    1. Lucid Dream: Grabbing myself through a mirror

      I did WBTB with a little B6....

Lucid Dream with Advanced Task attempted:

I was in my church. I had just tripped over a ironing board that an older lady was using to iron her clothes. It suddenly seemed weird to me. I said to her, "This is just like something that would happen in my dreams."

As soon as I said that I knew I was dreaming. I remembered the Advanced Task of Pulling my reflection out of a mirror. I looked around for a mirror. The only thing that came close was a picture hanging on the wall. The glass was very refective. I figured that this would count.

I looked at my reflection. At first I could see an older man with grey hair. I didn't think this was any good, so I got closer to try to make it look more like myself.

This time I saw myself. I had shorter hair that was slightly curly and I was wearing some strange black and white patterned shirt. But I decided that would work for me.

I reached out my hand. It bumped the glass. I tried again--and once more it couldn't get throught the glass.

I thought, "Shoot, this isn't working. I need to think of something totally different to make this work."

I wonderded if it would count if instead of pulling my reflection out of the mirror if I could join it on the other side.

I figured it would count as the goal seemed to be to just end up on the same side of the glass as the reflection.

I backed up from the mirror and took a run at the picture. As I got close I jumped and dove straight into the picture. I went right through the glass and rammed right into the "me" on the other side. As I did I grabbed tightly onto my other self. I didn't want myself to get away. But as we fell and landed on the floor with a thud, it was too much. I woke up.

      LUCID DREAM...

I'm glad to see that I am finally finally starting to use flying as a dream sign that actually triggers lucidity. Flying is so common in my dreams that I have seldom recogized it as anything strange enough to trigger lucidity. But maybe I'm finally starting to catch on.

I'm flying through the house. I end up in my bedroom which looks like a mix between my current bedroom and my parents bedroom in the house I grew up.

As I fly into the room, I suddenly realize that if I am flying it means that it is a dream. For some reason, though I think that I am having this dream while taking a nap.

I fly across the room to my big mirror which is now where my window really is. I look at my reflection. I'm wearing a cream colored tank top and some very short shorts of the same color. The shirt is also short so I can see a strip of my stomach. My hair looks perfect and I feel very pretty.

I look down and see my camera. I decide to take a picture. [I feel that I lost a bit a lucidity here--whiy else would I waste time taking a picture that I would never see].

As usual in my dreams, my camera had strange settings. I couldn't figure it out.

Finally my lucidity grew stronger again and I decided that there were tasks that I wanted to try.

I looked in the mirror one last time and saw that I looked terrible. My hair was all frizzy. I didn't want to look anymore at the mirror.

So I went on. I decided I wanted to try putting my finger through the wall again. I stuck it out and it banged into the hard wall. I immediately gave that up and decided to go on to the next thing.

I asked myself what day of the week it was...and again, without hesitation I said "Friday".

I thought about trying to determine my position of my physical body in my bed, but I couldn't sense anything.

Then I remembered that I wanted to see if I could find my sleeping body. SInce I was in my bedroom I looked down onto my bed hoping that my body would be there. Unfortunately all I saw was my unmade bed.

I looked away and decided to try again. But I just saw the same thing. I thought about trying to fly somewhere different to find it, but I then decide to look one more time into the mirror and have some fun warping my reflection.

When I first look in the mirror I look normal, then I open my mouth to look at my teeth because I know from experiece that teeth are easy to mess with.

At first I see that I have two brown teeth. As I look closer I can see that some of my teeth are rather pointy, and that I have braces on. I also notice that the brown looks like chocolate smeared on my teeth.

It was at this point that the dream started to fade.
    3. Task of the Month--Ridding Island of Snakes/Mirror

I just did the Advanced Lucid Task!

It started off in an elementary school. I went outdoors with another teacher and a group of kids to get something. We went out across the street and I noticed a big storm coming in. It hit us with a sudden fury. I thought that that was very unusual. I looked up at the clouds and noticed that I could see a funnel cloud starting to form.

Again that hit me as strange since we don't normally get tornados where I live. Then I thought, "Could this be a dream." It actually took a few seconds before I was totally convinced. I decided to try to fly. I almost was doubting that I could because this dream felt very real-life. But I jumped a couple of times and then took off into the sky.

I immediately remembered what I was supposed to be doing. I flew into some clouds, and when I flew out I could see the ocean ahead. I flew out over the ocean and came to the closest thing to an island. It was a long string of rocks and boulders sticking up out of the ocean. I looked around. I really wanted to have CoLd BlooDed, Ranma, and Oneironaut show up and help me with this since we had been talking about it. But I could see no people.

