes very vivid (about as vivid as a dream can get - but it is then as if I am seeing myself from in front of the scene, I on her right, Toby on her left - we both have a strange look of surprise on our faces when kissed, though my expression seems happier than Toby’s, his being more of a confused nature). She kisses us both on the cheek as we are running and holding her arms, saying “You boys are wonderful!” (the sound being very clear and vivid here) I clearly see both her left and right profiles during this time as my dream becomes lucid but only upon awakening. (Fire has a tendency to increase both vividness and sometimes lucidity - its glow actually “lighting up” the dream in most cases.) Although it seems to be a wooden house and slightly like Brenda’s, it also seems we are in the southwest area of the West Elementary school grounds, the house being farther northwest as we flee towards the southeast where the playground is in reality. (The actual area is not that open or expansive.) This is the original dream journal title from age eight (which was never changed when copying to newer journal pages). In real life, Brenda lived north of me on Highway Seventeen in Cubitis; not in Arcadia as here in-dream. This time period had me more closely thinking of the different types of dream perspectives, such as the unusual differences between dream sections where you are fully in-body (such as how this started out) to either where you see yourself (as if disembodied) or not directly “in” the dream at all. This dream was possibly influenced by the fact that there was a very large house fire just north of my home, though not near Brenda’s house. Brenda was later validated as a common stand-in archetype for the (precise precognitive) “mystery girl” (wife-to-be), also included in “mystery girl” three-way composites. Here, however, there is nothing significant to indicate or validate her status as such. This dream also occurred before she ever kissed me in real life (she never kissed Toby as far as I know), though I certainly would not call that precognitive.
Morning of June 9, 1968. Sunday. It is early morning with full daylight, perhaps a couple hours after sunrise. Brenda and Tina are standing atop the roof of a car. The car is parked near a small unknown rural home and it seems to be in the backyard, although there is some ambiguity that implies it might be the main entrance. The car is parked sideways near the back door about ten feet away and facing towards an unknown perpendicular unpaved back road. Brenda and Tina are holding each other closely and quivering in fear, being afraid to come down from atop the car, but also afraid of several buzzards flying and circling above. (I also get a brief vague impression of Carol Burnett and Lucille Ball in the same scenario as children.) There is an outside area adjacent to the back of the house (left of the door when outside) where chopped logs are kept and I also see a wooden shelf (also left of the back door) with small piles of straw. I think the car may belong to my sister Carol (half-sister on my mother’s side) and Verdell. The house seems to be a unique composite (with front yard and backyard ambiguity) of the back of my family’s previous home in Mohawk Valley in Wisconsin and the front of our house at North Monroe Street in Florida. I boldly manage to calmly talk the two girls down from the roof of the car and get them to come with me into the house through the back door so that they are out of danger. Looking back as we are entering the house, I see buzzards now atop the car but they do not acknowledge us in any way. Notes compiled from previous lifelong records on June 19, 2017: Roles: Brenda, close friend, neighbor, and schoolmate, is my emergent consciousness factor. Tina, schoolmate (Brenda’s friend in real life, though somewhat snobbish towards me), is my personified preconscious, atypically passive here. The buzzards are this dream’s liminal space waking symbolism and are the more dominant preconscious factor. Coalescence waking readiness: Coalescence, here modeled by Brenda and Tina hugging (prior to their return to my own dream body) is very common waking symbolism that represents the personified preconscious and emergent consciousness uniting and returning to whole consciousness (and the current conscious self identity). (Coalescence usually results in a much softer awakening than with dreams such as “The Buzzard’s Beak”, which had an extreme hypnopompic back spasm waking event.) This common dream component has been validated as such in thousands of my dreams to date. The parked car represents my physical body’s sleep cycle and the potential change in circadian rhythms in early morning. Getting Brenda and Tina to come down from the top of the car (a potential falling factor, biologically premonitory of a hypnopompic jerk and redundant to the additional flight symbol of the circling buzzards above) is a deliberate but subliminal dream cessation precursor. The presence of the sawn logs may be a second-level dream sign based on having heard my brother-in-law Bob talk about “sawing logs” as a sleeping metaphor (in reference to snoring). The straw may also be a second-level dream sign, relevant to the phrase “hitting the hay”, especially as it is on a shelf (potentially analogous to a bed and “on the shelf” as inactive or asleep). Dream signs do not usually have additional meanings but are just residual threads of being unconsciously aware of being asleep (though not implying any active awareness of being in the dream state, though non-lucid dream control is common for me). No setting (other than primarily featureless liminal space) has ever appeared more than once in a dream with the same detail. In this case, the composite is ambiguous. It is also common for presently known females to appear in homes from my past where they had never been in reality, especially my wife Zsuzsanna, who often appears in my dreams of past houses I have lived in where she has never been in reality (and in fact, she has never even been to America). Why I dream primarily of females in this way is likely a biological factor. Additionally, with certain dream types, there are no males (other than myself). The ambiguity of the vague memory of the actresses in the same scenario is not an actual dream character change (as sometimes occurs) though may still be a result of an unremembered reset, possibly due to my unconscious transmuting the original scenario to be more personal, though this is certainly not a consistent factor. Validated personal dream meanings: Features in my dreams related either to flight or non-flight (in the sense of a flightless bird or failed flight scenario) are linked, in a biologically premonitory sense, to subliminal anticipation of the hypnopompic jerk. This waking symbolism has been validated as such thousands of times throughout my fifty years of devoted dream study. Regarding such waking symbolism, there may or may not be additional meanings relevant to my current conscious self’s identity, although mostly only inclusive of precognitive threads, literal or based on precise imagery with too much detail or layered factors such as could not occur by chance. First-level flight symbols have occurred in over twenty percent of my tens of thousands of documented dreams to date, making it one of my most common forms of waking symbolism.

Night of November 19, 1971. Friday. Dream #: 1,796-02. Reading time: 1 min 40 sec. While in the Cubitis house’s living room, I hear on my mother’s radio (her pale green one that was sometimes atop our refrigerator) about a twister approaching from the west. I am concerned that Brenda does not know about it. I plan to go to her house to get her so that we can escape from it. (I do not see or consult my parents even though I am only ten years old, though this was typical in my childhood dreams.) As with the majority of my dreams, features are incorrect without my dream self’s realization that they are. In this case, Brenda’s house is incorrectly east of my house (where the cow pasture is in real life) rather than north of it. Also, Arcadia is east of my home rather than south. As the tornado is approaching, I go into Brenda’s house without knocking and say hello to her. (Neither her parents nor brothers are present.) We are suddenly in her kitchen. She looks annoyed with me and moves around a table to avoid me. I convince her of the danger, and she happily comes with me. We manage to avoid the tornado. It is seemingly a result of running in specific directions and being in particular places for a time, even though we seem to backtrack at times. In the last scene, we are sitting at a big water fountain in an unknown city that seems to be a newly built resort. (The twister had supposedly destroyed it, but it was somehow quickly rebuilt while we were traveling. The tornado was there before us even though we were running from the opposite direction). We eat sandwiches that had been in transparent sandwich bags (that it seems we were carrying even though this backstory did not have a foundation) and smile happily in the knowledge the worst is over. I have a vague sense we may be near Disney World. (It would be in a different location in reality as it seems we are not that far east of my house.) My dream coincided with the opening of Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground in Orlando, Florida. I might have heard about it, so I am uncertain if it was a precognitive factor. The fountain and surrounding area now make me think of one of the first public places I went with my wife Zsuzsanna in Brisbane in 1994. It was like in my dream and with the same cheerful essence when I was with Zsuzsanna.