The boulders were covered with an abundance of animal life. I was in a hurry to get started because when I had the dream last night I woke up before I even got a chance to land on the island.

I swooped down and grabbed the closest animal--a sea turtle--and flung it as far as I could into the ocean. Then I moved on and grabbed some otters and also flung them out into the ocean. I moved along as quickly as I could flinging all manner of sea animals back out into the ocean.

Then I suddenly stopped and thought, "Wait, something is not right here. Snakes....I need to be getting rid of the snakes, not otters and marine iguanas.

I looked around again and saw a couple of cobras in the rocks. I grabbed them by their tails and swung them out into the ocean."

I flew along the rocks until I was sure that there were no more. And I was confident that I had rid this small chain of rocky islands from all snakes.

I had totally forgotten in my haste that I had planned ahead of time to use my "mind powers" to get them off the island. But I seemed to get the job done regardless.

Now my lucid dream goes on, but it gets a little weird.

I transistioned and was suddenly flying around inside a very large church. I was flying over people's heads, but wasn't paying them any attention since I knew that they weren't real.

I came to a very large reflective glass window. I looked at my reflection. I took note of what I was wearing. I had on a really strange outfit. I had on a whilte blouse and over that I had on a white tank top with a light green camo tank top. I was also wearing a white, almost see through white skirt.

I thought it was really the ugliest outfit I could possibly be wearing. I decided what I really wanted to be wearing was a pink bikini. I tried to make myself instantly be wearing the bikini. I couldn't do it. But I knew if I took off my other clothes, that I would have the bikini on underneith.

I must have felt like I was in a big hurry in my dreams, because I didn't just take my clothes carefully off--I ripped them off. And sure enough, there was my cute pink bikini that I had wanted. I looked at my reflection and thought I looked good. I am embarrassed to write this but after looking at myself for a minute, I decided to take the bikini top off and see how I looked. I did, and looked at myself and thought that I looked the same as in real life. And I'm going to have to stop here....sorry......

      Note:

I had awakened at three in the morning. I got up for about an hour, took 50 mg of B6, then went back to be and half-heartedly tried to WILD. I had the Task fully on my mind as I fell back to sleep. And it worked.

    4. Backwards Dimensions

      Backwards Dimensions

I was with a group of friends and we didn't have a place to live so we decided to stay the night in the old house where I used to live. I was creeped out just being there, but I didn't tell the others why. I kept seeing things in the corner of my eyes and kept getting weird vibes. The house was a mixture of the old house in its original form and the new house.

Everyone had gone to bed but I was still awake. I went to the kitchen. Here I just decided to become lucid. More often than not, I already just know that I am dreaming but I don't really care enough to change the scene.

I was standing across the kitchen counter. It was night outside. I was holding a gun, and I don't know why. I wanted one last confirmation that it was a dream, however, if I had even a doubt that it was a dream I would have never performed this action.

I took my gun and then shot the window twice. I looked away and looked back. My suspicions were validated when I saw that the window had instantly repaired itself and went back to its normal state.

With masochistic pleasure I shot my hand. I laughed when the bullet hit my palm and just instantly dissolved. I had landed myself in a Zukin Dream Night. When it's day time everything is pure and fine, but when night time hits and I am lucid, creepy things run about!

I decided to be a part of the creepy lurkers and ran upstairs through the darkness and into the bathroom. I switched on the light but it didn't turn on. I realized quickly that I should have known that the light wouldn't turn on!

I looked at myself through the mirror. In the darkness I could barely make out my eyes. My reflection seemed to mirror not my actions, but what I was thinking. With sinister eyes, my reflection beckoned me to come through the mirror.

I climbed on the cabinet and touched my hand to the mirror. My reflection did the same as I and I pushed through the solid glass and into the next dimension. I stood there, now, with my reflection wondering if she was me or if I was her.

This dimension that I had been enticed into did not feel any kinder than the previous. It felt backwards and sinister. Realizing this, I stepped backwards and away from my hungry reflection until it was too late to realize that I had walked backwards into an even lower dimension.

The way to best describe this is when you have two mirrors across or adjacent to each other and these mirrors reflect off of each other and in the mirror you can see what looks like an infinite amount of mirrors continuing on forever. I kept walking backwards into the next mirror down, and I continuously did this about six or seven times until I had reached such a low point of existence that I was sort of shocked awake and lucid again.

I had been watching my reflection being eaten by some kind of swamp monster - even the hunter had been hunted in this low dimension. I immediately jumped back forward again and started leaving in the way I came, passing through six or seven mirrors and dimensions until I returned to the dimly lit bathroom from which I came.

      Non-Dream Non-Lucid Lucid

I was going down Aberdeen Drive and a give way sign beamed down to my left. I instantly knew I was dreaming, and decided to do some RC's. I looked at a window in a van to look at my reflection and it was normal. Then I went like 50m down the road, and asked a man which had 2 watches, one on each arm, one digital and one analogue, for the time. It was 10:15, and I asked him 3 more times, but the time stayed the same. I was confused that my RC's didn't work so my dream faded.

This was my first Lucid Dream, so I thought RC's work every time etc etc. That's why it faded at the end.
    6. Lucid: Cloud Form (Not Humanoid)

      by , 04-18-2011 at 08:42 AM
I am skipping one massively awesome lucid dream to record this one. The one I'm skipping for the time being I recorded onto audio and will be documented here or elsewhere at a later time. The reason being, it is personal, and it is finally evidence of attempted fulfillment of my lucid task from April 2010: recollection of suppressed dream memories while in a lucid dream.

The following lucid dream occurred without supplements:

I emerged from blackness by opening my cellar door.

I clearly remember seeing the corner of the cellar door appear from darkness as I swung it open into the light of the garage. I stepped out and looked around. It was nearly identical to the way it looked over a decade ago. My grandfathers old brown Cadillac was parked there. I instantly knew "this is a dream!" I thought: this is very realistic and I won't be able to forget this moment.

I decided to fly out of my garage to look for something interesting to get into. With ease I lifted into the air and flew up the stairs. When I reached the door I told myself "Fly through it, this is a dream and I don't need to turn the knob." I flew into the middle and everything just went dark -I didn't emerge from the other side. I backed up and decided to fly under the door instead, which worked with perfect ease.

I flew through the entry hall and under the crack of the front door outside. I zoomed into the air about 15-ft and down the front walkway. When I reached the street I started to head down the block. When I passed my next door neighbors house I paused to think about if I wanted to explore it or not. I decided not to, on account of the fact that I did so in another lucid dream recently (Blackbird Flying).

The house looked inviting and cooler than in real life. There were lots of lights on inside, and some looked futuristic. I noticed my reflection as I started to fly away. It was not human. I appeared to be a wispy tan cloud with two glimmering blue star points of light representing my eyes.

I started to accelerate away from the house when I had an annoying thought... I have "900-things" to get ready for work Monday. I can't just fly away until they are ready... (Things get very hazy and I woke up shortly after this.)

What a disappointment to loose this extreme level of lucidity to anxiety vaguely related to a large work assignment.

    7. Precongitive (WILD): Lucid Animals

      by , 03-16-2011 at 08:40 AM
I have been getting interrupted sleep the past several nights. I casually decided I could use this to enter REM instantly upon closing my eyes. I did this once recently while stressed out (Night Hike on a Freeway). This might be the first dream I ever remembered in which I was aware of being asleep prior to the dreaming beginning.

I saw an image emerging from the blackness. It looked almost like a small flower shaped hole in the dark. I could see a well light sepia tone scene emerging on the other side of it. -I became so excited at viewing a dream form from blackness that I woke up.

I laid still. I was determined to re-enter the dream. I have never re-entered a dream to my recollection. This may not have been the same dream, but the vibe was similar.

I was in the blackness, awake. A fully detailed dream location appeared. I was standing in the middle of the street looking at an old friends house I walk past on a regular basis. I lost lucidity for a moment. Then, as I watched, all these animals started to emerge from around the property. Raccoon's, cats, and then an adorable looking squirrel came hopping in my general direction. "This is a dream!" I said as soon as I saw it. (This moment is almost identical to: Super Lucid Blackbird Flying) I was thrilled. I turned around to take in the whole scene.

When I looked to my left, there charging happily towards me were four large shaggy dogs: Black, White, Burgundy, and Golden. I was so shocked by the closeness - I instantly woke up. (*)

Again I was laying in bed. I didn't move a muscle. This was not a feat of willpower, I was super tired. But internally determined to keep the dreams rolling.

I was in the blackness awake again. I saw a distorted face emerging a few inches in front of me. All at once, a mirror appeared and I was looking into it at close range. This sounds scary, but I was lucid. I started making various expression in the mirror. I looked more handsome than in real life. My skin was perfect and my flaws were gone.

(*PRECOGNITIVE*) When I woke up, I needed to pass that same house. I was planning to make it a good "reality check point." As I arrived I smiled. Looked at the house, then, I looked across the street. -My jaw dropped. Right there, about 25-35-ft ahead of where I saw them: Three medium sized dogs, black, white, golden - being walked by a 30-something woman wearing a hat.

The burgundy colored dog was missing. The real dogs were medium sized not large. I don't recall ever seeing this group of dogs before, although it's possible. I usually do pay attention to the friendly animals I cross paths with in my neighborhood.

In my first dream journal there was a tiny percentage of dreams that weren't quite precognitive, more like educated guesses Dream: 037 & Dream: 067. This 4-dogs dream is the first dream I'm aware of featuring:

      1) So many different dogs together I don't know.
      2) About 75% accurate and did occur asap almost at the exact location as in the dream.

I learned over the years that dreams produce: abstractions of people, mind tricks, fake conversations, illusions, distortions, false memories, etc. I never gave precognitive dreams much serious thought.

Supplements (before bed): 500mg of B5, and 200mg B6. First time trying this combination. I usually take one or the other. Generally, I've found these vitamins help with recall, but cause more shallow dreaming. This dream is consistent in general with past experiences without taking supplements.

    8. My Reflection Is Scared Of Me!

      by , 01-15-2011 at 04:10 AM (Burke's Nightly Escapades)
I was sitting in my living room, already lucid, when i decided to walk upstairs. I walked into my parents room and sat on the bed. I noticed the bathroom door was open and i looked inside and remembered that there was a mirror right as you walk in. I look in the mirror and saw my reflection for a split second, looking just like me, but then it looked surprised/scared and quickly dashed away. I ducked down so that i couldn't see myself anymore, and then looked back. The same thing happened. I thought, "huh, this is wierd" so i walked up to the mirror. When i got close, my reflection jumped back up at me, and scared me!

I stood there looking in the mirror for a minute or so, and it started to act like my reflection again, doing everything i did. But then, it suddenly jumped out of the mirror! Then, it borke the window in the bathroom and jumped outside to what seemed to be a party with people swimming in our pool and standing around drinking and talking. It ran off into the woods and nobody even noticed. I was so confused and I tried to figure it out, but i had
woken up. Just in time, my alarm was about to go off in 5 minutes anyway

    9. The Dark Forest and the Wolf Man

by , 05-04-2010 at 05:00 AM (Visions in the Dark)
I am walking through a hilly, temperate forest at night. The full moon illuminates the way and the sky is filled with brilliant shining stars. I look like my dream incarnate Kalima and I am wearing a lavender dress and heavy grey, hooded cloak. Occasionally I pass large jutting rocks from the side of a hill, some of which have small caves in them. I explore a few of the larger caves but find nothing of interest. I come to a small river and hesitate to cross because the thick forest on the other side seems ominously darker than the one I just passed through.

The river is not that deep and I only get wet up to my ankles as I cross. As soon as I am on the other side I hear a rustling in the dark forest of something that sounds like it is moving away very quickly. I start to run and try to follow the sound, curious to see what it was, but not as much moonlight can penetrate the thick forest canopy and I cannot see the forests floor as well and keep tripping on rocks and roots and stuff. After a while I realize that I am very deep in the forest now and lost.

As I continue to walk I get the growing sensation that something is following and, becoming a little paranoid, I start thinking that I can hear something creeping along the forest floor behind me. I walk for a very long time but eventually see what looks like the end of the dark forest. I start jogging towards the growing light and seemingly open space but have to stop abruptly as the edge of the forest stops immediately at a steep cliff.

At the bottom of the cliff, for as far as the eye can is another forest which gives way to large snowy mountains in the far distance. Immediately below where I am standing is a small sparkling pool that is fed by a small waterfall coming out half way down the cliff. The water in the pool is very dark, but yet the surface of it glows with a soft bluish white light. There are few outcropings in the cliff that allow me to climb my way down to the pool, but it is kind of far and I am tired by the time I reach the bottom.

When I have caught my breath I go over to the pool and look into it's deep, dark waters. The full moon just happens to be in a position in the sky that when I look into the pool and see my reflection, the moon is directly behind my head's reflection and it looks like have a halo. I am kind of amused by this but it is short lived as the feeling that something has been following me is suddenly confired. In the mirror image of the cliff side I can see a wolf looking over the edge at the top and making eye contact with me through the water's reflection.

I look up at the cliff top and there is a wolf standing there staring at me. He is large and grey and black and stares at me hard with peircing yellow eyes. He suddenly leaps from the top of the cliff. As he falls through the air his body changes to that of an human shape, though he still has a wolf face and is covered in wolf fur. He has the strange bluish white glow of the pool and I know that he is the guardian of it. He lands, standing upright but doesn't attack or anything. He justs stands there staring at me, breathing heavily.

I cannot remember any more of this dream.

I drew a picture of the Wolf Man as best I could. See the image here.
